  1. Final Columbia 6 Coffee Co. 3
  2. 6-3 columbia going to bottom of 7th
  3. Columba 5 Coffee Co. 3 after 5 innings.
  4. Can someone tell me how to get to Red Bank High School's track where the 2-AAA sectional meet will be held Thursday? I'll be coming in on I-24 East.
  5. Did Wilson Central put Beech into the loser's bracket?
  6. Don't know the time yet but I'd bet on 7 p.m. I'll post it on here for you when I find out. Amanda wasn't quite as sharp as usual her first two tournament games but was back on form tonight. No walks.
  7. Tullahoma won 7-1. Whitney Darlington had a three-run homer and Jessica Young followed with a solo shot. Amanda Duke threw a three-hitter for Tullahoma. Shayna Fleenor homered for Coffee County. Tullahoma plays Blackman at home Monday night. Coffee County goes to Riverdale.
  8. Chattanooga State won the state championship with an 8-0 victory over Motlow State today. Congratulations to Motlow on an outstanding season. Most of the sophomores are moving on to play at four-year schools, and a good freshman class will be joined by some very talented recruits to take another shot at it next year. Good luck to Chatt State in the World Series.
  9. Thanks. So far so good. The Lawrence County preachers have done a good job so far this week holding off the rain. Hope they're not in over their heads this time...
  10. Did you get a lot of rain last night and this morning? I see the forecast calls for thunderstorms this afternoon. Just wondering about the chances of playing softball and soccer this afternoon and tonight?
  11. Nice job Coffee County. After battling back through that strange bracket, I think you proved you are the best team in the district this season. Hats off to Chase Jones, a great guy and from what I've seen the last couple of years, an outstanding coach. Good luck to Coffee and Columbia in the regions.
  12. Hey LCSweetz.....way to go. Keep up the great work. A couple of your future teammates will also be playing in a district championship game tomorrow night, only it's against each other. Tullahoma's Whitney Darlington and Coffee County's Shayna Fleenor, both outstanding players, will be playing for the District 8-AAA championship along with their teammates......Good luck and keep us posted on how you're doing. Here is a link to some pictures of Motlow's game today with Volunteer State at Frost Stadium if you'd like to see them: http://www.tullahomasports.com/Lady%20Buck...-5-13/index.htm
  13. Tullahoma and Coffee County at 5 p.m. Thursday at Lawrence County High School. If Coffee wins the first game, they'll play again at 7 p.m.
  14. Hey warrior1912.....Petie (Crystal Peterson for those who don't know who we're talking about) hit one off the fence today at Frost Stadium. If she had eaten just one more biscuit at breakfast, it would have gotten out...
  15. Motlow's Lady Bucks fought their way to the championship round with two wins today. Greenbrier freshman Lindsay Morris threw a four-hitter in a 3-1 win over Volunteer State, then Shelbyville freshman Toni Jensen three a two-hitter in an 8-2 win over Jackson State in the loser's bracket finals. Franklin County's Candace Brownfield homered in game two for Motlow. The Lady Bucks face Chattanooga State in the championship game Thursday at noon EST. If Motlow wins, a second game will be played at 2 p.m. Tomorrow's games are scheduled for Hargraves Field in Warner Park. Great job Lady Bucks.
  16. Atta girl Tommee. Keep it going. Indian---Chattanooga has a great team, their best since Frank Reed left. And, they are a classy bunch of young ladies. I heard Stacia Morton, who in my opinion is the best player in the state, got hurt yesterday. Hope it's not too serious.
  17. Tullahoma won 7-2. It was 3-1 going to the sixth so Shelbyville played better than the final score would indicate. Tullahoma's Whitney Darlington had four hits, scored four times, drove in three runs and stole two bases. Her bases-loaded double in the sixth broke the game open. A pretty good night's work for a country girl.
  18. Ouch. Final: Chattanooga St. 4 Motlow 0 California kid threw a one-hitter. Toni Jensen got Motlow's only hit. Lady Bucks play Walters State in loser's bracket game at 6 p.m. EST. I'm out to Lawrenceburg for soccer and softball. I'll try to update later tonight for those interested.
  19. Chattanooga scored in the first inning and neither team has scored since, although Chatt is hitting the ball well. Their pitcher (I don't know her name but she's from California and her teammates call her "Callie" and/or "Big Mama") has a one hitter. She gave Motlow fits both other times they faced each other. Good luck to LC in your tournament. Has it started yet?
