  1. Two words: Jimmy Weekley. This is his time of year. He has more state titles than most coaches have district championships. He has done a great job with his team this year and he just finds a way to win.
  2. Ooltewah defeated Red Bank 3-0 tonight.
  3. Kate, Your teammates at Redoubt all wish you the best and look forward to seeing you very soon. We are still keeping you in our prayers and know that you will be fine. You have shown us all what really great courage you have and how you have been so good for other players that have been injuried to use your courage to help them as well. You are truly a great young lady that is very strong to be able to handle your injury with so much maturity and grace. Thanks, Curtis Blair

They will be the team to beat again. They have everyone coming back again.
  5. I heard Josh Martin (Assistant at McMinn Central) was looking at the Bradley job? I think he would do a great job and believe it is time for him to have his own program. What do the Bradley players think?
  6. It was cancelled and has been changed to Monday, April 18, at 4:30pm at Red Bank.
  7. This is all in the past and the following things have happened: 1) Both coaches apologized to each other for the signs and both coaches understand why this occured and was not a big deal to either. 2) It was not a big deal to either coach. I thought it was a bigger deal for the parents. 3) Both coaches were very supportive of the other team and of the game itself. It was a great game and could have gone either way. Shelbyville has a great player in Hannah Martin and has some very good players around her. They have nothing to be ashamed of but everything to be proud of. 4) Both coaches were proud of their teams and look forward to playing each other for years to come. It was a great game that both teams played their hearts out. 5) I think Ooltewah has shown more class this year in winning and losing then in the past. Such as not celebrating the win over Shelbyville right after the game but going and congratulating Shelbyville on a great game and season. That is why I think the parents cared more about the signs then coaches or players. Because both teams(coaches and players) were very gracious and respected each other's team and how they played the game. 6) In the end it was a great game and both teams respect the other teams playing ability which is the only thing that matters anyways not parents or signs.
  8. Curtis Blair will be teaching Wellness at Ooltewah and coaching the Men and Women at Ooltewah this year. He got offered the job on Monday morning and accepted it on Monday as well. This is final and set.

  10. Not really seeing or hearing much about Emilio Sanchez this year. Seeing him play against SD I thought he struggled a little bit but so did Grace as a team. But when Ooltewah played Grace; Emilio proved to everyone why he should be starting and playing. Besides the two GK's for each team playing well. Emilio was the 3rd best player on the field behind (Criss Golden and Jonathan Moss). Emilio caused trouble for the backs of Ooltewah and he played above his age as a freshmen. I was like everyone else I wanted to see if he could handle himself against older, faster, and bigger players. He had a very good game for Grace and deserves to be on that field. As long as he produces who cares what everyone thinks about why he is playing because he is getting the job done.
  11. Any predictions on this game. Soddy-Daisy at Ooltewah at Ooltewah at 7:00pm.
  12. I predict Walker Valley 3-1 to Grace. If it was played later in the year I think I would predict different but playing them this early I have to say 3-1 Walker Valley. Thanks!
  13. Kingston had the best chance missing a Pentalty Kick but both teams after that had chances to finish and neither team did. This game was mainly played in spurts were one team would have the better of play for 10 minutes or so then the other team would have the better play. Ooltewahs GK did come up with a huge save in the first half off of a header from Kingston's forward. I do not think either team was very happy with a draw. I think both teams would love to have tried to steal a win but neither team did. Thanks

Vestavia plays a 3-5-2 and has some very good players. There two front runners, three center-mids, and left back/left mid (he switched) are all very good players. They like to possess the ball and knock it around but do not have a tendancy to go forward as much as they like they would rather just keep the ball. They are very good. Good Luck!!
  16. The big discussion now is should TSSAA allow players to play both high school soccer and club soccer at the same time? Should they allow it but put a limit on it. For example say that you can only do two events on the weekends during a months time? I know that alot of clubs miss out on big events during the fall for girls and boys for the spring because of this reason. What is everyones opinion and why??? Thanks!!
  17. May be not the strongest region but who has the upper hand so far. McMinn County, Red Bank, Soddy-Daisy, Ooltewah or is there a darkhorse out there??? Also why would this team have the upper hand? Thanks
  18. As of right now McMinn County is the best AAA team in the region. They still have great players in Andrew Kimball, Andy Slack, Jared Price, Nick Shaver, and Santi Snellgrose. They are still going to play the same system and the same style and that will not change. It has not changed in years but the only difference is they have better overall players. Everyone says that they got hammered by Farragut last year but any AAA team from our region would get hammered by them. I am not from McMinn County but until someone beats them this year for the Region title they should be considered the team to beat.
  19. The top ten teams: 1) Baylor (because of Coach Weekley) 2) McCallie 3) ND 4) CCS 5) SD 6) McMinn County 7)Grace 8)Red Bank 9)CSAS 10) Sweetwater Good luck to everyone!!
  20. Tullahoma beating Oak Ridge in the quarter finals. Tullahoma losing to Hendersonville 2-1. Then I think the upset from yesterday was Franklin beating Farragut. On paper and records it does not look like much but with Kaley Forest getting hurt that was a huge win for Franklin.
  21. You have to start looking at club soccer. Middle District has Tennessee Futbol Club, Brentwood, Harpeth, Hendersonville, Goodletsville, and Smyrna, that all are developing players. Their are some big clubs in the other part of the state but the number of quality players that these clubs are developing are just better.
  22. Baylor will win for two words: Jimmy Weekley. Jimmy always finds a way to motivate players and does a great job of finding ways to win. That is why I think Baylor is the favorite.
  23. Not seeing Blackmen play, they still should have no problem with Ooltewah. Ooltewah is still trying to find the right combination of players but Blackmen should do fine.
  24. The game is at Ooltewah at 7:00pm!! It should be a great game.
  25. My opinion of the best players in TN (in no order): 1) Sarah Dennis 2) Chrissy Strini 3) Kaley Forrest 4) Ashley Murphy 5) Kristen Garman 6) Molly Turner 7)Monica Dunham 8)Grace Lawson 9) Caitlin Cook 10) Jessica Creech 11)Stephanie Stallo-GK 12) Kelly Dyer-GK Any opinions?
