  1. John Raymond Hehn was the Gulf South Conference Player of the year his senior year at Christian Brothers University in Memphis. He hit .484 13 hr 18 2b and 75 RBI. Had a couple of workouts for teams but speed and lack of a true position held him back. He is currently coaching at CBU and for all intents and purposes seems to be the head coach in waiting there as CBU currently sits at 4-26 right now. Surely there head coach won't be there much longer and John Raymond will do a great job if given the chance.
  2. Don't forget how hot Bartlett is coming into the tournament. This is a team that was 12-9 at one point. They have won 17 straight.
  3. no surprise jacob getting it done!
  4. you had me holding my breath!!! good win? howd they do it in the 7th?
  5. dont wait so long...that makes me nervous, i thought mt juliet was racking up the runs!
  6. To say homefield isnt an advantage and to say it is unfair to send oakland to siegel are both ridiculous. its unfair to send them to siegel? don't you think every team there deserves to play at their home field. but to say that playign at home is not an advantage is crazy. there is no way to know the particulars of a field unless you play there everyday. two most important things to home field are hitters back drop and back ground for fielders. to say oakland players would still know how siegel is is to some extent accurate but it would not be to the extent it will be at oakland. the tssaa needs to start seeding the tournament. no way the top bracket should be the way it is and the see the bottom has two teams with losses in the teens and another team with only 21 games. farragut will not face a strong challenge until the championship game. Good luck to all. wish it was sstill in the city on the bluff (since my team has made it the three years it has been in the boro...)
  7. well they have 3 guys that are a combined 23-2 so i would say their pitching isnt too bad
  8. Now someone has finally gotten it. the two are leading the team in average, doubles, rbis, and both have more walks than strikeouts, but yeah them hitting homeruns is hurting the team. as far as the two talking about hr's i wouldnt really put too much weight on it bc in the time i have been around them during this year (which is substantial) neither have said anything about it. i think heith is a little more worried about his pitching than how many hr's he hits. by the way jacob is hitting .480 with 13 2b's 12 hr's 59 rbi's 25 bb's 1 hbp and 24k's. so dont worry about what he is doing hitting, he is just a good hitter so lets not act like he is doing something wrong out there.
  9. Bartletts pitching wasnt that good?! Outside the Riverdale game, they gave up 2 runs a game over the last two days! You saw what was their 6th and 7th pitchers, respectively. BTW, before the riverdale game they had not given up more than 4 runs in any of their 13 games, their pitching is good.
  10. yeah its steven...who is this? i would agree with you but you also have to remember they are all juniors so it could be interesting.
  11. i appreciate it sir. also, yall gonna see some rain today? i play at cbu and it came through here about 115 and suspended our game in the bottom of 4
  12. any details about the bartlett lexington catholic game?
  13. we not have any updates on the second round of games yet?
  14. I could be wrong but at the time i think it was 36-29 and nease was in hoover territory. not that it really matters, just saying.
  15. Ridgeway 5A has already come up that way to play a 4A henry co team. the difference between 3,4,and 5 A are not as big as the differnce between 3 and 1 or even 3 and 2. just look at college scouting, if you dont play 3A or better they dont really consider you. take hewett for example, arkansas st is the biggest school interested in him. its not because of talent its because of classification. schools that size are playing guys on both sides and usually a lot of them, but once you get to the 3, 4, and 5's you dont see that as much. players are more rested and you get a better feel for what kind of player someone is. all that was said in support of OC not playing down in classification, at least not in rural west tennessee.
