  1. no doubt. more money in LPGA anyways!
  2. Little Campbell would be a major d1 player if she were 5 inches taller.. love watching her play!
  3. yep, almost never misses an open shot, even from nba range.
  4. No. Cousin I think, def not brother. You should watch some clips on him, impressive young man.
  5. Burleson is def a scoring machine for Summertown boys. Shooting release is very reminiscent of Curry.
  6. Agreed! Thankfully Ally's fine! She worried us all at the end there.
  7. Sharing from Loretto Girl's FB page. Look at the scores... Like with GC vs WV last game, little help outside of our Sister tandem. 1st game of the year it looked like this. --------------------------- Took our first loss 46-49 to a talented Creek Wood team. Box scores Julie Clifton - 2 Autumn Buttrum - 3 Ally weathers - 10 Karly Weathers - 29 Laney Weathers - 2 Didn’t look like ourselves the first half. Played hard in the second half especially 4th quarter. Win as a team and lose as a team. Coaches will learn from this as well. Losses can be one of the best learning tools. We don’t like that feeling and plan to do our best to never feel like that again! Go Lady Mustangs!! Thanks for traveling with us, Mustang Nation!!
  8. but you're somewhat right. Although her hand was on her and she extended, it's not as bad as it looked in the heat of the moment. But don't get it twisted, if the situation was flipped, atleast 1 of those refs would've blew their whistle had it been CW driving for the potential win.
  9. watch it again. 31 had ahold of her arm and extended as she was beating her to the goal, it was most definitely a push/hack. nothing nasty at all, but she had her hand on her and extended her arm with her hand on her.
  10. lol.. crazy thing is, at this level, you'll see some girls have a great shooting night from 3, but I don't remember ever seeing so many net swishes from all over the floor. floaters from 5 ft, jumpshots from 10, & 15 ft, the first half was like watching nba accuracy jumpers.
  11. definitely rather it be now than later. But I definitely didn't expect CW to beat us.
  12. y'all will press them all game. we only pressed the first half and very little in second half. turned them over 9 times before abandoning press.. I don't see them beating y'all.
  13. yeah, that was tonight for us. We would've lost to a lot of teams the way we played tonight. Westview probably the favorite in AA after seeing tonight's game.
  14. Summertown has one of the best PG's in the state in Campbell. She's as quick as anyone on JSS, great shooter, great driving to the basket, and great at finding the open man. If she were 3-4 inches taller, she'd be a Miss Basketball finalist. They also have a pure shooter in Burleson. Burdette is definitely a force. They're better than you realize. They've had a few off games, but at their best, they can play with anyone.
  15. pretty much. y'all's D is way better than CW's, yet we put up way less points against CW. CW is a good team, but imo, we've played quite a few better teams this year (JSS, Summertown, Tupelo, Westmoreland, Oakland..) just wasn't our night.. and the refs definitely didn't help any.. hats off to CW on a great win.. should give them some needed confidence b4 facing a team like JSS or Page again come tourney time.
  16. I just dont see how none of them blow a whistle at the end when Ally was hacked.
  17. CW shot the ball incredibly well, especially in the first half (all jumpshots were nothing but net in the first half). Loretto didn't press much in the 2nd half, Loretto's 3-7 players that normally contribute were uncharacteristically out of sync and looked like they lacked confidence. Karly was an absolute beast and Ally played well, but it wasn't enough tonight.
  18. Heard anything yet about how Ally is? I know her knee has to be bruised.
  19. surprised me too.. glad the girls know they can be beat, and what that feels like, it will make them better.
  20. Several missed calls that hurt Loretto in the 2nd half. Two to three shooting fouls called on the floor, two missed walks uncalled against Creekwood, shooting foul on Ally uncalled with seconds to go (she makes 1 of the 2 it's tied). But still, even with that, this loss is due to a combination of great shooting by Creekwood, and some uncharacteristic play by Loretto. Our 3-7 girls weren't firing 3's with confidence, very hesitant even when open. After being down by 14-15 in the 3rd, Karly almost won us this game. Praying that Ally is ok, played her heart out, as did everyone. proud of the way they fought back even if they fell short.
  21. Loretto is experiencing something they haven't dealt with all year. Down by 10 at Creekwood at half. Loretto has forced several turnovers (only reason it isn't worse than 10). Creekwood hasn't done anything particularly well on Defense, we just aren't taking great shots, aren't shooting much at all from 3, and just look out of sync. The score was 6-3 when I got into the stream. I haven't seen Creekwood miss a shot (other than a free throw) the entire game (outside of a few blocked shots). 5 footers, 10 footers, 15 footers, 20+ footers.... they've drained every shot I've seen them take. Gonna have to change a lot after half to avoid a blowout.
  22. yep! Our first District Tourney game is 2/17, championship is 2/21.
