  1. Well someone is lying and its not me. I live right down the street (literally seconds) from where she used to live and there is a new family living there...I put that on everything. Their house sold very quickly and if you really just wanted to, you could have driven by and seen the "FOR SALE" signs and if you really knew her or her family, you would know what kinds of cars they drive and know that the people you see in the front yard, mowing or watering the yard or doing what normal people do is not them. I have to drive that way everyday, TWO OR THREE times a day and I know they don't live there anymore. Now, I can't say where they live because 1) it's none of my business (nor anyone else's) and 2) I really don't know (not that I care to). All I know is this, they no longer live in the house they have lived in for many years. Also, Porscha Willis will be back, maybe this week, maybe next. By that time, though (post season play), she'll be back and will have been for a while. The injury was not that bad as people first thought and she says it feels fine.
  2. Bolton won't be coming out of anywhere...they don't really play anyone and couldn't even beat Bartlett, a team that is very young. Bolton has lost 5 games and I don't know who you talk to who is so heck-bent and non-objective about Bolton or their chances, but there are much better teams who may make it out. Sad thing is, there will be several teams left out and the teams who make it to Murfreesboro are not always the best teams from the area because our Regionals are very tough. I think Jackson Northside has a decent chance but only 2 of the 4 from Craigmont, Central, Kirby and Ridgeway will make it which means two possible contenders will be left home. These teams are very closely matched in talent and all have size and speed (except Ridgway who has strong 5'9/5'10 players, but use them well). The rest of the three teams have at least two six foot plus players to go along with good guards. Central has two Divison 1 signees and they have an excellent inside/outside game....shooters and the whole nine yards. Don't count Houston out even though they lost a lot to graduation because they are BIG BIG BIG. I want to say Craigmont will be a lock to at least make it to Murfreesboro since Jessica Jackson is now back, to play with Latoya Bullard (which is deadly) but no one is ever a lock when the games are played on the court and if coaching is involved. I'm looking for them to make a good run, though, and I hope I'm right...they should have been there last year but had a letdown at the end which was not all their fault (the players). The other three teams will battle it out, I'm sure...it will be interesting and I think that two teams will actually come from Memphis again this year...Jackson Northside is going to have their hands full although they are a good defensive team with good guards. Their inside people are just too slow to matchup with the post players on all of these teams and they even struggled with Ridgeway's smaller posts players in the second matchup. But hey, what do I know?? We'll see how accurate I am in a few weeks.
  3. I'm not mad at you, 90s warrior. That would be a complete waste of energy. I just told you my opinion which is just that, MY OPINION. You've never said anything to offend me or anything to attack me personally (WesCharge has and I still love him ). I don't like you misusing my name, though...its not really funny and does make you seem kinda crazy. You're fine...we don't all see to eye-to-eye all the time! Have fun and enjoy the basketball season (as you seem to be doing!!)
  4. Friday, February 20th. Sorry it took me so long to answer, HeavyD. I wasn't trying to ignore you and had to find out for sure when they are going to be held. Are you making plans to attend??
  5. I'm not arguing...I asked you nicely. Most of the time when I kid around with you, its all in good fun...I now think that you, on the other hand, are serious in your attempts to offend and belittle people. At first, I thought you were joking, too, but I see now that you have very little tact, say anything that comes to mind, and have no intention of being responsible for what you say. Shame on you... The reason you don't want to discuss it because 1) you know you are wrong and 2) you are in denial (but you still really know) that those are offensive comments. Especially the one you made a few weeks back about "ebonics". I really gave you more credit than that...I thought you were really more educated and compassinate than what you have shown, as opposed to the jerk I thought you were last year and the year before. Now I see you for what you really are and I'm done discussing it. I won't respond or post in response to you anymore. I know you don't care, but that's that. Have a good life!! (And I really do mean that and not in a hateful way). P.S--everyone else, this is the end of the Cutiepie and Wescharge comedy dialogues...I am glad I could entertain, but all great things must and do come to an end!! :justwrestle:
  6. I didn't say they were well-coached...I just said they are starting to "look" well-coached. By the way, Wes, you never responded to the favor that I asked you in that post yesterday...Cat got your tongue?? I KNOW its not that...what's the problem?? :justwrestle:
  7. Ridgeway, Ridgeway, Ridgeway...they are going to give either Kirby or Craigmont fits...I have made it a point to go and watch them 3 or 4 times. They lost to Jackson Northside, then beat them. They lost to Kirby by 3 or 4 a couple of weeks ago and have the speed, guard play, and power to play Craigmont well, even with Jessica back. I think Coach Moore must have gotten some help or really learned something about basketball because they are really starting to look pretty well coached.
