Soddy had enough money a few years ago to travel to PA for a real tough tournament. The Soddy program has a lot of support in the community. I think they could get the funds to travel to Ryan if they wanted to wrestle in the tournament.

McCallie does not have a problem maintaining a strong field each year even though a few teams rotate in and out of the tournamant. Why does Ryan have trouble getting a strong field? The GP West tournament is the following weekend.

Clarksville, Fort Campbell, Houston and Soddy Daisy used to come to this tournament. It would be a better tournament if those teams were in it this year.

The competition has declined, over the years, at this tournament. Why? Where are all the good out-of-town teams?

Why aren't TSSAA's full financial statements released to the public? All the TSSAA employees are state workers. There is a story on the front page of 6-28 Tennessean about the dirty dealings of a similar "Non'Profit".

All the TSSAA does is take money out of the sport by "taxing" every team that plays. They are state employees who are looking for $$$ to fund their overhead. They make up a bunch of useless regulations so that they can have a job of enforcing them. The TSLA is doing a fine job. Here is an example of TSSAA greed. The state football championship games, formerly The Clinic Bowl, used to be put on by volunteers with the proceeds going to Children's Hospital. Ronnie Carter and TSSAA took over the games and now the proceeds go to line the pockets of the lazy-###### TSSAA workers. Money taken from sick children. They refuse to release any financial statements or budgets to the public. All very secretive. Swimming, hockey and lacrosse are all doing fine without TSSAA. Lacrosse would regret the day they got involved with TSSAA.

I have been out of the high school wrestling picture for over four years, yet it appears that my fame still lives on. How pityful is it that people even know who I am. Good Lord get a life beyond this webpage. You should be embarassed to have an Irishdad reference of any type...move on people. With that said here is my 2 cents. First, congratulations to BELOVED IRISH FOR WINNING YET ANOTHER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. To Coach Simp great job. You always seem to find away to make our kids the best. To the small minded indviduals who feel that our parents got out of line .........grow up. Wrestling is the most intense sport in atheletics. It is all too easy to get carried away in the moment. Having first hand experience of the fine upstanding sportspersons from Baylor or McCallie I can only imagine that the parents of my Beloved Irish could not hold a candle to the unsavory language and antics they have used in the past. So to all the small minded individuals that live only through CoachT I wish you the best..like what my Beloved Irish showed all your sons this weekend..We are the best the very best. All public school students get 100% scholarship to school paid by the taxpayers. It's not free.

TSSAA workers get state benefits and state retirement plans. Why won't they disclose their budget? What do they have to hide? Maybe some excessive spending. I've heard their budget is millions of dollars. If you are enrolled in school, you should be eligible to play sports. TSSAA creates a separate set of eligibility rules for sports. They do that to create a job for themselves. The "waivers" of their own rule are highly subjective.
