I agree with you for the most part MktgAdMan. I do have to disagree on one player on that list. Todd Cox has great talent and tools but is not one of the best pitchers around.
harding in memphis is pretty awful. they apparently hadnt planned things out too well and ended up having a fence that is about 250 in right with a huge wall because of tennis courts. that fence abruptly ends in right-center and the wall goes from 250 to 365 instantly. there's a drainage grate immediately behind shortstop and the out of play is not bounded by a fence, but instead by a spray-painted white line. some of the fencing in the outfield also has barbed wire.
Did they do away with substate games and move the tourney to an 8 team pool play tournament with 3 west 3 mid and 2 east teams? I have heard rumors but no confirmations on how its gonna work this year.
BigRed, that kid is a sophmore if it's matt lea that you're talking about and he hurt his arm pitching against us. i havent heard anything beyond that it was elbow pain but i have heard that he is not pitching in the district tourney.
I play for briarcrest and I dont know what Morris your talkin about cuz I saw him and he doesnt throw anywhere near 85. yall have some good hitting but that was our #7 pitcher u faced. yall have a solid team and the rematch outta be a good game.
polls dont mean jack. we beat the "#1" and "#7" teams in the state at the time this year, and have been ranked behind a team that we beat 13-4, and another that we beat 20-2 last year. playoffs and district play are all that matters.
