Portland has shown some poor sportsmanship in recent years. Late hits, not respecting an injured opposing player, and running up the score. I work there and have noticed a change in attitude with Portland since they won the state. Trousdale runs up the score also, but still shows a little respect to the opponent.

If York wins this one, Macon all but clinches the Region Title with a win at JC.

People don't understand that Macon county people for years and years have been call losers, by people from Hartsville, Westmoreland, and Portland because the High school football was not good. This season is our chance to give it back a little. I am starting to get tired of some of my fellow Tiger fans(tone it down guys). I only talk smack with people who have been showing us no respect ie Muffin. After 30 years of being called losers, and sissies; MC people have a reason to be proud. I have been telling Hartsville and Westmoreland people for years that would rise again and that they would hear some of the same crap they had been saying back. BTW MC grad here Class of 92

I like the kind words from both of you, but the first part was confusing. It is as if he said "they don't rank as good fans". We flooded the Creekbank last Friday. Largest Regular season crowd there in 20 years, according to the Hartsville radio station.

PAPPA...don't you know that Macon with that unscorable defense and that all-time great offense will make the championship game? Heck...I think they should skip 3a and just go on and play MBA or Lincoln County. I doubt either could score on them. MBA or Lincoln?? Get real, these Macon boys need some real competition...Someone call the Bucs, since the Tigers are 6-1, I'm sure there is talk about them in Tampa Bay. Nah...Tampa Bay is not good enough to compete with them. Maybe Carolina could run on them...I don't know. Newsflash...this just in...Macon forgoes the tssaa season and jumps straight to the NFL. Word has it that Peyton called coach Dyer and begged him not to join the AFC South Division. Peyton said that it wouldn't be fair to place a ringer in their division. Actualy a jacket fan told me last year that they should move up too 5A because there was no competion in 3A. I thought he was joking but He was serious. I told him that they should win the state in 3A first before they move up to 5A. It is interesting that Tiger fans talk smack after they win than before. Cool!! BTW you are right about one thing The Tigers are very beatable they make too many penalties and don't have big Game experience. But if they can catch some breaks they are as good as anyone else in the region.

If Trousdale creates a TO like vs Portland then it good coaching, or great defense, but when TC turns it over it's luck that the other team got one. Thanks for the kind words. The Tigers always sold out their side of the feild at least 1 or 2 times a year even when they were 0-10. Usually early in the season or Homecoming. The 10AA basketball tourney used to be 60% Tigers fans (with all of the towns except Westmoreland larger than Lafayette BTW). Heck the other schools never let them host the thing even with the best GYM, because it would have been a huge crowd and advantage for them. The Girls team won the thing 6 years in a roll anyways, and the boys team won a few.

The turnovers didn't kill you vs the tigers. The first one resulted in a missed FG by Macon, that the Jackets then drove down for their only score. The last 2 was very late in the 4th when TC was down 21-7. Macon was playing prevent just trying to run out the clock. The Tennessean and TC fans are making it sound as if Macon would have never scored if it weren't for the INT's. Macon had 0 points of TO's. Macon beat you out right you DID NOT beat yourselves. Tell it like it is.

Law was hurt, he got hurt in the Dekalb game. He is not the best player on the team anyways. He thinks he is though. I wish he would lose that attitude sometimes. You apparently don't have friends or family from Hartsville or Carthage. They have been trashing me for years (mainly Trousdale fans). I have been to at least one Macon game every season since 89 (I worked nights for a while). When Lafayette droped TC they called them every name in the book. They did not know the only reason was that TC refused to play them in Basketball. To someone who does not watch the Tigers much, it may have looked like they were trashing the logo at the end of the game. They normally take their knee in one of the end zones, but depending on the field and situation (the locker rooms are at the end of the feild in Hartsville) they have done it in the middle of the field before. As far a spiting goes how many players do you see spit the water out after they drink it. Nobody from TC complained.

Isn't interesting that a Team that has been called whimps, sissies, losers, girls, and other profane words by people from Hartsville and Carthage for years (I know that for a fact) beats them then, they are called poor sports. Nobody was complaing when Hartsville and Carthage was running up the score last year. BTW Jacob Law was playing injured (MCL) in the Smith Co. game. Also if your no. 4 doesn't show out (high stepping) on that long pass and get tackled at the 10 then it's different ball game. Smith played good but Macon played better.

I don't understand why Macon isn't earning any respect. This is not the 97 team that was the worst team in 3a they have improved greatly. Some people have them rated way below Smith and Trousdale. If they win 2 out of the next 3 they will finish at least 2nd. Judge a team by what they do this year not 5 years ago. Macon 42 Cannon 0
