I have failed in recruiting this year...I wasn't able to get Clausen to commit! I tried the car thing...it worked with Buster Smith. Speaking of Smith...I got Lovie Smith to call Clausen and tell him he would come back to the big orange and coach if Jimmy would just ink with the rebels! It has been a frustrating year! I mean picked to finish 5-5 or middle of the pack and lose only one ballgame...well things are looking better on the horizon...unless of course all the coaches jump ship and go to William Blount and Heritage! I heard there is a lot of finger pointing, trash talking, etc. I heard Rouse is ready to crank up his fighting ways again! Ted had me in LaFollette, Maynardville, and Lutrell but Suzette loves the outlet malls in Sevier County so hit won't be no problem! I just don't want to go up to Pigeon Forge and step on ole Flippers toes! Nine...you are forgetting a lot of rebel backs in that comparison...I think one is playing division one at some South Alabama Cow College right now! Hey boyz! Well listen...Meadow's wife Patty and I are friends and Patty says she would let Scott come back if William Blount would up the ante to 6 percent. She says right now that Scott can't take that cut in pay. Also, Meadows wants to bring Scooter Houston with him and my red and black are a little upset at that notion. It seems they are thinking I have dropped the ball on any potential recruit wanting to come to another Blount County school other than the beloved red and black! Coach Macman is going to Heritage...however, Cait is going to have to decide between football and basketball when he does. With Coach Howard playing favorites and Coach Macman playing favorites...that would be the only reason Cait got to play! I really like the Emert kid at William Blount! He is intense and has a lot of knowledge. I have watched him on the sidelines a couple of times and I like how he handles the kids! That is my bet for the Govs...well unless Patty lets Scott come back to Blount County. GQ will give some outside advice to the former Red and Black coaches who choose to leave a program in turmoil and upheaval! Starz...I have missed you too...you know fer shur that if Ms. Simerlee and Sweet Booty made the (any) motion that rubber stamp Padge would second it! Hey boyz! I had about decided to retire and now this... Jimmy Gaylor is coming to William Blount! Ellis is coming to help him! I know this will be a tough blow for my red and black...but they saw that 3% raise and thought...this is just the beginning. The Blount County School Board has wised up. No longer are they going to spend time renaming Eagleton or debating whether or not to bring Flav-o-rich back...nope they are going to put all their time and effort into hiring football coaches! You have to be impressed! 3 percent...I mean the commissioners went from $300 to $900 per month...it kinda shows you where their priorities are! Heaven forbid a head football coach get $900 per month to coach! That would be misplaced priorities. Everyone knows how easy a high school football coach (in Blount County) has it! Everyone knows how much harder our county commissioners work than any football coach ever does! Hopefully, our county commission will be replaced by our past football coaches...then and only then would things start to turn around for the county schools! Love you boyz! :justwrestle:

Suzette is dating one of the new out of state recruits for Maryville and the tall blonde guy offered him tickets for himself and his family. The only catch was, he would have to sign a letter of intent to wear the red and black next year! It would have been good for me, because I wouldn't have to pay Suzette's way into the game. Hey boyz! My husband says it is a defensive struggle between Green Bay and Detroit! I wouldn't know I have been slaving over the stove all morning and part of the afternoon! My beloved red rebels will win this one by 2 touchdowns! It is a mental thing! Gov Man...do you really think it will be transplanted William Blount back John Lawhon scoring or could it be maybe a surprise back like maybe Maples or John Hughes? No matter...Mo West is a worthy opponent and I just hope they have plenty of Hot Chocolate for me and Suzette! Hey boyz! I tried to post this on the Maryville - Mo'town West thread and of course we got that one locked up tighter than a drum! I just wanted to say...we all have a lot to be thankful for on this eve of Thanksgiving! Our (your) teams were competitive and our kids are loved...well for the most part...except when Suzette starts that back talkin'...but all of these kids we write about are loved, coached, taught and cared about! Ole Susie don't follow the round ball too much...so I want