I reeeeeeeeaaaallllllllyyyyy really hope we win this Friday night!!! I am very excited and I know the guys are too! Some people say it's hard to beat the same team twice, but HOPEFULLY the way our guys are playing this year, it won't be so hard!!! GOOD LUCK FRIDAY NIGHT I KNOW YOU GUYS CAN DO IT! maryville, all i can say is that i am a cheerleader AND i run track also and i high jump and no offense to ANY track person I admire long distance runners for their endurance but i have to admit that for high jump, 100s,and 200s, (i work just as hard for them as i do cheering) i dont have to do as much as i have to do for my cheerleading squad. and yes, to reply to your question of can any cheerleader say they train during the summer i do train during the summer. for BOTH SPORTS. i completely agree with cheernbhappy. if you consider racing, hunting, fishing, etc a sport, why cant you consider cheering a sport? and to everyone thats saying we think our sport (whatever you call it although i call it a sport) is superior, we dont think that. we just believe we should get a little more recognition for the things we do than everyone gives us. i have pulled my acheeles (?) tendon cheerleading. i couldnt do ANYTHING for 6 weeks, so in my opinion, we should get a lot more recognition than the stereotypes everyone puts on us.

Who all is going to be in small varsity this year at state and regionals?

I have to say thank you to everyone who doesn't put down cheerleaders. Most of us actually support our teams and that is our top priority. My squad once had a competition on the same day as a game. The car I was in was going pretty fast to get to the game so we could cheer for our team. We made it for the last 5 minutes, but our players still thanked us for being there and apprecated us. Our basketball team and cheerleaders don't all get along all the time but we dont show it really. We support each other and are proud of each other for everything we do. Oh, and p.s. to who said cheerleaders hardly have an off season thank you for noticing. No one really knows how hard we really work and how little time we do actually get off from it (we have two different squads: 1 for basketball and 1 for football, but we don't have any time because we work very hard)!

I think Macon will be awesome this year!! Even though we're losing Brawner and Huffines and the rest of our seniors, we're getting Hudson, Allen, Centers, Clemmons, Smith, Evetts, Swindle, York, and Law back. Plus the coaches are GREAT! Coach Dyer and all the others have done great with the guys..... they work hard for him, working out after scool, before school, i don't even know how much!! I can't wait until the season starts again! We'll have a few hard teams, but I think we'll do good!! Good luck you guys!!
