Wow, I guess HC fans are true to what they say they don't whine after a loss. But then what could one say after being beat like that in a playoff game

I just got back from CBHS what is the final for the HC Melrose game.

Thanks for asking I don't think he has decided on his college yet. He has several offers (and yes I mean offers not just letters another post acted like I didnt know the difference) on the board Memphis, Ole Miss, Arkansas State, Mississippi State and I believe MTSU he wants to make his visits and see if any one else makes an offer. Alabama and Kentuckey have just started calling him. Where ever he decides on I know one thing bluefan2 will be in the stands watching her boy play.

I enjoyed our time on the boards with you, even though we do not agree I have to admit that it was fun finally reading about West Tennessee instead of All East Tennessee stuff. No hard feelings and good luck with your sports programs hope to hear from you in Basketball.

I don't know where you get off telling anyone to SHUT UP! I have not commented on the RHS / HC game in this post. I just stated that I was pulling for Melrose. If that upsets you I am sorry. Good luck Friday night I wish the best for both teams I do enjoy good football and I'm sure that the game will be full of excitement on both sides of the ball.

I''m sure that this post didn't say only the teams that are still playing. give us your opinion on the game. Or is it just because I wasn't for HC. Yes everyone knows that HC is playing and RHS is not so get over it. I am still for MELROSE. And if HC happens to pull an UPSET I would be for whoever plays them next. Believe me JCM is only for you because they don't want to meet Melrose in the next round.

Guess who Ridgeway is pulling for? You got it MELROSE the team with at least 8 top D1 prospects. Their first game there were over 20 recruiting coaches on their sidelines. Go Melrose!!!!!!

ds 40 you seem to have been at the game can you explain to me the 2 incomplete passes that were ruled fumbles because of it being a backwards pass I still don't understand those calls the first of which gave HC the ball inside the 20 If you add up the whole game I'm sure that we both can agree that it was a very bad example of officiating. As to whether the turn out would have been different if some key calls were made or not mad I don't know I agree with you on the ball on the inch line I don't see how HC could not have gotten it After a few days of calming down from such an upsetting game I can also concide that RHS could have avoided the whole thing by keeping the kick off away from #15 like we had done all night long Well best wishes in the future and I guess this will make it more exciting next year if we meet again in the playoffs rivalry can be fun

Who cares where the Refs were from they were terrible and should not be allowed back on a field. In another post someone says they may be doing the game this week. I hope not for either teams sake.

You were right when you said that it shouldn't have come down to any call the refs made but it did. When you have a team like Ridgeway who has come back from behind in 3 other games one in 4 ot to win you know they know how to play until the final buzzer. It was a hard fight though the whole game. The Kick off return by #15 was unbelieveable and should have finished off Ridgeway but with 36 sec. they moved up the field and got the ball in the endzone only to have a bad call (watch it on the film the receiver was not on the line) to nullify a winning TD. It is over and Ridgeway will learn from this and be ready to play football next year. As for Melrose they have at least 8 top D1 prospects and are very talented. I hope your fans come on buses because there is no parking lot around the stadium and around 3-4 thousand neighborHOOD fans come to every game to watch their boys play.

The game is over and I'm sure Ridgeway will never get over their loss, but we will move on and get better with this experience. A State Ring in any Class is something to be very proud not many people can say they have one. Some of Ridgeway players do have a ring in Basketball too, so don't be suprised if we are still playing that in March. Will you be??? I hope you bring alot of fans to Memphis for the Melrose game. Melrose is tough and it has been said by D1 coaches that they have the most talenton one team they have ever seen. At least 8-10 top prospects. As for Melroses fans, it is an experience to go to a game. The entire neighborHOOD comes out to watch their boys play. I am talking about 3 - 4 thousand. Come on buses because there is no parking around the stadium.(no parking lots). They let buses inside the gates.

Maybe you saw something I did not I only saw our coach holding him #5 back. Did he hit someone or throw a swing at anyone. I'm not trying to justify anyone's actions only that person can. And once again one or two out of the 80 boys we dressed out doesnt represent the whole team. I said before our coaches didnot let it get out of control there were not any fighting that I saw. I think only one unsportsmanlike flag was thrown during the game.

Yes you were right the pass had to be thrown before that call can be made but for it to be a correct call we would have had to have 2 receivers on the line. One was a yard or two off the line so the call was not correct. I don't know what game you were watching but calls were not only missed but also made up. Nobody has tried to explain the first so called fumble that was an incomplete pass. When you step back from the snap and throw the ball to the receiver still standing on the line of scrimmage cannot be a backwards pass. This was called 2 times yet on the third time when RHS happened to land on the downed ball it was ruled and incompleted pass tell me the difference if you can in those calls.

You made a comment about Ridgeway having no class after having their hearts torn out and stepped crushed last night in Hardin County. I believe that our boys were acting like anyother team would have after losing a close game. But one thing you should have also said is that our coaching staff took control of our boys and nothing got out of hand which aftrer reading several post on this board doesnt always happen. Sure you saw some kids having to be held onto because their emotions were running wild we had just had a 70 or so yard TD pass called back and the game taken away. I dont think that any team could just shake their heads and say "Oh well, better luck next time." Like I already mention in another post Hardin County is a good team but they need to win one with less controversy before I can say they deserved to win.

I do have to give it to #15 a heck of a return that is why we avoided kicking it it him all night because we knew what he could do. You are very right bad calls all night just like last weeks game against Dyersburg. Well, the only consolation in the outcome is you have to come to Memphis and play Melrose with out your refs to help you out. Hardin has a good team to bad they couldnt prove it on their own with out the Calls.
