  1. Who the heck is Patrick Johnson, I know my buddy Chad Johnson missed the game, but I don't recall a Patrick Johnson on the team. OS wore Kingston out up and down the feild, you could have had T.A. McClendon back there and the running game still wouldn't have gone anywhere. The only reason Kingston stayed in the game was through the air. so I don't think "Patrick" would have had much to do with that game, and he agrees with me.
  2. Hey Tank and Goose I was just wondering how you think we will handle the rest of our schd. We got Seymour who will be really tough, Rockwood will be another tough one, and Sweetwater, but from what I heard Sweetwater didn't impress many people against Harriman. I think Seymour will get us 14-7, We got rockwood by 21-0, and Sweetwater we got 14-0. Tell me what you guys think.
  3. It's hard to disagree with Tank, but neither team has impressed me this year. If John T. can pull his troops together than Wartburg should take this one home 21-7, but if the team falls aparts just like they did in my land, (the land of OZ) than it will be a very long night for the Wartburg Bulldogs. The "once mighty" bulldogs are still as mighty as they every were, you guys are taking for granted this VERY strong O.S. team. I think the running game of Yates should keep this close.
  4. I got a one that just might top all of them...Harrimans field was condemned last week, because they bleachers were not safe. They can't play any more home games, not the mention running to the left side is like running up a hill, there grass has spots of crab grass sticking up everywhere. The worst part about it is they haven't won a game in like 2 1/2 years.
  5. I have seen both these teams play in the past years, but I haven't seen Milan play this year. I was at the OS v. Wartburg game though, and I didn't see very many flaws in this eager Oliver Springs team. They faced a D1 prospect QB, whose YPG average was near 150 rushing a game, and they held him to -46 yards rushing. They shut the # 11 team in the state (Wartburg) out to a 38-0 game. Milan is always a good team with there overpowering offense, and there smashmouth running game, but if you look at O.S. lineman this year, it is a very experienced line with 3 four year staters playing both ways, and the o-line as well as d-lines' average weight is well over 275. The response about the lineman running faster forties than anyone on O.S. team, well you might want to bite you tounge on that one, # 35, Andrew Hayes (T.B.,F.S.) runs about a 4.4 forty. I would love to see the match up, and can't wait to see the playoffs guys.
  6. maybe not in D-II Goal20Tyme
  7. I all three games, and everyone that saw the games knows the Farragut is a better 2nd half team, so Bearden did what any smart team would do, they jumped on them in the first half. Then the rain took Farragut out of the rest of the game. I guess what im trying to say is that the only way to beat Bearden, well I guess the only way is you have to be Farragut, and they didn't reach that mountain last game!

    State

Well the state is chomping at our heels guys. I would like to get some thoughts on who you guys think will when state in every division?
  9. If Crombie is who I think he is, I believe he plays for L.C.

