I picked up an order form after the Clarksville/Bearden state championship game last year but lost it. I'd sure like a copy of that game. It was arguably the best championship game ever with this year following close behind in 2nd place. I know there are several companies that have taped the game over the years because I had bought a copy of the 1994 Houston/Brentwood championship game when I was in high school a few years after that game had been played. I believe it was $45.00 bucks or somewhere around that figure.

I agree about Hendersonville and Clarksville and teams like that. They have a right to complain I guess. Must be frustrating for them because they both were upset and had their seasons ruined and now have been shunned soccerinfo.com. Oh well.

It takes more than out shooting your opponent and more than just talent to win in the post season. Smyrna has beaten two teams in the post season that were better than them (Clarksville and Brentwood) and they did it NOT because of luck or the refs or any other excuses that have been thrown out here. They did it because those two teams werent on top of their games and Smyrna took advantage of it in both cases. This is the post season and teams better bring their "A Games" because there is always a team or two like Smyrna that is waiting to catch you asleep. You can't just show up to these post season games and expect to beat a lesser team just by outshooting them. A team like Smyrna will pack it in on defense and sneak up on you when you are asleep. Brentwood and Claksville had to learn the hard way. From what I have heard so far the same thing was the case for Hendersonville. Luck is not a factor....taking advantage of opportunitys is. Just ask Smyrna.

I heard that it was Clarkville that actually dominated the game and that they played horrible offensively when it came to shots. I was kinda hoping they wouldn't choke in the regionals anymore after getting out last season but I guess that hope is squashed. It's hard to believe CHS lost to a team it already beat and to a team they appeared to be 3 or 4 goals better than when they played good. Man I wish I could have seen the game cause it's hard to believe. The scoop is that Clarksville is the better team but Smyrna is a great team and was there to take advantage of the bad play. That's what good teams do and some people would mistake that for luck. Good job Smyrna!

I remember that 1998 team. They ended CHS's season in the region that year and CHS had outshot them like 25-6 and banged many shots off the posts and possessed the ball roughly 80% of the game but amazingly lost 4-0!!! CHS players were highly frustrated and especially having to watch Hendersonville go on to win state. I was pullin for Farragut in the final though cause my cousin went there.

Hendersonville vs. Clarksville is fun to watch because of their contrasting styles. In the case of a Clarksville win,which has happened before, it just prooves that a team doesn't have to play a possession style of soccer to be a good team.

I'm pulling for Hendersonville if Clarksville doesn't make it far. They could face each other if Clarksville gets by Smyrna and Hendersonville gets by Rossview <~~~LOL. I feel more comfortable about Clarksville's chances shouldnt they face Hendersonville opposed to how I felt years back whenever CHS would play them. Hendersonville used to own CHS no matter how good they were but I think the tide has turned. Never thought it would be like this. CHS doesn't exactly have Hedersonville's number yet but at least that darn jinx was ended in the recent years. Now CHS just needs to get over the Brentwood slump. If CHS or Hendersonville doesnt go far I'll pull for Farragut cause my cousin went there.

A weak schedule is neglibale in this case because Clarksville has experience in the post season. It is the teams that usually arent that good but have an occasional good team that are subject to early losses in the post season simply because they haven't been tested in neither the post season or regular season yet.

Whorundis...I believe that I already pointed out that fact when I said.... "They've creamed some common opponents of Smyrna and Hendersonville but that matters little, if not at all, unless they play that way against Smyrna then Hendersonville." Point is that if they play to their potential then they are VERY capable of getting through Smyrna again then Hendersonville and maybe farther on. Comparing scores can sometimes be bad but it's possible to get away with it if the gaps are constisent through out a season and both teams play well against each other in the end. Otherwise...it doesnt matter much.

Clarksville is fully capable of returning to the state tourney. "IF" they play up to their capability then they'll make it through the region and maybe far beyond. They've creamed some common opponents of Smyrna and Hendersonville but that matters little, if not at all, unless they play that way against Smyrna then Hendersonville.
