Turnovers and mental mistakes. You play the way you practice and after the 35-0 loss to Seqyoyah, it's nice to see that things haven't changed for the past two years. Since Jeff Harig has been head coach, the redskins have lost numerous games that they have came into with as much or more talent than the opposing team. What's going on? After talking to several players the last couple of days, I think it is obvious. There is NO discipline coming from the top!
Players back talking coaches and refusing to practice? Hmm. You know things are bad when even assistant coaches talk about the players not being disciplined and not wanting to play for a head coach. Loudon football has gone down the tubes the past couple of seasons, and something needs to change NOW! If not, then I'm afraid many years of tradition will be lost.
My suggestion is that Mr. Harig focus more on getting his team ready for FRi. night, and worry less about what other teachers and community members are doing. If you are going to come in time and again during summer interviews and beg for the head coaching position, why not act like one for a change?
They say that embarassment is a great motivator. If that's the case maybe Loudon will be ok against A-E - because I don't think the Loudon community could be any more embarassed than they are right now!