  8. I think Kirby has the best chance and should Craigmont make it to the City Championships, it will be a good game...I don't look for Central to be able to do anything with them again. If Kirby plays their "A" game night in and night out, they should be going to State with Craigmont, no doubt. Both teams have to be consistent every game just to make it out of our region, though because there is still Hamilton, Bolton and of course Ridgeway to contend with.
  9. I didn't go to the game...that's what happened...its all my fault. LOL! Hey, we both know no one can beat Central at Central. Buutttt, only 1 week until Jessica Jackson will be playing, then no one will be laughing...and you know that, too. We'll get them because they won't be able to double and triple team LaToya with a 6'5 All American in the front court...NO WAY. BTW, the game went down to the wire and Demetrice Preyer hit a three either at or after the buzzer. I wasn't there so I don't know but everyone's saying that two refs waived it off and one counted it. Craigmont had already gone into the locker room because they were sure it didn't count, but since the crowd ran onto the floor, the refs were scared to overturn it...you know how rowdy Central's crowd can be. Anyway, the game shouldn't have been that close and should not have come down to that last call...they should have played better.
  10. Wes, You know I love you and everything, but, why do you have to have use racially targeted phrases and slang? That is really tasteless and offensive and I'm not kidding this time. I like to joke with you and everything, but that is totally uncalled for and thought I should let you know. We are too far removed from that type of stuff as a society for someone to show how truly ignorant they still are in the year 2004. I'm asking nicely, please stop. If you can't be witty without being offensive then I can't continue to exchange posts with you.
  11. WesCharge...I'll be at your dad's house...getting him to change his will and leave everything to me. (haha...I love being evil!!) just kidding!!
  12. Thanks for responding, 90sWarrior. With that post, I don't hold you responsible for any mistakes or omissions in your dumb little polls. That post told me everything I need to know about the person who wrote the poll and I'll just ignore your polls from now on and consider the source. You have absolutely no knowledge (or credibility now for that matter) about Tennessee girls basketball. None whatsoever. Had you gone to the state tournament last year and the year before, you would have known that East lost by 2 to an Oak Ridge team that beat the year before and that Melrose only lost by 3 or 5. Plus, Ridgeway beat Oliver Springs year before last as well. You reference the 90s by saying that the blowouts occurred then, but 1) we are not living in the 90s and 2) Memphis Hamilton had 2 or 3 appearances where they made it to the championship game, beating several top teams along the way. Before you claim to know about girls basketball in this state in the past and present, either do some research OR actually attend a state championship. See you in Murfreesboro!! (or as you would say, "PROLLY NOT!)
  13. 90swarrior, it seems your poll changes every week (not that your poll really matters or anything) and teams that are in your poll that DON'T lose and continue to win, STILL get punished (according to you) and drop out of your poll. Every new "team on the block" that you've heard about all of a sudden, gets placed in your poll. Sheesh..I'm glad you don't do the polls...Bolton really hasn't played anyone and I am definitely not anti-bolton, but just wanted to tell you to continue to research. Plus, as far as Kirby's 2 losses to nobody, one of those nobodies was a well-coached Melrose squad that lost to Sevier County by 4 or 5 at State last year and the other is a really good Central team that has a chance to make some noise and challenge Craigmont in district 16AAA because they are big AND quick. I think YOU even forget what teams are in your polls on a daily basis.
  14. Wow...UNBELIEVABLE. The creator of the redneck dictionary (you) doesn't even know that "yerself" is redneck for yourself. I was trying to make it easier by speaking your language. I would think any fool can speak in their native tongue...boy, you're dumber than I first imagined (I thought it was impossible for you to be dumber, but you never cease to amaze me!!) Just give it up...you are not funny, you are not witty (and came to this battle of wits unarmed with no armor or artillary) and have the IQ of a sesame seed. You will never defeat me...you're just making a fool of yourself. Everyone is laughing AT you...not with you. Boy, some people NEVER learn. I ashamed that you're my dad...and I am now disowning you.
  15. Ok, trojanbob...you win...I'll be the first to make a nice comment. WesCharge, I'm sorry.... ...that you're a total waste of flesh! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA GOTCHA!!
