  1. About all I can figure about Milan from all of these posts is that the English Department stinks at that high school. Personally, I enjoy the Milan posts. You can almost hear the whole state laughing whenever one of these guys writes something. I will now sit back and look forward to the reply to this post.
  2. If you say something enough times, it comes true!
  3. Like I said earlier, this is funny stuff. Since when does beating USJ deserve respect?
  4. This thread became a TN vs. GA debate earlier when it wasn't supposed to. Here is another point in that debate. Because of the starting dates, GA schools have several weeks of games in them before TN teams play any. Most schools are much better at the end of the season than they were at the beginning. That is one of the disadvantages when comparing the two states. GA schools are in mid- to late-season form when they play TN schools, who are near the beginning of their seasons. It makes a big difference in high school soccer where you have such a short time to build chemistry and develop continuity.
  5. This is one of the funniest threads ever.

    WOW

The rule about being allowed to make one change without sitting out was changed years ago. To be eligible immediately, either (1) the wrong information was turned in to TSSAA, or (2) a hardship request for some reason was allowed by TSSAA
  7. Apparently, this goalkeeper is SO good that his forwards shoot better when he is in. I'll answer a question with a question: Who was the best player on the team last season who did NOT graduate? That's who quit.
  8. --Any player who sat out for CBHS because of grades did so because of a school rule, not the coach. Don't give him credit. --ECS was up 4-1 late. One team may have dominated, but not the team who lost. --CBHS graduated most of their team from last year. Since then, several more players have quit, including their best one. More have tried to quit. This is not a "top 5" team in the nation.
  9. From what I understand, Clarksville graduated a ton from last year's team. Plus, this year's team only has one senior on the roster. I guess this was seen as the best chance to knock them off. That explains some of the frustration.

    top 10

I agree, ....... People get disillusioned because of having a good record vs. weak teams.

I don't think the FIFA code of conduct applies here. This was a high school athletic contest.

26? You don't do that. Being a deep team has nothing to do with that kind of nonsense.
  13. Someone scores 4 goals in a 9-1 win over Tyner? Then 5 goals against Loudon? This is why the "Leading Scorers" list is so misleading. No disrespect to those teams, but their rosters are not exactly filled with many full-time players, regardless of how many students are enrolled at those schools. Who knows, maybe this kid is legit. The schedule isn't his fault.
  14. 6 rankings in three months and the last was January 28th!

  19. Little clarification. Borneman tried to run from Sharp. His plan failed and got pinned or almost pinned or the ref didn't call the pin?
  20. Looks like a Bartlett/Collierville finals. The other contenders would be Germantown and Ridgeway. The others pulling up the rear. Cordova lost their star and Houston looks like they have collapsed.
  21. I saw Franklin, Oak Ridge, Hendersonville, Cordova, Germantown, Houston, Brentwood, Farragut, Baylor, and GPS play at least twice this year. Plus a lot of the "pretenders" (Tullahoma, Ooltewah, Dobyns-Bennett, Science Hill, etc.) across the state. Most of you were in diapers when Cindy Parlow played HS soccer, but I watched her play several times. I've seen the best this state has had. I'm not impressed by players who play well vs. weak teams. Players from so many of these schools mentioned would not even make the varsity at the top programs. Sarah Dennis was the best player in the state this year. Hands down!!! Unfortunately for her, she played for a HS team that was dominated by 9th graders. Houston isn't normally this young, but look out in a year or two. Anyone who saw them play this year knows that this is a team to worry about in two years. Look at their schedule and the results. They played most of the best teams close. It was mostly because of Sarah.
  22. I think a previous post meant Sarah Dennis from Houston. I don't know where she will play in college, but she is the best player around this year. She is playing on a young team this year. She was the best player I saw at the Oak Ridge tournament.
