a neutral court? come on mrbigster! middle college went to the swamp and beat lake county. they beat lake county @lake county and in memphis. a neutral court really does not come into play, if you can't defend your home. you can play zone against them and you will not win. i think the win against lake county with that crowd acting the way it was hurt the mental state of lake county. the game was close and good teams win close games. lake county had their chances but they could not make shots down the stretch. lake county is a dangerous team, but middle college can matchup against any team in the region, and control the tempo. we have what is know as a portable gameplan. we don't rely on the 3, nor do we rely on a single player. we are a team. we embody that! it will not be easy, but we get a lot of competition in memphis. i think......well, let's just play it out.
Dirtyred..My computer has been down so I'm late replying..I told you I thought Lake Co and Trenton both have a chance to beat Middle..That was before you even played Trenton...Like I said..I believe Middle's outside shooting is suspect...Middle has great athletes and for Lake Co to beat them ,must be hitting from the outside...Middle can take the ball inside against Lake Co and not really have to have a great night shooting outside..Trenton has the height to keep Middle College from creating havoc inside and Middle will have to hit from outside...I believe Lake Co has to hit from outside to beat both Trenton and Middle but Trenton matches up better with Middle and Middle will have to hit from the outside against them...Jamar Mays has been seeing more playing time as of late and looks like he may be a big help...I believe the tournament is up for grabs..Trenton worries me in our 1st game but like you said...the region and how the teams are seeded will tell the tale...Any of our teams could come in 3rd or 4th in the district and still have an excellent chance to win the region..

AND West Caroll. If Trenton has a chance and WC beat Trenton then WC should have a chance. JCS wont make it out of region either...Adamsville has a chance to knock JCS out but it wont matter cause West Carroll and Middleton will be the 2 teams coming out of that region.
And NO bigster and jv this is NOT monsterman. lol seen where yall start accusing other people of being him on another thread.
Sorry btown..Like JV said..we have to question suspicious posts..lol...My computer had a virus and crashed so I'm just now getting up and running again..I am trying to catch up so that's why I'm just now replying to this post..I still see no sign of monsterman yet?

I don't think anyone is really writing West Carroll off. Are they still contender? Yes. Are they still a good team? Yes. I think that me and bigster are just giving monsterman a little dose of reality. He deserves it.
You're right JV..I'm just having fun because of the Monsterman...I have a guy come in at the place I work from Trezevant..His daughter plays for West Carrol..I have fun with him also..He says Webb is a class kid and I'm sure he is...When ,Greenfield beat us,I posted to you that night congrats,that they were the better team that night..I know we have a better team than that..Compare the scores against Halls,Dresden,Trenton,etc...But I also realize it may also happen again the next time we play..Reynolds has been struggling lately but may set us on fire..Shane and Smith are going to get theirs....But have you noticed anything JV?..Monsterman hasn't been on but if you will look at all the posts with Halls,Lake Co,Greenfield,Trenton,etc...you will see Sports Nation in everyone of the posts..And he only has about 12 posts....Do you think what I think?

Good point bigster. They may have been over looking Milan for that tough one later on in the week with powerhouse Clarksburg.
JV..I'm sure that game against powerhouse Clarksburg coming up made them overlook Milan also...lol...I guess Monsterman will be back after that game..At least both of us got back on after our teams lost...

I have never said West Carrol wasn't a good team...I have said all along that I don't think they were a #2 team in the state...There are several teams that could have played the exact same schedule as West Carrol and instead of losing two games like West Carrol has ,would be undefeated...Lake Co,Middleton and Middle College would all be undefeated or at worst have only 1 loss...As far as Webb being the best player..he may be....I really believe he will do better in college than Doakes because he can shoot outside..But at the same time,Doakes is still getting his points against a lot better quality competition..I know how the rankings work,win and you get ranked..no matter the easy teams you play..Play teams from out of state that could beat anyone in Single A and lose,they're perceived to not be that good a team...Middleton has played Lake Co,Bolivar twice,Lex,etc..Lake Co has played 7 out of state teams,Middle College has played a lot of the bigger and better schools in Memphis...But,in the rankings all you see is Trenton,a team that Lake Co has beaten both times head to head,and West Carrol......I have never said West Carrol wasn't a quality team..I wiould probably put them in the top 5 in our region and if you are talking about the state rankings with Temple,Pickett Co,etc..I would have Lake Co,Middle ,and Middleton over both Trenton and West Carrol..As far as learning a lesson,again I have never said West Carrol wasn't a good team..Monsterman said Trenton.Lake Co and Greenfield weren't good teams..We have beaten Trenton twice and I believe thet are a very good team..Monsterman said we were small and not very good..Well,West Carrol split with Trenton..Lake Co beat them twice..WEst Carrol also played and beat Dresden,by 19 one time .not sure about the other time..Lake Co beat them by close to 30 and 40 each game..But Monsterman is from West Carrol but I guess you think it's okay to diss our teams..

