J.C. has i believe it's either 5 or 6 coming back next year that will be seniors.they will have 0 juniors as of right now. and i believe 4 that will be sophmores.am not sure on how many fresmen.if this is wrong someone please correct me.

tenn.tech at cookeville will have bball camps this summer

here at jackson co. we have a home town coach. am not sure as to the year that he graduated from high school.but never the less. i dont believe that coaching the school that you are from should be a concern.for many years jackson co. was the laughing stock in girls basketball in there district and region.used to everyone wanted to play them because they knew it was an easy win.and the first few years with coach brown was rocky. but he got the program turned around and is one of the most respected coaches in basketball with the undisputed best girls basketball team in AA basketball. but whoever is chosen as the coach. the faculty, students and parents need to get behind whoever it is and show that you support them.and respect them.and to whomever is choosing the coach need to choose one that will support and respect the sudents. players and parents.whatever you do do not let politics decide the coach.because its a bad situation for everyone.we know this first hand with one or two of the sports teams we have,we have had great sudent athleats to quit playing sports solely because of the how the coach or coaches treated them.please do not let them make that mistake.good luck to you all in your hunt.and in your sport's seasons to come.

for those of you that were not able to make to the boro. for the jackson co. and westview game missed an awsum sight,correct me if i am wrong. a good educated guess as to the number of fans that were at the game from jackson county numbered close to 2,500. that is nearly a quarter of the population of the entire county.the county seat which is gainesboro has a population of around 1,000.the support for their team is totally amazing.if you ever have the oppurtunity to visit our beautiful comunnity.the way you will know you are there is by the big blue sign that says welcome to gainesboro home of the 2000-2001-2002and 2003 state champions.congratulations to j.county on number 4.and congrats. to all the teams that made it to made it to the elite 8..westview your girls fought hard best of luck in the future...

rankings are just numbers.that doesn't mean very much at this point and time.correct me if i am wrong but i believe mcminn central and walker valley were ranked above j.county and L.A.and both M.C.and W.V. get to watch the state games from the bleachers with paid ticket in hand.
