  1. Not any from our school.. I think the biggest loss comes from soccer and track being in the same season..
  2. I think it stinks that we won't be able to come to Optimist because the date has changed and if we were coming i would be upset since it isn't being held at Baylor.. I was really looking forward to the race because I love the course and it's always fun to compete against Baylor and Mccallie..
  3. You were "running" at about 8:20 pace................
  4. Hmm.. You wouldn't be referring to FRA would ya? If you are, it's nothing to really boast about since most of the A-AA teams would get demolished if they were in AAA.
  5. Aight bud, I was happy with what I did during track considering I didn't train for over a month and I was still hurt during the race. I will race Matt in any event any time.
  6. This is my Senior year and I'm not going to let a Sophomore take the title. I killed Matt last year. I bet you all are getting all hype because of that Firefighters race.. Well, my source says it was short, and he ran the race.
  7. I will say that he really impressed me with what he did in AAU but I just don't see the guy giving me any trouble this year. So, BRING IT ON MATTY!!
  8. Maybe you need to run more miles so you would even have a prayer at beating our top three.. For us running is a long term thing. Yes, we care how we perform right now but our main concern is how we'll compete on the college level. Coach tries to get us all ready for the real training and work that is ahead. There are alot of guys that run low mileage, like your team, and run blazing fast times in high school but when they get in college they just fade away because the transition (increased mileage and intensity) is way to hard for them.
  9. If you don't believe, you are welcome to come run in the mornings and evenings with our runners that are racking in those miles..
  10. AT= Aerobic Threshold (ex. 8 miles at 6:20 pace) LT= Lactate Threshold (ex. 6 miles at 5:40 pace)
  11. HAHAHAHAHA.. I Love It!!!!!!!!
  12. Hmmm, we'll see how things play out. We are having some problems with one of our runners. If he gets over what is ailing him (hernia) we will win but if not it will be really really fustrating and close..
  13. I, Billingsley, will definatley be under 16:00. Last year I had some problems and I am working through them right now. I believe I ran 16:15 2 years ago so if I only improve by 15 seconds in two years I will be VERY dissapointed.
  14. Thanks, but that race was pretty bad for me.. I ran it faster last year. I was just having problems with my quads. Who are you?
  15. Yea, we have two guys running 100 miles. They have gradually worked up to it during the years. Thanks, for the support everybody but I'm sure there is a good amount of teams that are as dedicted as we are. In no way does the number of miles you run measure your amount of dedication to your team and the sport. Mileage is just not the way for some ppl including me. I have averaged about 45-50 miles this summer due to some past injuries and it looks like I may be getting a few less the next couple of weeks because of the little incident I had yesturday. I smashed my car into a tree trying to dodge a swerving driver and my back is really feeling it.. .
  16. Man, I'm getting hype already. November 6 couldn't come fast enough.
  17. Last years overall state rankings for teams in -cc- can be found here http://www.btcs.org/ths/sports/track/State...ing_B_2000.html. If you scroll down it will tell you the place that each team got in their division and the places, times, and grades of their runners.
  18. They all have the best returning teams and I know for a fact that Mcminn and Bolton are getting some mad training in and will be contenders.
  19. Houston, Siegal, Mcminn, Bolton, and Science Hill will make up the top 5.
  20. Well I clearly stated that Strang would win the 800 on dyestat... I'm thekidnextdoor
  21. If Mcminn gets past Farragut they will be the state champions...
