  1. I don't ever get on here but wanted to see what the word was on the Lions. Wow, I have not and do not plan on applying. Good luck to the Lions. You lost a good coach.
  2. I'd like to say that I was very impressed with the class and sportsmanship displayed by Halls after the game. Numerous Halls' players went out of their way to congratulate our staff and shook our hands as we were picking all our equipment off the sideline after our team went in to change for the bus ride home. Good luck to Halls in the future.
  3. Thanks Noah, I'd rather be going to Cookville than duck hunting (which I guess I will be) myself. But once again it ain't gonna happen. If you ever need a change of scenery and a blind to hang out in give me a shout. We don't kill a lot of 'em but when it gets right we do OK by most folks standards. Bring Michael along right in the meantime. He's been down with the flu for a week or so now and can't deer or duck hunt or play basketball and is getting kind of ill about it. He thinks a lot of you too just so you know. Now if I could just teach his twin brother Matt (that doesn't even look related to him) to run and hit a lick I'd have two spots filled for you in the future!!! LOL We appreciate your posts coach. tha' duck I may just have to take you up on that offer. I was thrilled that Michael decided to play and even more thrilled when he started to contribute towards the end of the year. Had he played throughout Jr high he would have been a starter from day 1 this year. I do wish his brother would play as well. How many seniors did Mckenzie have this year? I know you guys have to replace the whole backfield? I'm sure someone will step up.
  4. Congratulations to all of those involved with the Rebel football program on a great year! I was hoping to make a trip to Cookeville to see you guys. Guess I'll go duck hunting.
  5. Well, this is the first time I've posted on Coacht this year and probably the third time i've even been on the site this year. To get to my point and clear some things up: I have the upmost respect for every player on Mck team. I know how hard they work. I know they have guys that play through pain. And i envy the type of commitment they have over there. I probably shouldn't even post at all but I'm going to. First of all, I did not call #20 weak personally. The comment I made (in mind with Fussell (aka super linebacker) being gone and new people at inside lb's) was the point that we didn't feel like Mck was as good there as the previous year. It was not a comment that Hargrove or whoever was horrible or whatever. I had to find something and some way to motivate and try to get our guys to believe we could compete. And by trying to make them believe that maybe there was an area to exploit, we might play above our heads a little. It's not personal and obviously some kid on my team took it that way and felt the need to talk about it. Obviously that was not the case. Best linebackers and defense we've played against sense we played against you guys and Union City last year. Good luck to Mckenzie the rest of this season and the playoffs.
  6. Gleason We will begin the week of Feb 16th.
  7. The girlfriend is not too happy, but I'll be there.
  8. If I'm not mistaken, Central had 14 (or more) Seniors on the 07-08 Team. Of that 14, I know 9 or 10 were starters and the rest probably contributed. In a 1A school the size of that, losing that many starters means a couple years of rebuilding. Yeah, they got beat this year. They were young, inexperienced, and had few numbers. They'll be back. I don't usually post but I couldn't help myself on this one.
  9. I don't like replying on this message board. I get on here just to get a good laugh sometimes. But, to correct you. Lake Co did not win a state championship with Jewel and company. They were runners up and I believe it was South Pitt that beat them. I was at the game because I played against that Lake Co team and they had talent on top of talent. Not that it matters, but I could care less about who we play or how many people are enrolled in their school. As long as we are playing football, I'm happy. Good luck to all teams tonight.
  10. Good luck to the Rebels against South Pitt.
  11. I never post on this site. However, since one of the teams from our region is one game away from the state, good luck Mckenzie. I know nothing of the other teams. I predict Mck vs South Pitt. Mck is too balanced on O and have a tenacious D and the best 1A defensive player I've seen all year in Tyler Reeder. I've heard South Pitt is the 1A version of Alcoa this year. Good luck Rebels.
  12. NO, she probably hasn't seen players like her but she did play AAU ball against some of the best competition in the nation. She did very well on that stage as well.
  13. Chad Jordan was a very impressive back. I'd say he's one of the best in A.
  14. urban attended Lambuth University. However, he did not stay very long.
