I think the best utility player has to be Darin Holt from Giles Co. he plays 3 positions and could play 2 more if needed without hurting the team at all. He might even help the team if put at other positions. Great hitter has speed and knows the game just a Sophmore.

Great game decided by one bad play. The game was tied 2-2 with 2 outs bottom of the 6th and runners at 1st and 3rd batter hit a shallow fly ball to right and the right fielder dropped the ball.

You are right hardball the good ones you don't notice during a game and the bad one's stand out like a sore thumb. The one i'm talking about want's everyone to know he's the UMPIRE !! like every knee should bow when he enters the ballpark.

If you umpire you will make mistakes and thats ok as long as overall you try to get calls right. I know some umpires that could care less if the calls are right they have a saying that i'm looking for 42 outs the sooner i get them the sooner i get to go home. I know one umpire that after every game he does he tells that he believes he just missed 1 maybe 2 calls and thats if he's behind the plate. But his next sentence is i realized in the 2nd inning my strike zone was a little tight so in the next inning i changed it. So he don't even believe his own calls sometimes. That also tells me he missed every call the first 2 innings of the game and that could cost some teams the game.

Can anyone post any information about this tournament that will be played April 3 in Lawrenceburg?

Franklin Co. won 5 and lost 1 in the Loretto tournament but that 1 loss was in the Championship game. Lawrence Co. went 2 and 2 in the same tourney i think.

What was the scores of the Franklin Co. vs. Hardin Co. and the score of the Loretto vs. Mt Pleasant and also the score of the championship game?

yes softball girl that's the same Giles County but coaching changes do that sometimes. The year after they won the state the coach resigned.

The coach has decided not to hve a JV team for the 2 year in a row. I think she really needs to get out of coaching if she is not willing to put the time into it to be sucessful. This problem is really bad for the softball program here at Giles County.

The school is Giles County and i don't think you should judge who makes the team by how much money they can raise. If that is where high school sports is headed then the TSSAA is in trouble. The team had tryouts and keep 17 players now the coach said she is going to have 14 players. What would it hurt to keep 17 players on the team?

I know a team that had 2 weekends of tryouts back in August to pick the team and after all this time they say theres going to be another tryout. These girls thought they had made the team. They have ask the girls to have fundraisers to help get money to do some work on the field. Now after having 6! fundraisers they may not even make the team. I think this is very unfair since the girls were not told this till after they had 4 fundraisers. What does everbody else think?

Can i correct the mistakes myself or do you have to do it?

On Giles Co. baseball schedule the March 24 game with Lincoln County should be March 23. Also the April 18 & 19 games the location should not be Loretto. Thanks and sorry for the mistakes.

These 2 teams played early in the year and Giles Co. won by 14. Lawrence Co. has improved so has Giles Co. So who has improved the most?

I think glyndon last post was refering to the Brentwood Acd. game when he said all starters did not score. If i'm wrong lst me know glyndon?

Thanks coacht for the answer. The big reason alot of people don't come to ball games is because of the few times last year when you had to get there at 5:00 just to get a seat. I know its not like that this year but the gym is so small and parking is terrible. Sometimes its a big hassle to go to the good games because of these problems. Maybe a new gym would help things for everyone.

Nobody answered my question yet who gets the money from the gate? I can't seem to find anybody that knows. Pageman maybe you know if so please share it with everyone?

Who gets the money from the gate at high school sporting events? Is it the sport that is playing or the school example does the basketball program get the money for basketball games and the football program get the money from football games? Or does the school get the money and divide it to all the sports programs? If the school gets the money that may be why they don't sell student discount tickets.