Greenfield in the top 10?...2 players are carrying them..Shane and Smith..Greenfield goes as Reynolds goes...if he sits out there and only shoots 3's, then they usually have a difficult time in winning...he needs to drive and create some contact..I've watched them play twice this year, easy team to defend when they are jacking up 3's all night. In that region, Lake county is "running" under the radar with all the attention going to Peabody/Middle college.
Your're right ..Lake Co is running ubder the radar...The key to Lake So is which team shows up...If the team that hits the 3's like they did against Halls and Dresden,they will beat any Single A team..If the shots aren't falling,they are more than likely going to get beat...Jamar Mays seems to be getting more playing time lately and can fill it up along with Tony Tyler..Tyler had 35 against Dresden a few nights ago...I keep seeing Trenton ,Trenton,Trenton has the best chance to go to the Boro...Trenton has a good team but still has lost to Lake Co twice,Middle College...that's the bootom line...Lake Co has played about 9 teams that Trenton has also played and won by a larger margin in just about every one of those games...As far as the top 4..I have also seen all these teams and I believe Middleton,Middle ,Lake Co,Trenton has the best chance to go to the Boro....But since only two can go from our region...I believe Middle,Lake Co,and Trenton have the best chance but Greenfield and Halls could have that one good run and spoil things..I really like Lake Co and Trenton's chances against Middle on a neutral court....I am not really convinced that Middle has the outside shooting if someone played them a zone..With my 4 teams,and only 2 can go from our region,I would have to go with Middleton and J.C.S. from the other district..Not that I think that J.C.S. is better than Lake Co or Trenton or Middle,just they because they are not in our district..

Monsterman/slamdunker, (since yall are the same person) nobody is fighting here. I was just telling "my homeboy" as you call him (or yourself) that I was pround of post that wasn't negative towards Greenfield.
Trust me I, nor anyone in Greenfield is jealous of West Carroll nor thier ranking. Rankings mean nothing in high school basketball, they are just for talk. And until you make it out of the region semifinals, no one will be jealous of you.
You got Trenton on Thurs. so maybe you ought to tell you boys to practice. They are a little better than Carroll Academy and Big Sandy.
And please quite refering to me as "boy". All that does is show your immaturity because you are trying to belittle me over the internet which is what a 10 year old would do.

JV..Where is the Monsterman?Is he trying to be like Howard Hughes?I guess he thinks West Carrol is still #2 in the state...They are not even #2 in the region..I guess having to finally play a good team against Trenton really took everything out of West Carrol..Trenton had too many turnovers in that game..With close to 30 turnovers West Carrol should have won by more than twelve..The score should have been more like our game with against Dresden,96-52...We just happened to have two great games against Dresden and Halls but I still know they could come back and win the next time...But at least we would be losing to a pretty good team,not Big Sandy...WE may also lose your your Yellow Jackets the next game..I know we will have to be hitting from outside...If we hit like we did against Dresden and Halls ,we can beat any Single A team...It looks like Middleton and J.C.S. may be the two best teams to come out of that region and go to sub-state1

Wow..This sounds like a lot of fun...I want to play too...Monsterman won't come out to play since West Carrol got beat by Milan last night...Now,,back to both of you..Have both of you bumped your heads!Lake Co beat Dresden last night 96-52..That's the shooting I have been waiting on and it will happen in the district tournament....As far as the 2nd game with Middle ..I was dissappointed....Lake Co was hitting everything they shot and then didn't score for about 5 minutes..Middle had better be glad..But,they saw the damage Lake Co can do if they are firing on all cylinders..Remember the score was 51-50,Middle College ahead with 58 seconds to play..Lake Co was on the line shooting 2 free throws and missed them both and had to foul...If Lake Co had hit those free throws ,we wouldn't have had to foul and could have easily won that game...Another key play was Kevin Copeland fouling Romeo under the basket while shooting with about 5 minutes left and then said something to the official...The official T'd him up fast so instead of just shooting the 2 free throws,Middle ended up shooting 4 free throws and also got the ball..That was the difference in the game...Middle went from a 2 point lead to 7..But they won so congrats on the win..Now..about the tournament..Lady K and Dirtyred..I was under the impression #3 was going to play #6 and whatever..But,I heard today from a coworker that is good friends with Coach Jarret that #1 was playing #6..#2 was playing #5 and so forth...Do either of you know?Get ready for a lot of fun in Lake Co..And good luck....Your're both going to need it!..lol

