Let’s set the record straight and then we can shut up about it. Heritage didn’t stomp on the emblem they got on their knees and started smacking the insignia in disrespect. One of the older ladies sitting directly in front of the mockery said she saw one of the Heritage players spit on the emblem. It’s not like they were celebrating their sound victory and suddenly ended up on the emblem. It was planned long before the buzzer sounded. And it’s not that they shouldn’t enjoy their win. They deserved to enjoy it. But why would you degrade, not just a pile of paint with some words on it, but something that the S. C. players, School and whole Community are very proud and blessed to have? It was a great example of low or no class. The actions of the whole team (including the coach) gave the whole school a black eye. A lot has changed with the character of the team since “Yogie” stepped down as head coach. The celebration on the emblem lasted for a good 30 seconds, and coach Howard had ample time to go over and stop the uncalled for act. The Heritage girl’s basketball team used to win and make you like it. Now they win and you wonder why we even played the game. Please do not take me the wrong way. I am not a sore looser. And yes, Cait McMahan is one of the best players (on the court) that I have seen. The ones posting here who are not related to the situation can say were whining or crying or whatever, but that’s not the case. NO ONE likes to be shown such deliberate disrespect, and what Heritage did was not what high school sports are about. Just like one of the Sevier County girls told the Heritage players, when they grinned and walked down the court to the Sevier County locker room, (hearsay) “Don’t apologize to me… If you’re really sorry you wouldn’t have done it to begin with.” TRUE. The funny thing is that more will be remembered by what Heritage did after the game instead of what they did during the game. I feel better now.

Shelbyville played their game tonight and frustrated Sevier County for most of the match up... I wish SC could have got on track butit was just not ment to be this year. Interesting matchup with Beech in the big game... who knows?

He is right vodude... the refs have been very inconsistant (sp) in all the games I have seen. We won... but the refs were not the states best.

This should be a thriller... most of the games Thursday were super. I was very impressed by Shelbyville, but I also feel Sevier County may have something for the Lady Eagles... PURPLE!

Hey freak... great point... Sevier County actually held Fraizer to 2 points for three quarters. I think she had nine or seven the first quarter and scored 2 the rest of the game. The She-Bears will contain just about any great player. It's happened over and over each year.

I don't think it will be that much of a spread. S.C. should give Shelbyville all they want (and maybe more than they want). S.C. is playing very well right now.

Sorry to post over you DCCATVOICE. Oak Ridge is a great school and has a great sports program. Ms. Prudin has always done a fine job. I am pulling for Sevier County to make it to the finals for a rematch with Oak Ridge. If S.C. doesn't make it that far then my support is for O.R. BUT O.R. does go after players. Don't jump on chsbbfan, he is telling the truth... no really... you are sheltered if you havent heard or seen what is really going on.

You summed that up for me chsbbfan. Please disreguard anything you read posted by "doitnow"... All of his other post that I have seen are pretty weak and provoking. He obviously has no clue. AND YES OAK RIDGE "TRY'S" TO RECRUIT... I KNOW IT... YOU KNOW IT... AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE KNOW IT!

I've known Randy Moore for many years and think he has done a wonderful job at Seymour... Hopefully they can keep on rollin' in Murfreesburo! Great season so far Lady Eagles. LIKE A MUG~~~~~

o.k. belle (if that is your real name), do you actually hear what you are saying...? Why do you even try to dispute the fact (i.e. FACT) that Oak Ridge recruits players... quit trying to defend something that you obviously have no clue about... AND I also wouldnt say that the girls at Oak Ridge get the "best coaching." They definitely get great coaching (I personally thing Prudin is a great coach) but it˜s pretty clear that the "best coach" in East Tennessee coaches at Sevier County (think before you type).

Great point Gov... O.R. has gotten the hype and fame all year, and it was my understanding that you show respect to the teams that win.... Well Sevier County has beat them three years in a row...

Dominating preformance by the "SHE-BEARS".... Sevier County controlled most of the game.... You could see that Oak Ridge knew they had ran into a better team, and it showed.

And your right WillieTheWildcat... Prudden is a GREAT coach and from what I've noticed a very nice person... but you know as well as I do that she puts winning ahead of ethics in certain situations. PLEASE don't take me wrong... I repect Prudden... Like I said she is a smart coach, but I personally would rather pledge my respect toward someoe like Coach Huskey at Sevier County. Excellent coach... and everything... I mean EVERYTHING is above board.

All of these sheep that want to come in here and try to tell people that Oak Ridge does not activly recruit players and parents are blind... Just like chsbban put it, "There are girls playing now at York and Sevier County that were recruited but did the right thing and stayed home and it is paying off for them." I've seen it first hand... no sources... no guesses... It happened and continues to happen. It is sad that you have to put that high of a price on High School Sports... Come on'

Angela Phillips from Oak Ridge is a great player... but I would not trade her for TINA BROYHILL of Sevier County. Tina is truly a special player as well as her teammate Melissa Uner. Sevier County should make a good run at the State Crown this year.

What's the specs on Sha Brooks? How tall is she? ect...

You gotta' teach the kids... Middle School programs are so valuable and seem to be more about winning instead of player development. EXAMPLE: how can you have a 6 foot girl (tallest on the team and everyone she plays against) playing the POINT... Give the girls the basics!

I can imagine that a teenage girl, which I have no experience, goes through quite a bit of DRAMA (for lack of a better word). So I don't really think you should judge a kid for being upset about not starting... especially if you don't know the whole situation...

True... There are some great players mentioned so far. Some of which I have seen play. Where are the girls listed going to College?

Sorry DCCAT... Oak Ridge does recruit... It's true... you know it... I now it... and the American people know it. That's what make it kind of nice when they loose.
