looks like i'm going to have to create a new screen name. it's sad that someone did this, because it's too much difficulty to look and see whether the name posting has one r or two, and all people are going to see is what was written, THEN they'll possibly look at who posted, and they won't analyze it like i did (because i knew it wasn't me that said it).

i never said 'what a strong team we have', i noted that both we and centennial tied page 1-1. is that saying 'oh, look at us, we're so good'? no. i was asking in regards to where everyone is ranked, who centennial has played, whether we could compete with them or not. no one said we're the best (well, i did a LONG time ago as a joke [that's why i had jk at the end and said PS don't take this post seriously] and someone took it seriously and started bashing fairview) so i'd appreciate it if you'd lay off the fairview blows comments, you haven't shown anything to back it up besides your opinion which doesn't count for sugar. you know what? we DID play page to a tie, and we could have and should have beaten them. one of our players missed an open goal at the end that would have put us up 2-1. page is a good team consistently, they're ranked 6 overall in A/AA state rankings, and we tied them. we lost to CA by ONE point, it was a very close, hard fought game, it's not like these ranked teams are walking all over us. we haven't had anyone 'walk all over us' in 2 years now, so i don't think fairview 'blows' quite as much as you'd like to believe.

i was trying to be nice about it. they should beat hickman. i said don't underestimate them.

we (fairview) played them thursday night. they're alright, don't underestimate them, but they're not especially good. i think they'll beat hickman though.

ok, how are they going to do districts? who plays who in the first round, and how do they figure who goes to region? what do they do in the second round? IS there a second round? we have 6 teams in our district, and i just want to know how teams will advance and which teams go to region and so on.

personally i think CA will take Page without a WHOLE lot of difficulty, but i anticipate a low scoring game, possible 1-0, 2-1, MAYBE 3-1. CA didn't have a lot of scoring power it seemed when we played them, but page really didn't either except for number 21. he's probably their best player, has a nice shot, good control, but doesn't use the team as much as he should. most of their offense is getting him the ball, so mark him up tight and it shouldn't be too much of a game in the middle of the field.

did centennial tie page? yep....have they played any of the other teams they're ranked around/behind?

having played basketball and soccer both for around 12 years, i'd like to say that soccer is definitely more physically challenging. while basketball requires many short bursts of speed, it's not the same. it IS a physical sport, one of the most physical actually, but i'd say soccer tops it. no idea about football, i've never played, i just know you wear a buttload of pads.

jones is out with an injury, correct? albright came in 2nd half, performed well, hartmann didn't play at all did he?

do i detect a hint of sarcasm, or was that genuine? it's so hard to tell sometimes...

i know this is a bit off topic, but i really am tired of everyone complaining about playing a physical team. soccer is a VERY physical contact sport, and if you can't handle it, don't play, and PLEASE don't come in here and whine about it. we (fairview) personally have to hear about it from every team we play, and it seems that if it was illegal, we would have been warned/carded/ejected for our "dangerous play". it seems that brentwood has a problem with franklin being a little physical. well get over it. also, trash talking is a part of the game as well. sure, there are extremes, sometimes it's not needed, but it adds to the emotion, ESPECIALLY in a big rivalry such as this. if you came into this game expecting nothing to be said, then you are very naive. i know i wasn't there to see the game, we were busy with our own competitive rivalry at our field, but i heard the same things from page that i'm hearing from brentwood. granted, no police were required, no one flat out tackled someone on the other team. but still, come on. if you can't handle the game, get off the field, go play ping pong.

where do you think CPA would be ranked in the list? and what do you think about those rankings, accurate or not? i think ravenwood, fairview, page, BA, and centennial are all pretty equal, it seems like it would be a tie for 4th all across the board. page and cent. tied, fairview and page tied, ravenwood beat hickman 1-0 (we beat them 6-0 i believe), they beat creekwood 9-0 (we only beat them 8-0 in our scrimmage). BA got beaten by Father Ryan 8-0, and supposedly FR isn't that great this year. in a scrimmage before season, fairview beat CPA 5-1, and, true, they didn't have their basketball players, but i don't know how much of a difference that would make (well, i know we wouldn't have had 5 goals, but i mean in a win-lose sense). i can't say what i think about the ranking in the top 3, seems accurate enough from what i've read/heard, but i'd say once you get past those 3 it's a free for all in every other position.

who all has ravenwood played, i haven't heard ANYTHING about them til now. we should really have some sort of inter-county tourny, just for fun sometime. sometime this year of course, so i'll get to play. too bad it's too late to schedule anything... how about one weekend fairview, page, BA, centennial, and ravenwood get together and play a little tourny of our own? we can schedule a saturday sometime before school ends. i think it'd be pretty competitive, sounds like a fun weekend. anyone feel up to it? let's go oh, i left franklin, BGA, and brentwood out of this because they wouldn't even consider coming, i'm sure. not competitive enough. oh, also, i don't really expect anyone to take me seriously, so i actually don't know why i'm submitting this post in its entirety...

i appreciate you coming in here and admitting your mistake or regrettable actions or whatever. both teams had their moments, but it was a good game, i'd love to play again. good game to all players, fairview and page alike. #4

oh man, it was nice. i missed the Tecos goal though, i had a fat mexican standing in front of me, couldn't see. everyone around our area was chanting "tacos, tacos!" it was great....

wow, a few good Williamson Cty. matchups on 4/20, eh? Fairview and Page at 4:30 @ Fairview, brentwood and franklin....it'll be an interesting day, eh?
