  1. I am sure you can expect the Owls to win. I do not know anything about Red Bank, but I have faith in my Owls and know that any of the players that start and the ones off of the bench are potential weapons offensively and defensively. Hope to see a good game and an Ooltewah victory and another double-double performance by C-Dub to follow the four consecutive he has had since the bogus suspension. Keep up the work boyz...we'll be in the stands. The Big Dawg (An OSB)
  2. Alright, well, this looks about as good as it can. Look, in all honesty, why does it matter what fans say about their team. I think the true injustice is the people that do not support their team. I am an athlete and I can speak first hand at the effects of a fan-base that supports you and uplifts you. Quit trying to bash these guys for supporting their team and instead, use the same time and energy to uplift your own team. The things they say are not an attempt to bash you or your team, but instead are meant to be funny and get our own teams fired up. Ooltewah does not have much student support and these guys are doing the best they can with the mere 7 or 8 of them. They seem to get their team riled and people listen considering the effects of a 1st quarter disaster at Louden that the Ooltewah bench will recall. Quit being so down on the Ooltewah Owls and their fans. Its not only inappropriate, its unwarranted. As far as I can tell, Lucky, you got these boys riled b/c you made some comments that were deliberatly aggravating. Go about your business. Ooltewah won't be your concern until Walker Valley visits the nest as Walker Valley is not my concern until such time. If you still have a problem, then I suggest you have a conversation with me about and we'll settle it. (This is not an aggressive action as you might take it, but merely an offer to talk this thing out and resolve whatever compounding issues you seem to have.) Now, on to the Ooltewah Domination...Ooltewah is something in the ballpark of 14-2 including tournament play. I cannot speak of the loss in Daytona, FL because I was not present, but I can speak of the 7-point loss to the Cleveland Blue Raiders. Unfortunately, Ooltewah shot approximately 25-40% from the floor and only made 3 out of 10 free throws. With statistics like that, no one will "dominate" or even win. However, in the other 14 outings, Ooltewah has proved to be an offensive and defensive force on the court. Domination, as defined by Websters, is the act of control or supremacy over another or others. It does not place a value or standard on the domination (such as the closeness of the bout). Therefore, with such information presented, Ooltewas has dominated 14 out of 16 basketball teams. That, in itself, is fairly dominating. Maybe I'm wrong, but that seems to be fairly clear. I am sure there is going to be some form of argument to this, but then of course, why post on coacht.com if you dont enjoy a little argument. I say bring it, I think I can get about as technical as anyone else and still be positive and uplifitng about it all and still prove my point. Oh, since there havent been any number signs on my post then I will add them here for consistency ~ ########################################################################################################## There! Much Better! The Big Dawg WOOF
  3. Hmm, this is a tough question and one that unfortunately can only be answered by the opinions of each individual person. However, if i might shed light on this questionable topic and show you all the true answer to "Who are the top players in East Tennessee?" First, let me begin with a song.....actually, lets skip that part. So that I do not place any higher esteem on any of these following players, they will be introduced by their jersery numbers. To begin, No. 14 Matt Miller (The Professor) - Now Miller Time is an And-1 animal and one of the best defensive players I have seen. Contrary to Walker Valley's "ugggggly" chant, Matt was voted the Best Looking Guy by the female population of Ooltewah, TN. No. 15 Sherman Moton (The Sherminator) - Boyz and Girlz, this is the real deal, the Lebron James of Tennesee, the Kaptain of the Key, the Bambino of the backboard. Playing all over the court he is devastating outside the arch, and when pressured can drive on anybody. No. 20 Courtney White (C-Dub) - He can run, he can shoot, he can dunk, he can rebound, he can steal, he can pass, he can shove Screech across the gym when the skinny kid is in his face, and he can do all this without taking off his headband. The complete and total package. No. 21 Michael Newsome (The Noose) - This boy "hangs" the opposition out to dry. The best player I have seen in my life (along with these other guys) and has ice water in his veins. Doesn't care to get up in opponent's faces should they say somethin about his momma (who is a very nice lady btw) and he knows that his lineman has got his back (this is a message to a certain Cleveland player: I remember when you cheapshotted Mike...that was a dumb move on your part Doolittle). No. 22 Harrison Fox (HARRY) - 12 Rebounds, 3 Blocked Shots, and 8 Points against Walker Valley. The boy is 14/14 at the free throw line and he is an ABSOLUTE ANIMAL. Definately on the list. And last due to the order of jersey numbers, No. 24 Hunter Augustino (The Italian Stallion) - He's one of the few 6 foot tall white guys i know that can dunk (aside from getting hung once, barely) and blow the opposing fans a kiss before sinking a three in someone's eye. He is one of the top stealers I know (on the court now guys, he's not a theif) and did I mention he can dunk every once in a while? That's it, stop the presses, the question has been answered. You can all get some sleep now. Thank you, and I'm Gone. The Big Dawg
  4. If i had to go onto the court in a life or death struggle, i would Mr. T., the Terminator, and the Easter Bunny...however, basketball is not life of death so i would have to pick C-Dub (Courtney White), the Sherminator (Sherman Moton), and of course, our own And-1 Professor...Mike Newsome. And I'm Gone.
