  1. The Chester co. thread was blocked so I was unable to respond in that section, but I did want to give an update on the injured player. JD Burton is my younger brother, and he is doing well. He broke both bones in his leg, and had surgery Saturday morning. My mom was blown away by your coach and his genuine concern. He is a class act and seems to be a very nice man. He called to check on my brother, as well as, sent a basket from the team and the Wayne Co community. Please continue to pray for him. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him, but he is in good spirits and says if it's God's will he will be on the field hopefully for MTSU next season. Thank you all once again for your concern and prayers.
  2. 21 to 7 WC...I highly doubt this prediction of a final score. Last year WC did a great job of slowing CC running game down. If the game goes that way again, then we may be looking at another great game decided by a touchdown with the win going either way. If CC running game gets going early giving the D plenty of time to rest between series then look out. CC is big and fast on both sides of the ball with two D1 prospects in 23 and 33, but the great thing about this years CC team is they have so many weapons at several positions and seem to be putting the pieces together nicely. I look forward to a great game. I think we will get our money's worth Friday night with this matchup.
  3. I agree this should be a very close game; however, I believe the Eagles will get the win. This will be the second game were they should have all of their key players playing together. The players that came back from injuries looked a lot better last game and seem to be getting their legs under them after several weeks away from football. The oline seems to be coming together. I think we will get a great game Friday in Wayne Co.!
  4. Congrats on the win! I expect once you guys get in better shape due to the heat restrictions, and we get our 3 starters that were out back these two teams will be in the playoff hunt at the end of the year. The game was ugly but both teams showed heart and fought throughout. Good luck on the rest of your season!
  5. I will be there early! And yes I know it takes eleven, but anyone that has ever played a team sport knows that key players missing can make a BIG difference. These two were not the only ones held out last Friday just the names that are known. I look forward to an excellent, hard fought game by both teams, and a great football atmosphere in Adamsville!
  6. Friday night is almost here and then it will be football time! I've been waiting since the end of last season and look forward to watching my brother and cousin as they enter their Senior year. Anyways, the Cardinals looked good in the Jamboree last Friday, as did the Eagles. Another key point that most Cardinal fans might not have known is that neither of the Eagles D1 prospects played in the Jamboree, so come Friday night you will be looking at a slightly different team that gets a little bigger on Defense and faster on Offense when they're added to the equation. Looking forward to a good game on Friday night in Adamsville!
  7. The top 4 teams will be Chester Co., Lexington, Liberty, and South Side in no particular order. I believe this 2010 season there will be some hard fought games at the top. I'm not sure what everyone else has returning, but Chester Co. is returning most of it's playmakers on offense and defense. They did loose their QB, but behind a great running game the new QB won't have the pressure of trying to win it in the air on most nights. So far from what I have seen, he also seems to be more of a dual threat QB which will help out alot.
  8. They have had some tough breaks, and their inexperience on the o line and defense showed up in the early games resulting in a 2-3 record to start the season. They returned only 7 starters (3 offense, 4 defense) from last years playoff team, but with a lot of playmakers returning maybe we'll face each other again next year. Only deeper in the playoffs!! The injured player is going to be okay. From my understanding, he suffered a high ankle sprain. Good Luck against Lipscomb!
  9. Well played game! Good Luck in the next round!
  10. I agree come on 7 o'clock! I'm sure it will be a well played game, and I pray that both sides are injury free tonight. All of these young men on both teams have worked hard for this moment all season. I can tell you I am one proud sister/cousin win or lose. Be on the look out for my baby brother #23 starting at RB/DE and my cousin #33 starting on the DLine. I'll see everyone after the game for post game post Go Eagles!!
  11. likearock does Giles have a radio station that has an online broadcast? I'm a Chester Co alumni who has been forced to listen to my younger brother from afar since I live in another state. Anyways, I'm not a board trash talker, but I do love and support my brother and his fellow eagle teammates. I have watched most of these young men grow and am very proud that they made it to the playoffs. Most people wrote them off until next year because they lost alot of playmakers from last years team, and they were actually picked to finish in the bottom half of their division. However, these young men have stuck together and I have watched and listened to them fight for not only wins, but fight for their injured teammates, coaches, and their town. Chester Co is a very small but prideful town so win or lose the Eagles always have a pretty good following. As far as this years team, they have 5 wins and 5 loses, but don't be deceived by the record. The teams that they have lost to have a combined record of 43 wins and 7 loses, so they were not getting beat by cupcakes. In most of these loses, a bounce here or there in their favor and they could have easily been 7 and 3. As far as playmakers, after the game win or lose you will definitely know them by name.
  12. Lexington may win this football game, but I doubt Chester Co will only score 7 points. These boys are very good on offense plus Lexington is giving up almost 22 points a game. At the moment, the problem with Chester Co is their defense is still giving up too many points about 30 a game. If these boys can find their defense and their offense keeps putting up points, West Tennessee and the Lexington faithful may be in for a shocker.
  13. Chester county is a good football team. Most people see Chester County and think of their past teams. This is not a Chester County team of the past. Most people fail to realize that Chester County returned six offensive starters from last years team, and also returned a starter that was kicked off the team last year. This has led to an explosive offense that can put up points. They are loaded with backs i.e. Seniors TJ Mitchell, Brent Rowsey, and sophomore JD Burton and Junior Quarterback Ethan Ross is also much improved. Chester County took the biggest hit on defense. They lost quite a few players on the defensive end which has forced most of the players to play both sides of the ball. As this team continues to improve on defense, don't be surprised if they beat some of the higher ranked preseason teams in their region.
