I don't think you all are scared to wrestle anyone, HOWEVER having to come to the Cleveland duals means you get to wrestle it on your own mats, that is big in wrestling, especially if a big loud crowd is there for the home squad, so no I don't think you all are scared to wrestle about anyone! Also, as I said before you all have NO CONTROL on who shows up at an individual tournament you guys are wrestling at, kids get sick or injured all the time in this sport or with Buford some of their wrestlers are football players and they haven't even joined the team by some of these early tournaments or if they have they have a few weeks of practice.

Also it seems someone was lied to when they were "told" that Buford had no other good wrestlers so that's why they only brought 9 to KO tournament. Seems leaving a defending state champ and a state runner-up at home was because they weren't good enough to be at the tournament. It would be one heck of a tri-meet if we could get Camden, Buford and Cleveland at the same time! I think I would take Camden and Buford in those duals but Cleveland would have a shot for sure and that's more than any other team in the state could say!

so why did your daughter go there and not Bradley? Both mine went to Soddy and since Bradley is an open county your kids go where YOU choose for them to go, so you made a conscious decision to go to Cleveland and not Bradley! So yeah, I'm smarter than a third grader, you on the other hand I'm not so sure you would pass pre-k! Seems like the song says, "when it comes to brains he got the short end of the stick" was written about you! I probably should just leave you alone, its hard to have a battle of wits when someone is unarmed.

Well your research must suck! Stick to another job because you are not any good at anything that takes brain power. There are wrestlers that are called to shave points, that’s what I was asked to do and did so. We got pinned at 2 spots that we shouldn’t have and we ended up in a tie. Wouldn’t have mattered anyways as we still would have lost to Bradley. As I’ve said before I wasn’t any good you talking about it isn’t going to make it any worse or make me feel bad about it. I’m happy with the way my wrestling went and have no regrets about it, I’ve had a great life after and did well for myself. You on the other hand have to continue to live through it and now your son, jumped over to Cleveland because your life revolves around wrestling and you have to be a winner in it which is what a bandwagon person does. It’s what you have in life and I feel pity for you because that’s all you have and will ever have.

I didn’t cost us anything, you might want to go look at results. I’ve said multiple times I wasn’t a very good wrestler, still don’t care that I wasn’t as unlike you I have a life outside of wrestling. So at state duals in the semis we tied with Clarksville and lost on criteria. I lost 3-1 to a guy who pinned me earlier in the year and who placed at state. So I did my job very well. I’d have to go back and look at my results, but I think I beat the only guy I wrestled from Cleveland, you know before they got all the money involved, lost to Jimmy Hoover from Bradley multiple times(he won state) but we never did have an issue against Cleveland! Bradley was a different story lol.

Bishop McCort has one of the very best high school wrestlers I have ever seen (and I have seen a lot). There are a lot of teams we would get beat pretty bad by across the country, and I think LHP is one of them. We were not scared to wrestle them and it’s none of your business why we did not. But yeah, we learned about all those teams like Brownsburg by staying in TN and beating up on “lesser opponents” as we are accused of. We learned that by being “scared.” Bro, we travel more than just about any public school in the South. It seems to me like many of you on here are pretty disconnected from wrestling. Lol. Let’s go ahead and get into a debate about awareness of wrestling outside of TN (you ask the people on here that know me and they will tell you that you are not winning that one). And for all these “enlightened geniuses” on here talking about winning streaks, I never said we won 135 in a row, and honestly I do not keep up with it because it is not important to 90% of us that are in the program; but, I do know (because I have been in this game a long time) that 22 dates (not including post-season) is way more duals than 15 or 20. Heck, three dual tournaments is 15. I also know that my team would have to actually have a winning streak before I started chiming in on other people’s. Listen, if it makes you feel better trying to explain away our success and diminish anything our kids have accomplished to make you feel better about yourself or your team or whatever, then have at it. If it makes you feel better to make up stuff like “we never give any other team their due,” go ahead.
Maybe they were joking or maybe you don’t have the friends with the program you think you have, again it’s not hard to do a few minutes of research, seems you aren’t smart enough to do so and so I might seem like a know it all, but research is your friend, sadly you are to lazy to do so! So again they didn’t have 5 wrestlers there. Their 126 finished RU last year in state and wasn’t there and he still shows at 126, Pope is a defending state champ and wasn’t there for 144. So either you need new friends or they were pulling your leg and you fell for it hook line and sinker!

I fully admit Cleveland is going to beat any team in state of TN in a dual, they also are ranked in the top 50 in the country and that’s great! However they never want to give another team their due! Like freco saying that Buford only had 9 guys worth wrestling at the knockout tournament which is so far fetched it’s hilarious! Again, they have no control of who shows up to a tournament, the same thing happened to them at Carnahan when 2 other top 50 teams showed up without 14 wrestlers. It happens and they have no control over that but let’s not pretend it’s because those other teams didn’t have quality wrestlers to bring, there’s all kinds of reasons such as injury, some guys were still in football early season and there’s been a ton of flu and strep going around all season also!

have you been dropped on your head? Buford was missing 144-Gavin Pope he's one of the top ranked kids in Georgia and lost to Nate Askew 1-0 this season and finished 4th at KC Stampede, so pretty sure he would have gotten good points and their 285-Butler is also ranked in Georgia and won Archer tourney and Southern Slam and was 1 round from placing at KC Stampede. He's for sure getting points at Knockout which means they wouldn't have needed anything from the 126-132 or 175 weight class and they most likely win KO. So not sure where you get your information that was all they had LOL.
Also South Dade was missing 2 wrestlers at 126 and 165, any of those weights score anything they most likely also beat Cleveland.
Listen, you all CANNOT control who all shows up to wrestle, but please don't tout something like that and also go on to say Buford had no one else worth bringing and at least look it up before doing so!

they were supposed to face Lake Highland Prep but somehow that fell through! I do wish they would have Camden county or Buford up to the Cleveland duals, I also think Jefferson GA was supposed to be at the Cleveland Duals this year but didnt make it.
Wow, I didnt know Jefferson isnt as good as they usually are, finished 4th in their division in state duals

yeah, I agree. I don't see any way that Summit keeps it within 15 and most likely it will be in the 20's for the win margin. There just isn't a public school team in the state that can wrestle with them! I believe Summit and possibly Soddy Daisy would be their best competition in public schools.

It only takes a few seconds of research to see it has been done previously at least in short research by Allen High School in Texas, they first did it in 2021 and also in 2022 and 2023. It's great they did it in Tennessee, especially for how long the program has been together!

Yeah, I now have DB finishing 2nd while I think they are prob 4th best in AA. I think Cleveland, Summit and Brentwood are all better and will now instead finish 3 and 4th. Just like with individuals TSSAA cares nothing about wrestling and never have!

They beat Station Camp at the Wilson Central duals earlier 64-0, sure it will be closer this time.
signal might have some issues with Tullahoma for sure. I think it will be Soddy vs Pigeon Forge in the finals and be a tight matchup

once they release their brackets tomorrow for their regions I will have a better idea of where everyone slots in there. Pope goes 144 on most all his matches this season and considering we wont have any idea who all they can move around it will have to be straight up their region lineup vs the one you all have used most of the season. Also I like your 285, but I have a feeling he would have a very tough time with Bufords HW so that would be a heck of a match and a matchup overall!
