As of Tuesday afternoon, Atchley is playing school ball.

Apparently they (Ricketts and Atchely) are playing school ball now! I can't believe you brought the NBA into this!

I have really enjoyed going back and reading about how awful Soddy basketball is going to be this year and how stupid simonzander is. Are you guys just a little worried he might be a little closer to reality than you guys? Lets see........beating the valley teams doesn't count and we should lose to Hixson, oops. Strentgh of schedule is weak, AFTER ONLY 3 GAMES. We should play someone like Notre Dame.....oops. On and on and on...... Keep it up fellas, your comic relief is enlightning. No what, simonzander is enlightning! No one is saying SD basketball is going to win every game, far from it, but just be ready when you play them or you might regret it.

No one has seen Soddy-Daisy's team yet. It's not last years team or coach. The fball players that are going to play will make a huge difference. Go ahead and take them lightly, you will regret it.

SD backs or any back for that matter can only cover someone for so long. Duran himself said he had 6-7 seconds to throw. We never pressured him. It was like a 7 on 7 passing scrimmage-no rush. You can't cover somebody all night. It's a team game, 11 working together. The line has to do their job too.

Yea, i was very surprised to see orr at our game ready to play!! i asked him if he was good to go and he looked at me like i was dumb and said of course. haha. like i even needed to ask that! The difference in the offense is because of the coaching change made in the off season. the earlier offense WAS the dullest offense ever! now we can be unpredicatable and explosive but also just grind the ball out if we need to. if we had the current coach about 4-5 years earlier we probably would have been seeing ya'll a lil more often during that time.

I don't think he ever insisted that they didn't get the job done. it's obvious the whole DB team got the job done by the outcome. Congrats on the win and good luck. maroonandgray, no need to try and rub it in. we know we got beat. he even said DB was the better team. i think it seemed like there wasn't much of a rushin attack either but that maybe because of Duran's 256 yrds passing! BTW, Orr is alright. he just got done playin in a church league basketball game for me and he did a very good job! i think he said the cat scans showed a bruised liver maybe? but like i said before he is a warrior!!

That was one darn good football game! too bad it had to end the way it did. Orr's injury definitely limited the things we could do on offense. I hope he is ok (i have to coach him in a church basketball league!!). That kid is a freakin warrior! the word i heard was either a bruised or broken rib. he was in a lot of pain on the sidelines. i think he can honestly say he left it on the field, along with the rest of soddy's team. they gave a tremendous effort and again some costly penalty's and turnovers hurt them. it was fun to watch these guys play this year and i can't wait for another year of watchin Coach Weather's Trojans take the field. He has done an awesome job with them! DB was very classy and i liked the stadium. it was the first time i had ever been there. Good luck to ya'll the rest of the way!

Umm actually they have 2 common opponents, oak ridge and ooltewah. soddy put up almost half of those points and only lost by 5 at the Ship. i mean if you wanna compare lets look at ooltewah and oak ridge. ooltewah lost by 7 to ya'll so by your logic they should take care of OR but they got beat by 16! hmm i wonder why that is? b/c IT DOES NOT MATTER!! none of the games this year will have any bearing on the game this friday night. which stinks for you cuz that means your team doesn't just get a win handed to them! they gotta play for it!
