  1. Come to the 4 way stop in Huntingdon and turn right. This puts you on the "Bypass". Go to the second 4 way stop and turn right (you'll see a sign on the right that says Huntingdon High School). Go to the second street and turn left (just past the vocational school). The school and ballfield will be on your right.
  2. Now children, let's get over it. As far as the refs, they all make mistakes and are terrible from both sides in a close game. As far as the fans, we both have good ones and bad ones. We all know that the best "coaches and quarterbacks" are in the stands. That is why we all scream like a bunch of idiots. What I saw at this game was 2 really good football teams playing their hearts out! For 4 quarters there were awesome blocks, runs, and tackles. And even 5 passes in a Milan/Huntingdon game!!!! Good job and good luck to the Dawgs next year. Good job and good luck next week to the Stangs! Next year will be real interesting in the "Little SEC" region. GO STANGS
  3. Congradulations Stangs! Job well done, offense and defense stepped it up. Good job to the Lions also. Ya'll are a fine team and you have class! Very few times have I heard the losing team coming off the field telling the winners to go all the way and win for them too. Good luck next year.
  4. USJ 11 TCA 2 If USJ keeps their heads together, they are going to be hard to beat.
  5. Time2Play, You are right! Who knows what the best plan is? NOBODY. I am from West Tennessee, Jackson to be exact, my son goes to USJ. We have been to the Clinic, now Blue Cross Blue Shield, Bowl 3 times and lost 3 times(twice to public once to a private school I THINK). Our baseball team however has won the single A title 3 out of the last 4 years. I just hate our kids having to travel all over the state just to play private schools because there are only a few that are close to Jackson. To me, a 100 miles is not very close and that is how far it is to Memphis. However this all comes out, I hope it is for the student/athletes and not for the coaches and administrators or parents.
  6. Time2Play, I did not mean to imply that no public school teacher cared for their students. There are very good teachers at both public AND private schools. There are also "not so good" teachers at both schools. My main point in saying that was that generally private school teachers are paid less than public teachers. I also did not mean that all meals were free. But, on the other hand you failed to say anything about the tuition, transportation, athletic supplies and etc. All I'm saying is I want what is best for the students. If I am willing to pay for my son's education and his school has a good athletic program, that is NOT breaking any rule, then why punish him just because it is a private school. From what I have been reading that is basically all this is about: public vs private.
  7. I have two sons that are either going now or have graduated from a private school. I choose to do so for the better education and better environment and where most of all the parents and teachers care more for the students. I also am a landowner that pays taxes so that you can send your child to the public schools, where there is no tuition, the books are free, the sports clothes are mostly free, the meals are free, the transportation is free, etc. I pay for my child's tuition, books, meals, transportation and everything else. There was an article in a newspaper that stated the private school's grades were consistently higher than the public schools. Instead of making the teachers and students work harder in the public schools they wanted to lower the standards of those schools. I also drive a bus on field trips for the private school. We have to pay for these field trips. You would be amazed at the difference between the disipline and manners between the students of private and public schools! I am tired of some public school people wanting to punish my child at his private school that I WORK and PAY for while you complain when I ALSO pay for your child's education with my taxes. The TSSAA, in my opinion should classify all schools based entirely on number of students. P.S. Our school does not give Athletic Scholarships.