  5. Good game to both teams. Ooltewah came out on top as predicted. I would like to say that this IS BigDawg55 and I would like to say one small thing to them good ole Walker Valley boyz that seemed to think me and my friends are retarded... CAN YOU WHOOP ME THOUGH? Doubt it. The Big Dawg
  6. All of the guys you have named are great players and can have an arguement made for them. Though I have 2 players that have not been named that are amoungst this elite crowd. Jonathan Adams- His potential is through the roof and he can take over a game at any postition on the floor. Tony Fox- THE MOST TALENT OF ANY PLAYER IN THIS STATE. he may not have all the god given things you recieve in your gene pool, but I would take this guy to run the 1 for my team anyday of the week. Courtney White- He is my dark horse of this bunch. This ooltewah basketball star to be has already had the offence placed on his shoulders and he can get so much better, watch this name in the future
  7. I think Ooltewah legitimized themselves as a top 3 team in the area with big wins over Soddy and Walker Valley with out two key starting players. This team is a force to be reccond with coming down the streach
  8. Hey luckyday, where is your mouth at now??? did you go the the game to see a great performance by "that fox guy?" Yeah how bout 12 rebounds and 7 points. close to the double double i called. So if you went to the game, you not only realized that WV cant stop fox, and WV is retarded for trying to talk trash after a loss.
  9. I dont think that saying that he is the most talented in the state is out of line at all. You give the heart and work ethic and god given ablility of a guy like Charles Little or someone like that to a guy like Tony Fox he would be a first team all american. And to say that he is only good due to his team mates is insane!!! He played on awful ND teams that doubled and tripple teamed him and he still produced.
  10. obviously you dont know him or you wouldnt have said that. Tony is a kid i had the privledge of playing with and would take him as my team mate over anyone in the state, period end of sentence. He is a tough competator, but you obviously dont understand that you have to be to be successful
  11. he used to go to ND of chattanooga, now he attends knox catholic and is a senior
  12. So being white trash makes you a good student section, being supportive is one thing, its even good to get rowdy, but when it comes to things like throwing tobacco products at other fans, that is sick, crude, and tasteless. That just speaks volumes for Union doesnt it???
  13. Look, I have to admit, spotting the most tallented player in this state is not any easy thing to do, but for anyone that has watched the likes of Tony Fox play, they have been priviledged enough to watch the states best talent. The unfortunate thing for mr. fox is that he has a size factor working against him. This is why he may not be the BEST PLAYER in the state, but if you have watched this young man play, you would agree he has more talent then anyone else
  14. This is brett signing on again on this beutiful day for a harrison fox double double, and an ooltewah victory. I will be at the game for the moron that asked such a stupid question. You have to understand, for ooltewah fans, we dont run our mouths and then not even show up to see our results. I will be there as Harrison proves to the doubters and the haters that he is a dominate force and will be again tonight!!!!!
  15. what ever idiot decided to post anything about a soddy player playing at the next level is absolutly insane. This is the stupidest thing i have ever heard. I watched a pathetic group of athletes get torn to shreds by an ooltewah team without its best player. So whoever is trying to get there best freind some attention, shut up
  16. look guys, this is brett on his freinds name again, listen here, if the owl train is coming to a town near you, duck and hide. Because there is a little secret weapon that unleashed a double-double in his second career start last friday at soddy daisy. That weapon is Harrison Fox. Fox is the reason that Ooltewah will not only steam roll WV, but any other panzy opponent on its schedule.
  17. Ooltewah will win this one. They may be missing White and Augustino might be injured, but that did not seem to affect the game against Ridgeland. The Owls need to stick to their game plan and play smart basketball. Ooltewah +15.
  18. 1. Ooltewah, and that's all that matters...anything else is insignificant...if winning isn't all that matters, then why do you keep score? The Big Dawg
  19. Confirmation: I was just at the Walker Valley game and the shorts (esp. Jessica Watson's) ARE ROLLED. Thank you! THANK YOU!! You girls don't spend countless hours running to hide those beautiful, tan, sculpted,...oh wow. Lady owls have a great team!
  20. Marcus Williams for Ooltewah is the best RB in the class of 2005. He is 5'9 195 and averaged 9.1 ypc last season. This went along with State Player of the Week Honors after gaining 275+ yards for 5 TD's including an interception return. As a LIMITED BACKUP and sophomore for the Owl's offense, Williams accumulated near 1000 yrds on less than 100 carries. Williams' dedication to the Ooltewah program has been as great as any other player wearing the Red and Gray and he has worked in the weight room and at practice to obtain everything that he has accomplished. Recently, Williams posted outstanding numbers in the weight room, benching 300, power cleaning 225, and squatting 500 with ease. He will be a force to be reckoned with for all opposing teams and will dominate the 5A Class.
  21. I think Ooltewah High will do better than they are expected to. All I ever hear from people in Chattanooga is how Ooltewah is going to be terrible next yr and I am not sure what the entire public opinion might be, but I do know it seems hard for a team to regain standing after losing 8 defensive starters and 8 offensive starters (this includes every lineman that has ever started a game aside from one player who has started ONE game). However, the Ooltewah players have all hit the weightroom and hit the field hard in the spring and I expect Ooltewah to only reload the gun.
  22. John Allen 6'6 425 (and yes, that is a four)
  23. I don't know the names of any coachess other than Ted Gatewood. He took a program that had never reached the playoffs before and took the team the the state semifinals, losing to eventual state champs of Riverdale. He was crowned the state coach of the year in 2001 and he continues to build a recurring strong program year after year.
  24. BigDawg55

    Region 2-5A

The Owls have made it to the playoffs for the last three years and this year will make the fourth. The Owls are losing alot of starters including ALL line starters, a RB, and some receivers. However, three of the returning linemen will be seniors and all have the strength and ability to step up and open holes for the NEW RB, up-coming junior Marcus Williams. The receiver corp will be stacked and we should expect to see a new showing from quarterback Justin Higdon this year. Dont expect the Owls to lay down by losing 10 of 11 defensive starters. The Owls lost all of their defensive lineman, one linebacker, and three DBS and had the toughest defense in REgion 2-5A. GO OWLS.
