i played in 1999 and i also played against brentwood in 2002 if riverdale can avoid turnovers througout the playoffs no game should be even close

why is cookeville playing better this year? is it coach chaffin? i know they have some good players but they do not have the tallent the 2000 and 2001 teams had. i wonder what those two teams would have done if they had played for chaffin. the outfielders on those teams were the best trio i have seen in a long time....it was rare to ever see a ball not caught and they could drop some serious bombs. whatever happened to those three....i think it was martin, cobb, and toline?

Im just going to be straight foward this is Jon Ward and i had nothing to do with the Tree planting. Although i find it quite amusing i had nothing to do with it and i dont know whether vic did either. I dont apprecate the accusations because i have deep respect for my former teammates and coaches and the last thing i would want to do is disrespect them. I wish to them them the best of luck the rest of the season. Friday night was a tough loss but Collinwood will keep pumping if there the team i think they are. They have some great kids and we have great fans that will stand behind them and support them. Thats the way it is at c-wood. As for Wayne Co;They have a great team and joseph Ruddle is becoming a productive QB. The only advice i would give him is to cut down the turnovers. Other than that he looks like he could shock some people.

Coach Chaffin told me personaly, that he would never coach high school baseball again. he would rather coach kids in a foreign country who used nothing but a stick and ball. and the comment about the coaching not being there is totally ignorant for someone to say. Pickett, swallows, kennedy, and now hunt are all quality coaches who love the game of baseball. its always been the players that have screwed it up for themselves. and yes there are politcs, but thats anywhere u go. it just takes the players to say screw what our parents or whoever wants and lets step it up and do it for us. thats why oakland, riverdale, and germantown are always at the top because their players are raw dog and play for the team and no one else. they could care less about what negative goes on off the field. they just want to win.

it seems that no one on the cavs team wants to swing the bat. and when they do its at bad pitches. someone on that team needs to step up and say something and get something good started. i sure feel sorry for coach Hunt who is putting all this time and effort into a team that doesn't seem like they even want to be out there. sounds like a typical cookeville team, talk trash about all the talent they have, which they really do have, but then when it comes down to it no one wants to step up and be a leader. then they fold up and quit when things r going bad.

Toline is the real deal. I saw him play a game in Nashville this past season and the plays that he made were awesome for just being a soph. He is not the only one though, Ledford and some others will be with him to help take cookeville's program to another level. Didn't Toline have an older brother play freesafety for the cavaliers a couple of years ago?
