  1. You can read the list here: http://www.tullahomasports.com/Lady%20Wild...t-8x10-5-13.htm
  2. First game was 5-1 Lincoln County, second game was 9-3 Coffee County after Lincoln County took a 2-0 lead. Two really solid teams and both did some great things tonight. Good luck to both teams and to Terry Floyd and Troy Smith, two of the finest coaches around.
  3. What a great win for Lipscomb and what a neat way for Danielle and Sara to celebrate Mother's Day (bet it felt like Father's Day to some in the crowd). It's amazing what this team has done the second half of the season. I hope they keep it up. I'm sad you won't get to watch Danielle pitch anymore, but you still have four more years of Lipscomb softball ahead of you, so chin up. thumb
  4. Shelbyville 9 Coffee County 1 Elimination Game at Tullahoma

  6. Tullahoma won 4-1. Freshman Chelsea Jones pitched four shutout innings for Tullahoma and junior Amanda Duke pitched final three.
  7. Junior catcher Shane Smith, filling in for injured senior Jacob Haywood, hit two homers for the Wildcats. Grundy County visits Tullahoma today at 6:30.

  9. Grundy plays at Tullahoma Wednesday.
  10. I didn't get to go and haven't talked to anyone yet, but I'd be shocked if Morris pitched more than two or three innings since he'll probably open the district tournament Saturday. I figured him for a little tuneup today since he he hasn't pitched in about a week. Like I said, I can't say for sure, though. I'll try to answer for sure when I find out.
  11. Somone told me Columbia won by a pretty good margin but I don't know the exact score.
  12. Anyone know the Brentwood-Baylor score in the final?
  13. All I did tonight was watch some great softball teams go at it. It was fun. Finally got to see Paige Lentz from Marshall County pitch in a 0-0 game with Hixson. Hixson's pitcher also did a great job. Saw Brentwood's two sophomore pitchers (they still have two freshmen ready for Saturday). I saw the best hitting team I've seen all year, Baylor, in a 4-0 win over Brentwood, which doesn't do a bad job swinging the bats either. Saw Knoxville Central's sophomore pitcher (sorry don't know her name) who led them to the state tournament last year as a freshman. The team has a lot of freshmen and sophomores and will be heard from the next couple of years. Saw Ashley Sisco, Cumberland County's center fielder who has signed with Motlow, and she was just outstanding. Cumberland's sophomore pitcher, Lauren Brown, whose older sister pitched there until graduating last year, has a truly nasty rise ball that gets better as the game goes on. Cumberland County is a lot of fun to watch, so fundamentally sound. Saw one of my favorites, Chelsea Owens, pitch parts of two games for Lincoln County. She's as talented as anybody there. Saw the scariest hitter I"ve seen all year, Baylor's Mary Catherine ?????? a pitcher/first baseman who flat out rips the cover off the ball. Started home about 8:15 but got sidetracked by the Boston Butt sandwiches they were serving up at the high school concession stand. Next thing I knew I was back in the bleachers with a sandwich and a Sun-Drop watching Baylor and Brentwood. Just didn't seem right walking out on two of the best teams in the state, especially since I was eating so well. And, best of all, spent a lot of time chewing the yarn with Cousy, Elzy, Terry Floyd and several coaches and fans from other teams. It was a grand night.
  14. I only know a few scores but I'll add what I know: Lincoln Co. 9 Ezell Harding 2 Brentwood 2 Lincoln Co. 0 Baylor 4 Brentwood 0 Baylor 7 Coffee Co. 0 Coffee Co. 0 Knox Central 0 Cumberland Co. 3 Knox Central 2 Cumberland Co. 1 Marshall Co. 1 Marshall Co. 0 Hixson 0
  15. The Columbia-Tullahoma game started on time. Great day for the Lady Lions with two one-run wins on the road. The schedule says Coffee was supposed to play at Franklin County last night, but no one has posted a score. Miss Spenser Andrews was very tough again last night. I hope Becky is doing well.
  16. Did they play last night? Trying to update my standings.
  17. Words of wisdom for all. I also happen to know that after your stellar athletic career met its inevitable end, you went on to become the fly in the ointment to the family of a beautiful young lady who went on to give you two beautiful and talented girls of your own. I don't know about Newton's Law, but I figure you proved the value of a good rabbit's foot...
  18. Lincoln County 6-0 Coffee County 4-1 Columbia 3-2 Shelbyville 3-3 Tullahoma 2-3 Franklin County 1-4 Lawrence County 0-6
  19. That's a tough break, especially your senior year. But, the silver lining is she is already signed to play softball and soccer in college, so the hard work has already paid off. She just needs to relax, get healthy then go back to work when the docs say it's OK. I know she'll be fine.
  20. That's what the scoreboard says. I know Coffee was up 3-0 at one time. Shelbyville beat Tullahoma 4-3 in 11 innings.
  21. Coachrt....how is Becky doing? Will she be back soon?
  22. Well deserved honor. A great facility and I know how much work has gone into it. I bet one old fella who put countless hours into it was smiling from ear to ear last night as he looked down on the festivities... thumb
