Hey I didn't say that C.A. recruited I was not accusing you of that but you have to agree if you look at the statistics of the private schools through out the state they USUALLY have a better team in any sport. I don't know what you are talking about Kirk Haston he went to Lobelville Elm. and Perry county High and it had nothing to do with Dave Rhodes. That is his home town and where else did you think he would go. As far as Perry county haveing nothing but basketball players I don't think you know what your talking about but any way I am proud of our other sports because they really have to work for anything they have because they are not basketball. It seems alot of perry county people don't care about other sports if it isn't basketball. Even our local paper won't give any other sport the respect it gives basketball. I am just waiting for the day they will CLOSE school for our baseball team or football team going to the state tournament. Who knows we could go one day and I am curious to see if they close school for it. But hey we are way off the topic here and I would just like to appologize to you about the private school stuff especially C.A. I was just questioning that topic because I do think it is funny that private school for the most part have better teams and I know in football there are kids that attend these schools that I know for sure couldn't afford the tution. So explain that one to me. I didn't say C.A. but another private school, and I know the kid's family. Either way lets just drop the recruit stuff I shouldn't have even brought that one up it should have been another topic. SORRY!!!

This is district 12 A we are talking about and USJ and JCS are not in this district. To change the subject a bit all these teams USJ, JCS, and CA are all private schools and are always good. That leads me to my comment, it just seems funny to me that they say they don't recruit for their team sports but they always have the best teams in any sport, baseball, football, or basketball. Doesn't it seem kind of funny? Just how easy would it be to say "Hey if you come play for our team we will knock off the cost of going to our school or lower it for you." I personally think that private schools should all be in districts of their own in all the sports and maybe we will see just how good they really are going up against players in the same level schools. I am not accusing anyone of doing that because I don't know that they do it, it just seems funny to me how they always have the best team. I guess money can buy alot.

Hey I got some good answers to my question, even though I didn't make it that plain. I was just wanting some comments about the teams and how you thought they played. As for only C.A. and Mt Pleasent being good teams and the rest pitiful, I beg to differ with you some of those other teams are pretty good too. I agree with some of you that if one team is struggeling one day and the other is playing good the better team can get beat and sometimes bad. As a matter of fact I think Perry county gave C.A. a good run for it the last time they played each other. What was that score again 6-5 with it being tied at 0-0 in the 4th inning. That just goes to show what I mean. On the other hand I know Perry co. played a team that wasn't in this district and were favored to win by a big margin but ended up getting beat simply because they had a bad day on the field and at the plate too. Also, one or two players doesn't make a team the best. I would rather have a team of pretty good players all around than a team of only one or two really great players. A team should play as a team.

What do you think about the harder District of 12 A? There are some good teams in it. Wayne, Clifton, Collinwood, Summertown, Mt. Pleasent, Columbia Academy, Perry, Zion, Hamphire, and Santa Fe.

Hey Flamethrower I think it says SUMMER baseball. Besides those boys are pretty good maybe they were having a bad day when you saw them. I think that record for the summer speaks for it's self. Thanks Dino for your message. You can't really compare that School team to that Summer team, partly because they are not the same boys and partly because they aren't the same coaches.

I agree we do have a good outfield, but they are not the only ones that are good on the team. Your also right about not being a close team but I think that goes with all the players not wanting to follow the true leaders. i feel the older boys should be our leaders and those who have played the most. But to be honest anyone who know anything qabout baseball should know that ona a team any team the catcher is like the quarterback in football and that doesn't matter wheather he is a freshman or senior. Most of the boys on that team refuse to follow anyone no matter who it is that tries to lead. Plus we have some real showboats on the team that think they are MR. BASEBALL instead of working together. I am sorry but last I looked thear was no "I" in TEAM.