Monsterman...Let's see...Big Sandy....Carrol Academy...Both wins..Both easy games..Trenton ..a good team that had close to 30 turnovers but you do win by only 12...At least against Trenton,WEst Carrol had to spend a little energy..OH My...no they must have spent a lot of energy because West Carrol was so used to playing cup cakes that Trenton must have really wore them down and Milan pulled out their can of whoop-butt!..That's what we have been trying to you...that weak schedule would hurt your boys..Play a tough team night after night and your legs become a little tired...You shouldn't have any trouble in your district but in the regiom,we'll see how you do if you have to play 2 or 3 tough games back to back..WEst Carrol is no way the #2 team in the State....Middleton and Middle College are both better teams..

I really do think that you Lake County boys will make it out of the district but I aint real sure. But just remember the Xman rules and West Carroll is the team

Lake Co started this game as if they were going to blow Middle out of the gym ,hitting everything they shot at the goal and taking about a 16-6 lead..I believe they hit 4 straight 3's in the first three minutes..But to Middle's credit,they kept playing hard and gradually fought their way back in the game and took a one point lead at halftime..Middle ended up holding about a 7 point lead throughout most of the 3rd quarter but Lake Co came back and with 58 seconds left in the game,Middle was clinging to a 1 point lead at 51-50 and Lake Co's Lashon Mays was at the free throw line shooting two shots and missed them both..Lake Co then fouled and Middle made a couple free throws to take a 53-50 lead with 28 seconds left...Lake Co still had time to look for a good shot and shoot a three but instead of keeping the ball in one of their guards hands,passed the ball to 6'4 Papa Clay who lost the ball and Lake Co had to foul the rest of the way....Middle College ended up shooting free throws the rest of the way and won 58-50..Middle College is the regular season district champions and should play the winner of Bradford-Halls while Lake Co will have a very tough opponent,more than likely,Trenton in the first round game...There was a lot of questionable calls,but that's part of a tight physical game..Congrats to Middle College...Middle's players conducted themselves very good tonight...I still look for the district tournament to be anybody's for the taking..It just depends who has the hot hand on a given night..Trenton's height alone will give anyone fits..Middle College has very good athletes ,most of them in the 6'2 to 6'4 range and very solid..Lake Co and Halls have to be hitting from the outside to win..Too close to call!

Wow...Middle College and Lake Co are just shaking in their pants..You guys finally did beat a decent team..but I believe it is the #3 team in our district...But you still split...I just came out from under my rock..I think Wes may be at Britney's house..but am not sure about that...I'm getting ready to go to Halls ,I just know that since you have been so good lately at predicting,with the physic powers that you have....well let's have it?How bad are we going to get beat?

You haven't got to worry about me hiding...You split on the year with the 3rd place team from our district...Woo Hoo!I don't know where Wes is..He goes to school at U.T.,so he may be at Britney Jackson's house...But,get real..Trenton had close to 30 turnovers..You hit 50% of those takeaways..it's a 30 point game instead of 12 and that's not even counting the 3's...West Carrol is a half court team..Real big and slow...Maybe we will see you at Lake Co because Middleton is going to host the sub-state from your end..

Like I said,you beat somebody decent..I will give West Carrol credit...But,Doakes didn't get hardly any help and Trenton had close to 30 turnovers...You let any team have 30 turnovers against a good team and it would be a lot worse than 12 points..If a team gets the ball 30 extra times and hits half of those shots ....which would be 15..that would be 30 points extra from two point range..not counting if you hit a couple 3's....So,considering all the turnovers Trenton had..12 points is not too much..and at home...West Carrol will be coming to Lake Co,Trenton,Middle,or Greenfield as the 2nd place team at best...Middleton will win that region..And I'm not sure if West Carrol can beat J.C.S....So,if Lake Co were to win 1st in the region..we will see J.C.S.or WeSt Carrol at Lake Co..If we happen to come in 2nd,we will be at Middleton..And I did say if...Lake Co may get beat by Trenton,Middle,Greenfield,and even Halls and may stay at home..Probably with West Carrol...