  16. First of all, NO, you didn't spell it right (your "6th grade only" education is really starting to haunt you) and second, why don't you give me the dang $12 since you're my dang Daddy?!! Or are you a "DEADBEAT DAD"?? Oh, I forgot, since you only have a 6th grade education, you can't afford to get me and you a membership...you're the typical deadbeat dad, only getting one for yerself...and you're not smart enough to spend it on something better like that "get-it-at-home" High School Diploma/GED that you keep braggin to everyone that you'll get one day soon. Yeah...we're tired of waiting, BIG BOY! Apply yourself. I really crack myself up!! (and you,too--just admit it--wave the white flag and surrender yourself to one who is truly wiser and wittier--the woman has spoken!! Defeat is inevitable)
  17. WesCharge, I am SO PROUD OF YOU!! You must be really tired after spending all of yesterday afternoon and last night coming up with that one. We know how hard and exhausting it can be for our "special" friends to exert their brains in that way...but that's okay, though...you can be anything you want to be in life and do whatever you want to do just like the rest of us, Okay!!? Stay motivated and never let your "specialness" be an obstacle in your life! YOU CAN DO IT! I believe in you!(NOT!!) That's a very good joke (even though you have told it about seventeen times)...I suggest you get a new one.
  18. Well, you know...I aim to please...AND ENTERTAIN! cutiethegreat
  19. Which Westview team isn't going to make it past regionals?...(if they make it that far) This shouldn't be that hard of a question...I forgot, however, that I am directing this to someone who is a little "special".
  20. The only thing that's funny is your face...actually...its not that funny...its rather sad! WesCharge=Elephant Man . The secret is unveiled(LOL)
  21. I know there is a little bias from my side, but ALL BIAS ASIDE, LaToya Bullard is the best ball handler and I have seen all the ones mentioned except for Jessica Graves. After having played in college as well, I must say she is one of the best I have EVER seen...EVER. And that's saying a lot because we are talking about people that I played with who are now in the WNBA, some who are in college now and so on. We call her the "Human Press-breaker" cause she can break presses by herself. I have to agree with you TrojanBob. And the UConn thing is a big possibility now...I wouldn't mind that at all.
  22. LaKendra Phillips Jazmine Taylor Danae Lawrence Kirsten Stallings These are the Sophomores from Ridgeway to whom you are referring.
  23. All of these girls just happen to be from 3A but they are probably the best (truthfully mentioned) players in the state. PG LaToya Bullard, 5-7 Jr. Craigmont SG Sade Buley, 6-0 Sr. South Doyle SF Ashleigh Newman, 5-10 Sr. Shelbyville PF Alex Fuller, 6-3 Sr. Shelbyville C Jessica Jackson, 6-5 Jr. Craigmont Sixth man--Cait McMahan, 5-5 PG So. I know their are a few in AA that I haven't seen or really heard about, so I apologize for leaving them out. But, most of the time if you ask around outside of the state, these are the girls who you'll hear mentioned most. All of these girls are real All-Americans and have proven themselves against big-time competition. They are the best players in the state right now whether people like it or not. I'm not saying that there aren't others who are good or even some undiscovered ones who may be better. I'm just going by what I know and what most national publications, college coaches and top recruiting analysts know. These girls are all BIG TIME and all of them except Ashleigh Newman were or are USA Today All-Americans. Several of them are repeaters on the USA Today list and Newman is Top 20 according to some recruiting analysts. They get more credit outside of the state than they do inside, but that will change this year I think. People should really recognize the state's best players and just be honest about it instead of always being in denial and claiming that their girls are #1 and the best and so on and so forth. There are several girls who I would like to see be top players and go on to be McDonald's All-Americans and play in the National spotlight, but let's just face it, the cream rises to the top and these are our very best. If players haven't already garnered National attention and acclaim then they probably never will, but it doesn't really matter once they graduate and go on to college. That doesn't mean they aren't great players and won't go on to receive great scholarships, it just means they'll have to prove it against the best other players and show why they are better, if and when they get the chance to match up against these girls. Until they do, they are not the state's top players and these are.
  24. Hey Spree...if you doubt the level of competition this time, that's fine. However, I'd be hard pressed to doubt Herring's abilities when I know she has competed and even dominated some of the best Sophomores in the country...even those she played with since she started over several older girls in AAU. On the national level, she has competed and looked very good doing it against girls 2 to 3 years older than her. Also, its not you or me she needs to impress...just the college scouts and I'm sure her mommy and daddy won't be paying a dime for college and she'll have her pick. Nuff said!
  25. Alexis Givands (Kirby), Danielle Richardson (Kirby), LaKendra Phillips (Ridgeway), Cait McMahan (Heritage), Allisha Easely (Briarcrest) and KeKe Stewart (Oak Ridge), Jasmine Taylor (Ridgeway). If none of these girls are listed on a list of best sophomores, then the list is a joke. These girls (and a few others) have made names for themselves NATIONALLY...not just to the local fans who swear that their girls are the best. All of these girls compete in AAU and I know several of them who are definite D-1 picks and are receiving mail from some of the top programs in the country. Also, a few of the girls who played for the Tennessee Lady tigers AAU team (14U) are some of the top players as well...I just don't know their names but one was a blond guard who was about 5'8, 5'9 who could shoot lights out (#5?).
