  1. Pujo, I feel that you have become a little too adamant about this, and it reflects in some of the things you have said and the false hints that you have dropped. Such as accusing privates of slipping the TSSAA money, the "any christians out there" comment (you may not have meant it, but I took that as being a bit derogatory), calling everything a joke, accusing TSSAA of being purely deceitful, and poo-pooing every possiblity. I am very disappointed in the way you are handling this. Normally, you're a great and informative poster, but lately you have become very negative and derogatory to things you don't like. I clicked on your name to read all of your most recent posts and found that the last 15-20 of them are all negative and destructive towards this subject. I know something didn't go your way, but please don't try and make the debate worse in a very harmful way. No one wants to see a horribly negative attitude and false accusations. Please change your tone on this board. Remember: the world is still turning and life has more important things to worry about than this. :justwrestle:
  2. It's funny how things change.... The TSSAA was the greatest thing, and they were evil and vile towards privates. Every public school loved TSSAA, and the privates were even talking about forming a new private association to get away from the iron grips of the TSSAA. And now: the VOTE. A vote doesn't go the public schools way, and suddenly the whole public state is crying fowl and accusing the TSSAA of being a bunch of superior private supporters who are bigoted towards the publics. Interesting turn of events......
  3. I know that most publics won't give a flip about the privates once they leave, but what happens to all of these privates. Are the tentative districts and classes that the Jackson Sun has posted actually going to happen like that? In my opinion, those classes and districts are lopsided. It seems like TSSAA would realign the the enrollment requirements so that A, AA, and AAA would ALL have the same number of teams (this would mean NO super 7). Because 16, 24, and 7 is not a good break-up. And the non-football districts look horrid when you see 2 different districts, one with 5 teams, and the other with 11 teams. I guess this part would be a little harder to adjust since everything is affected by metro areas (maybe they would adjust it by the number of teams representing each region in playoffs). What does everyone think TSSAA would do?
  4. Ok, I got in on this article kinda late, but I have a major question that may have already been discussed. I know that most publics won't give a flip about the privates once they leave, but what happens to all of these privates. Are the tentative districts and classes that the Jackson Sun has posted actually going to happen like that? In my opinion, those classes and districts are lopsided. It seems like TSSAA would realign the the enrollment requirements so that A, AA, and AAA would ALL have the same number of teams (this would mean NO superseven). I guess this part would be a little harder to adjust since everything is affected by metro areas (maybe they would adjust it by the number of teams representing each region in playoffs).
  5. Here's an idea. Forget about the athletes. Instead, hold a lottery every 3 years so that good private school coaches get shifted to needy 1A schools. That will balance things out.
  6. Well, I have to admit: I really hated his hairstyle, and so that's why I turned him. I didn't realize the trouble this would cause. I just thought it would force him to have a better appearance.
  7. Hey, if you notice, no Div. II team is in the Dandy Dozen. The Commercial Appeal is always hard on Div. II, so unless a team is really good, they are not going to get in. Give it a few weeks into the season and a Div. II team or two may begin to appear in the lower spots.
  8. If this is true, then report it to the TSSAA. Hopefully, the TSSAA will take a look at this and decide judiciously, unlike the Gallatin case. E-mail Ronnie Carter or someone and tell them about Boyd if they really do recruit. His e-mail can be found under the Administration on TSSAA's website.
  9. If CAK won, they would have to win by 1 point cause they've won both games by 1 point.
  10. I think we should add a general discussion topic called TSSAA, so we can talk about everything going on with them... maybe even catalogue all the lawsuits.
  11. On the contrary, it is a disadvantage to BGA. BGA has been there countless times - it's the usual for them. Catholic has never been before. You can't say that they won't want it. Catholic will be playing their butts off in order to win. Catholic 17-14. I agree it will be close, though.
  12. A - Byrne AA - Catholic AAA - MBA (Sorry to go against your team, Wes, but good luck to the eagles. I really don't care who wins... just predicting)
  13. Awesome! I didn't realize it was a five day thing.
  14. Man Lipscomb must have played weak playoff teams, beating them 41-0, and 42-7... Oh, wait -- they're just THAT good. Ok, seriously. I am not associated with Lipscomb. I just see they have a good team. They're not as good as last year, but they still have a good team. It's no cakewalk, but they can win state, and I think they will. Tyner is a good team, and they have as good of a chance at winning. I think this will be a thrilling, close game with Lipscomb winning. But we'll see Friday night, right? Anyone know if there is a webcast of this game? I wanna hear it.
  15. Are we not going to have the 3 Division II championship games on the big ones? I think they should be included.
  16. Well, I say BA dominates. They have a young, but powerful team. In the West, it should be Briarcrest at #1. The other two spots should go to CBHS, ECS, or Bishop Byrne.
  17. One word blu: Hilarious! I never thought of an athletic supporter that way....
  18. Well, apparently you're not the team, because you wouldn't be on here if you were. So that means, you don't play, you're not Harding, and you have no right to be on here acting like a jerk.
  19. Good post. Some of the "fans" get on here and say some things that are pretty embarrasing. Keep working, and proving it on the court, where it counts. With that logic, no players should be on here either. I know Coach Froedden doesn't want his players talking anything up on the boards. It takes away from valuable practice time. So, if no fans or players should be on here, let's close coachT down.... yeah right!

Several scores on the scoreboard are 0-0... Can we get those erased so that correct scores can be posted when they come in? Thanks. You're Awesome.
  21. Correction, Ego: Technically Harding never actually made it to state last year, because they lost to Lausanne in the semis and then lost the third place game to Bishop Byrne. Harding lost the majority of it's talent to the graduating class of '03, so I do not see them getting very far. In the West, I look for Briarcrest to be the dominant ones. They had a young team last year, played with heart, and did well. They should continue to prosper again. BA should be the dominant team this year. They have a solid, young team that is blossoming with talent. I look for them to win D2.
  22. Harding had everything last year, but all the talent graduated. It all left with the '03 senior class. Harding's talent tends to flow in waves like that. Their chance to win anything was last year, but they goofed due to poor coaching strategies. I see them getting beat by the usuals like Briarcrest, ECS, CBHS, and MUS possibly picking up wins against St. Benedict and Lausanne.
  23. ECS, but it'll be a good game...
  24. Guys, the four teams left are great teams and all have plenty of talent. Everyone has a chance to win it. The night has come. Good luck to all teams in these two competitions. Play your best. My predictions still stand: Catholic and ECS will win. But remember: anything can happen. Good luck, and make DIIAA look tough.
  25. No, I think that's 6 TD's with no PAT's. Just Kidding......
