  1. If anyone is interested in the projected winners of the 1st round of the TSSAA High School football games in all classes can visit this website. unapproved website For instance, Centennial is projected to beat Tullahoma 22-21, Riverdale 62-0 over Coffee Co, Columbia 35-21 over Lenior City, Ooltewah 38-27 over Shelbyville, Columbia Academy 49-19 over Huntland, Moore Co 24-14 over Nashville Christian, Cascade 28-19 over Loretto, Forrest 31-13 over Houston Co, Blackman 31-13 over Farragut, Smyrna 28-17 over Franklin, Mt Juliet 38-21 over Oakland, Siegel 31-10 over Oakland and Independence 19-14 over Brentwood. This is just a sampling of the predicted scores. I found it interesting and pretty much the way I see it.
  2. So take Tullahoma and the under? I sure hope you're right.
  3. I like it. I would travel from Tullahoma to see that.
  4. I don't think Trezevant travels well and wouldn't bring many fans. The reason they are banned is completely different. I was in Cookeville and saw Trezevant play and you don't want them involved. I don't know about this years team, but last year in Cookeville they exhibited very poor sportsmanship. Finley Stadium would be a great place to play this game between Signal Mtn and Knox Grace
  5. Since these two really good teams are banned from the playoffs, is there anyway they could meet in a bowl game? I had seen this on a 1A thread and Knox Grace played in a bowl game last year. I wonder if the TSSAA would even allow it, but it certainly would attract a huge crowd and would be a great game.
  6. These teams only have one common opponent in Shelbyville and the Cats won that one 34-21 and Centennial beat the Golden Eagles 35-7. There are three teams in District 11AAA that are as good or better than Columbia, our district champ. Independence, Brentwood and Franklin. Although the Cougars didn't win against these teams, they were in every game in the 4th quarter. Centennials strength of schedule seemed to be much tougher than the Cats. Centennials 4 losses were to very good 6A teams. I hear the Cougars have a good balanced offense, much like Tullahoma. What about the Cougars kicking game and special teams? This one may come down to a field goal.
  7. That's a good idea. I hope you do it again. I agree, you did a great job with those predictions last year.
  8. If the bookies in Las Vegas put out a line on tenn high school playoff games, I think Centennial would be about a 4pt favorite. The TSSAA bracket in 5A shows Sullivan South with an 8-2 record and a #3 seed, when actually they went 6-4. I wonder if that mistake would have changed the quads?
  9. How far is it from LaFayette to Jackson, Tn?
  10. Centennial travels to Tullahoma Friday night in a 5A 1st round playoff game featuring teams with a lot of momentum. The Cougars are on a 4 game winning streak and the Wildcats finished the season with 7 straight wins. This will be one of the best 1st round playoff games in the state. Centennial is 6-4 with all four losses coming to 6A teams. The Cougars play in District 11AAA, one of the toughest districts in the state with Independence, Franklin and Brentwood. They played those 3 teams really close. Tullahoma is 8-2, losing at Cookeville and Columbia, both district champions. Tullahoma is undefeated at home this season. The winner of this game will play the winner of Lenoir City at Columbia. Tullahoma is a well balanced offensive team with running backs Trey Burks and Montrell Berry and a outstanding senior QB in Jared Davis. Both teams seem to be peaking at the right time. The Cats defense is fast and tough with great senior leadership. Centennial beat Shelbyville 35-7 a week ago Friday, but the Golden Eagles played without their best player in Marquis Morton. Kickoff is 7pm with a capacity crowd expected. The game will be broadcast live on 101.5FM with myself and Scott Shasteen. You can also listen on fantasyradio.com and local Charter channel 6.
  11. On a cold, damp windy Friday night in Lawrenceburg, the Tullahoma Wildcats ended the regular season on a seven game winning streak with a 41-14 victory over Lawrence Co HS. Tullahoma jumped out to a big lead, leading 41-0 in the 3rd quarter and coasted in for the win. Lawrence Co lost over 20 seniors off last years playoff team and is in a rebuilding mode. The Wildcats of Tullahoma showed a good balance of running and passing and special teams play was also excellent. The defense played well most of the night. Lawrence Co tried about every trick play in the book and caught Tullahoma off guard a few times. The projected playoff opponents next Friday night are Lenior City or Anderson Co. Tullahoma will host and is projected to be a #2 seed in quadrant 2 in 5A. It was good to see Austin Creasman and Ryan Lawson get TD passes tonite and Montrell Berry and Trey Burks continued to look good running the ball. Lawrence Co ended the season 1-9.
  12. I just want Tullahoma to get a win and keep the momentum going for the playoffs.
  13. I thought the coaches voted a few years ago to change the playoff system to what we have now. Lets just change it every year. I think administrators should make these decisions anyway.
  14. I'm getting sick and tired of the government taking away our freedoms. They keep meddling in our personal lives. I'm no that religious, but I've got enough sense to know what made this country great and christianity was and is a big part of that.
  15. I don't think I'll have the answer to your question before the Lawrence Co game. Trying to find the answer to that would be very time consuming and personally it doesn't make any difference to me what the answer is. It sounds like someone is trying to find a reason to bash Coach Olive and I really don't want any part of that. In my opinion, Coach Olive means more to this program than just wins and losses.
  16. Signal Mtn fans, you can spin this story anyway you want, but when your lawyers decided not to pursue this case any longer and accept the punishment, that tells me you don't have a leg to stand on.
  17. I think he's won 138 games total against 75 losses, but I don't know the answer to that question. I'll see if I can find out. The way the playoffs are set up, it's not wise to load up with powerhouse teams along with your district schedule. I know one thing, we're fortunate to have had Coach Olive for all these years and I'm sure all the programs in this area would love to have the coaches we have. Only 3 losing seasons in 19 years speaks for itself. I remember where this program was when Coach Olive took over.
  18. I think the folks in Oklahoma felt the same way as Oklahoma was a 29pt favorite over Texas Tech and lost. Its a road game and Tullahoma beat Lawrence Co twice last year. They scored 34 pts on Hardin Co last week. They will be up for this game and its probably senior night. Tullahoma can't just show up and win. Tullahoma should win, but sometimes the football takes some strange bounces.
  19. The Tullahoma Wildcats travel to Lawrenceburg Friday night to play the Lawrence Co Wildcats in the final regular season game for both schools. Its a District 8AAA game and a great rivalry. Although Lawrence Co has struggled this season after losing a lot of seniors off last years team, I know it will be a tough game for Tullahoma. The folks in Lawrenceburg are always great hosts and its a very good environment for high school football. The community support is outstanding. Tullahoma is looking to win their 7th consecutive game and a high playoff seeding for the upcoming playoffs.
  20. I know the Pioneers are a young team, but they fought hard the whole game. Even though its been a tough season, the community does an excellent job of supporting the program. I hope yall get the program turned around soon.
  21. Tullahoma rolled to a 42-0 win over Warren Co Friday night. Montrell Berry returned the opening kickoff 77 yards for a touchdown and it was all downhill from there. The Cats led 35-0 early in the 3rd quarter and the mercy clock was invoked. At times, the Pioneers moved the ball effectively and had a couple of good kickoff returns, but couldn't get in the endzone. Tullahoma won their 6th straight game after a 1-2 start and are now 7-2 on the season. Tullahoma travels to Lawrence Co next Friday night to close out the regular season.
  22. If Signal Mtn plays the ineligible player against Sequatchie Co, the TSSAA will kick the school out of the association and they won't be able to play football or any sport in this state. That's the rule. I don't think I would risk that.
