  1. Who finished in 4 & 5 spots? It looked like Columbia & Shelbyville tied.
  2. Miller was not the losing pitcher Curlee was. Miller was pulled to save his arm for the district tournament. The game was tied 3-3. It was a sloppy game several errors and a terrbile called game by the homeplate ump. He was bad for both sides.
  3. That was last year this year the top 2 teams in the tournament go.
  4. If there is a tie for the district are they considered co-champions and seeded by the tie breakers or is there only 1 district champion period.
  5. You could have ties for every spot except 7. How do the tie breakers work and if there is a tie for 1st are they regular season co-champions?
  6. Tullahoma also has Scott Miller who is 5-0 in the district with a ERA under 1. If he beats Franklin Co. next week he will be the district pitcher of the year. Morris is the ace but is 2-3 in the district. Tullahoma has only scored 1 run in his 3 losses and other than 1 bad inning against Columbia has pitched outstanding also.
  7. Tullahoma 2 Columbia 0 as Scott Miller throws a 1 hit shutout for Tullahoma.
  8. Tullahoma drilled Lincoln Co 13- 0 as Bryan Morris threw a shutout & Tripp Hess hit a 2 run homer. Tullahoma looked ready to play.
  9. It probably should not happen but it happens in about every game in baseball from Little League to high school, college and the pros. In high school or lower if there is no profanity used there is not a ejection but a warning from the umpire. I have never seen a kid ejected for questioning a call in high school baseball unless a helmet was thrown or profanity used. College or pros you can even use profanity and get a warning. I have umpired and this was out of line. It was a ego ump with a agenda and he baited the player. It was pretty disgusting.
  10. Wad these were not boarder line calls. The umpire had a agenda or purpose or point he wanted to make & he made it. The problem was the player did not know he was yelling or pointing about the ball behind him. The ump thought the player would not go get the ball on purpose and it ticked him off. The player reacted by saying that was horrible call which he should not have done. All in all it was a patheic performance by a adult umpire & he should be warned or suspended if the player is.
  11. Not only did the umpire do all those things that Festor said He went one step futher. He tapped the Oakland catcher on the rt. shoulder to move outside futher on the 3rd strike which was a foot off the plate. This was verfied by the Oakland catcher supposedly after the game. When umpires think they are better than the game and their egos show it taints a great game. He baited a player into making a mistake and he did just what the umpire wanted , showed a emotional reaction. The player and the team will get penalized and the Ump laughed all the way home thinking he made a point. The player should have been looking at him. Nice call blue!!!!!
  12. That is a correct score as Tullahoma's Scott Miller pitched a 2 hit 5 inning shut out. Bryan Morris hit a 3 run homer for Tullahoma.

    8-AAA Pitchers

The thing that makes Morris a top pitcher other than just talent is his attitude. He is a great team player and a bull dog on the mound. He will follow Tullahoma pitchers Brazelton, Reider, Spence, Marty, Smith & Griffin who all signed to play college since 1999. Brazelton is in the big show. Griffin and Morris will have a shot as well. They both have the size and talent. By the way Sr. RHP Miller from Tullahoma will probably play somewhere as will Soph. LHP Walker if he keeps working hard. Coach Hargrove does a outstanding job with his pitchers at Tullahoma.
  14. Look for Columbia, Tullahoma & Franklin Co. to be in the top 3. Coffee Co. , Shelbyville, Lincoln Co. & Larwence Co. to fight out the other spots. All 7 teams will be pretty close this year.
  15. I would have to disagree . Maryville was extremely fortunate to beat Hillsboro last year after some great coaching gambles paid off for Maryville in the second half. Hillsboro is a better team this year and if they do not turn the ball over look for them to take the title by 2 TD regardless who they play.
