This has to be what the Columbia boys had to be waiting on. Blackman has had there # the first two times,but I doubt if Columbia lets them beat them for the third time. My pick is Columbia because they are getting good play off the bench and they are hot now! This is going to be an exciting game!!!!!!!!!

This was a very exciting game last night. Columbia did what they had to do to come out on top. Ced Chilldress was a key factor in Columbia win. Now it is time for Columbia to put it on Blackman.

I think it is going to be Columbia over Oakland in a good game to see. I think Blackman will come out on top againist Riverdale. This will setup a Re-Match of the Christmas Tourament game between Columbia and Blackman. Columbia will come out ready because Blackman has beat them both time they have played. Last night while playing againist Marshall Co, Bobby Bratton was legging out a play to 1st base and rolled his ankle. It is looking to be Serious. He went to the doctor today but i dont no what the deal is. Zack Gray is out for about to weeks with a elbow injury. And Courtney English is not in the line-up due to basketball. The first week of the season could be very tough for the lions taking in that they have to play LaVergne,Riverdale,and Oakland without there 3 big guns.

I say if Amber has a 20+pt 10+rebs night then Coffee Co. will win by 5. This is a very talent girl with good leadership. I think she should be up for Ms. Basketball. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

THere cant be a Columbia-Oakland championship because if they both win there 1st games,they will meet up in the 2nd round. One of them is gonna have to go and I think it is Oakland because Columbia is playing like champs. It is going to be a very exciting game to watch. Make sure you dont miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who are the for real teams in Tennessee this baseball season?

I think in AAA, it should be Ashleigh Newman and Alex Fuller from Shelbyville, and Amber Benjamin from Coffee County. I have seen all of these girls play this year and they can take over a game whenever they want to.

Last night, Columbia Central put it in Shelbyville by 40 pts! Them Central boys could not be stopped yesterday. I bet you Shelbyville's coach had to fill crazy walking out there to an award that he know he shouldn't have got in the first place after getting beat by 40 in his own gym. Keep playing well Columbia. HARD WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Columbia is going to have one of there strongest teams than they had in few years. Returning there big guns from last year in Zach Gray(P)TN TECH signee,Bobby Bratton,Courtney English,and Grant Nickell,they are looking pretty good. Courtney,ranked 8th in the state out of outfielders,will hold down the lead-off spot and CF. Zach and Bobby are going to be the two aces of the pitching staff. Grant is going to hold it down in the four hole and he can absolutely crush the ball! Theses guys have a good supporting cast in Josh Oliver and Andrew Lurther(pitching) Jay Poling and Michael Kinnard will swing the bat good this year. The thing that may hurt them in the beginning is they are going to be without Courtney for maybe their first 3 or for games because of basketball and people are picking basketball team to go to the state. Once they get everyone there, they will be a team to watch. Don't forget about Tullahoma. They have a strong team as well! [Edited by untame on 2-26-03 9:45P]

My I note that Ahmir Watkins is ranked 53rd in the nation at of outfielders! This kid is the real deal!

There are a lot of good players in middle Tn. Here are some that stand out to me: Kyle Smith(P)-Western KY signee(?) Zach Gray(P)-TN Tech signee Kenny Griffin(P)-Western KY signee Ahmir Watkins(OF)-ranked 2nd in state of outfielders, 53rd nationally Courtney English(OF)-ranked 8th in state of outfielders There are many more but these are the ones I remember seeing this summer.

Wadale Williams in AAA and Tyler Smith in AA are the best two players i have seen play this year. They both can score whenever they want two and have lead there teams to very good seasons! They are my picks for Class AAA and Class AA Mr. Basketball!

I got to attend a workout that was held at Columbia State for some class of 2002 and 2003 players. I saw two kids that really caught my eye and they were Courtney English and Ahmir Watkins. I also got a chance to see both of them play in games this summer. In the game i saw Courtney, he played an excllent game! He was led off the game with a 1st pitch homer and then it another one in his next at bat. He made some good plays in the field as well. Watkins is as quick as light! If he puts the ball in play anywhere, you are going to have a time throwing him out. He always put the ball in play and does what he has to do to help his team win. Out of all the outfielders i saw play this past summer, theses were my top 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