to wish all of you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays! You all have made me laugh out loud...more than a couple of times! Hey boyz! Gov Man...do I remember it...I had the market cornered on Peroxide myself! I used lemon juice on it too! It made my hair slicker than snot when I was laying out at Johnson's Rear Swimming Pool. I spent my share of time at Springbrook pool too! However, the girls I was most jealous of were the ones down Friendsville's way! They had some blonde locks and some bodies that made time stand still...and most adolescent males too! Rebelsman...I was thinking I had put two and two together. I have all the Maryville faithful figured out now...well with a couple of exceptions. I still don't know who Janet Tipton is married to. I also am not sure if Joey Winders married one old coaches daughter or someone else! I think the trojans will be in a cover 2 and that Cade will read the safety. If he bites on the X receiver then Cade will lay it up to Tyler for the Touchdown Rebels! If he stays with the outside receiver then Clement will catch it underneath, break two tackles and score! Maryville is a bunch of high falootin' lookin' down your nose, condescending...well you know how I feel. I mean I have myself to blame...well me and ole' Ted Wilson. Did I ever mention that I dated Joel? I double dated with he and brother Olive at the 5th quarter one night at Monte Vista. Silly goat came by and because us Maryvillians are so jealous he was excluded from our clique...thus the pent up frustrations and envy he has of all Murvillians! I would describe his envy but you boyz are smart enough to figure it out! I still can't get over that game though. I mean the big red rebel machine was down and almost out...and then what happened...beep, beep...see ya! It was all over but the cryin' which is what those boyz are doin' now! Starz, if you bring up the deep fryer, we will have all the cousin's from Townsend coming over. You know how they like that deep fried anything! Actually you boyz haven't been too condescending lately. You know how to treat a lady...well most of you do! Arrington doesn't appear that fast to me...however, he is quick and has good instincts. He played a heck of a game Friday night! I tell you where the props need to go is to the coaching staff one more time! GQ needs to bottle "IT" up and sell it! If I could figure out what "IT" was, I would do the same! What do you old timers think about these one hit wonders on here? They get on here, take their shots, and then leave... I think we know in the late '70's and early '80's that I was #1 in that category! Suzette is moving on up there too! Hey boyz! What a 3rd quarter of play. My boyz played well in the 3rd quarter. I think they had some jitters in the first half and they got outplayed by Central. It was an exciting game but not as exciting as the game in week 9 at Central, not quite as cold either. What did you boyz think about the fumble that Hamilton caused? I thought that was a turning point in the game. I was pleased to see GQ get in their tails over that one. However, it wouldn't have been close if Andrew hadn't dropped that one in the end zone! I hope that is the only mistake he ever makes! He has played solid all year and we can excuse that one! John Paul...sorry, better luck next year! Hey boyz! Are you kidding me qb#7...there is not enough money in that budget to hire good administrators, much less head football coaches. Head coaches should make $8,000-$10,000 at those two schools. Assistants should make a little less but on a sliding scale. Our teachers, lunchroom workers, custodians, secretaries, principals and supervisory staff are all underpaid and overworked! Blount county gets a great value for their tax dollar and until someone stands up to the powers that be...it won't get better! The elected officials sure can vote themselves a raise...but are they willing to foot the bill for average paid coaches, teachers, supervisors, etc. Don't bet on it! It is frustrating and until a (as deddy would say)...ruckus is raised nothing will be done about it. To me the answer is obvious...but those in charge still fail to realize it! Do you think Coach Macman, Reed, Phelps would have left if the money, and support were right? No, not a chance! As I said before, these are principled men, so they might have left. However, I am sure money was one of the factors. Whew! Don't even get me started. They are also bigots! They cut the head principals salaries probably because they are women and you know how that makes me feel! It is not just a man's world...well at least everywhere, but on here! Sorry for the preachin' ...I have to get supper cooked! Love you boyz!