    Farragut

Once again I predict Aaron Doyle-3 McMinn Co. 0
  11. Im not holding anything back from Oneida, I think they have a very good shot at winning the district, but it will be a very bumpy and curvey road. L.C. was, infact, a VERY deep team last year. Anytime you can bring players like Lacy and Monday off the bench is an awesome and truely athletic team. Kingston, however, was not very deep last year and that depth carried into this year. Last year Steven Conrad was the only player coming off the bench that I recall, but im not totally sure. I think Oneida will play tough games next year against L.C. and Kingston. I think that Loudon will give some teams tough times next year. Proving your point from earlier post, Kazam, that this indeed, is arguably the hardest district in the state. Love debating with you Kazam, good to find someone who you have conflict about some posts, but also share many of the same opinions.
  12. ohh ok I got you, not a problem....just confused me a little...sorry about that
  13. Sorry Kazam, im a "have to see it to believe it guy". I thought the Lakers were going to go all the way intill someone beat them, same here....I think Kingston and L.C. will win district intill someone knocks them off, but I think if any team will do it Oneida looks good, especially if those freshman boys up there keep playing hard. They were the ones that stood out to me the most, so that's scary. I hear one thing that might slow you guys down....Scarbrough has a little brother in 8th grade who is supposed to be better than him. I don't know if that's true, but if it is that is scary, and that's another big lift to Kingston.
  14. So when your sweeper comes back you automatically get a game back? I don't get it, you said you went from four loses to three by the end of the season.
  15. what is your name RHSFan, and have you ever played soccer before?
  16. Yes Kazam, L.C. and Kingston are losing alot of quality players, but L.C. and Kingston both have one thing that will help them climb the mountains, senior superstars. L.C. will have Mendina, Lacy, and the district M.V.P., who is arguably, the best play maker in the state of Tennesee Mitch Thomas. Kingston has Mike Day and Drew McMillan, who will most likely get moved back to mid and play alongside Steven Conrad, and move Scarbrough back to sweeper, and move the returning Snow and Meredith to forward, that sounds like a pretty good lineup to me. I am not counting Oneida out, they proved more than alot to me this year showing everyone how exceptionally well coached they are. The thing that I saw that Oneida lacked last year will carry over into this year.....putting the ball into the back of the net. I think Oneida will finish in the top three, but I also think Loudon will have a breakout season from last year. The loses that L.C. and Kingston both had were great loses, but may I remind you of this.....last year Kingston was supposed to be the dominate team not only in district and region, but state as well. Kingston only lost on starter, and he was backup to Micheal Day. It turns out that Kingston didn't have the season that they wanted to have. On the other side, look at L.C., they lost, I think like 8 of the 11 starters. Then this year they only lose one game in the season, and are # 2 in state almost the whole year. It's just nothing is a for sure thing in this game, and as knowledgeable as I am in soccer, even the great MAS is not always right. I think Oneida will come out as a great team again next year. I just dont know if they're good enough to beat Kingston and L.C.
  17. Nathan Halcomb was a good hard player from A.C., did you play with him? Joe Scarbrough from Kingston was VERY under rated, he made huge plays, and no one ever knew who he really was. The MOST under rated player this year in the district I would have to say was prob. Josh Swicegood from Harriman, he didn't get alot of credit cause his team was bad, but he was an awesome keeper for only his 2nd year.
  18. Kingston suffered some great loses in Seamen, Knauth, Wright, Pate, and Mahoney all seniors. That is their offense, so now they'll have to turn elsewhere. McMillan should provide them with some explosion with his powerful shot on both feet. Scarbrough will set the D straight with his "speak softly but carry a big stick" playing style, and with a keeper like Day behind you, you can afford to make some mistakes. Getting Meredith back helps, you can put him at forward and his speed will cause lots of problems. You have to say the team to beat will be the L.C. Panthers. Returning Mendina, Lacy, and the District M.V.P. Mitch Thomas. They are going to be a very strong team in 4 a-aa. I believe that Oneida will be a good team, but I don't think they will be stong enough to compete with L.C., and they might fall to a quick Kingston team next year. I think it will take A.C. a couple of years to rebuild, so don't expect for them to come out fighting this year, but don't expect them to lay over dead either, if theres one thing you can say about A.C. is they always hustle. Watch for Loudon to be pretty good next year also, they have a couple of juniors and sophmores this year, that will be fine players next year. My three predictions for next year is 1st place in district, defending their title are the L.C. panthers. 2nd is the always dangerous Kingston Yellow Jackets. 3rd is a shocker, but im going with the Loudon Redskins. I know my predictions are going to cause conflict, but hey, doesn't everything? So post me back and let me know what you think!
  19. Kevin Mays went to Kingston, and then was an All-American at UT. He was drafted 1st round by the cowboys before tearing almost all the ligaments in his knee, but he signed that insurance policy(the same thing McGahee signed) so he still lives well. It was a shame though.....He would have been a great DT in the pros.
  20. Farragut will when the state, or if Bearden beats them than Bearden will when state. East is the side to beat!
  21. It's fine MRH, I don't see why someone would put down some hard playing seniors last memories. I just saw these boys play in the season and they worked very hard, and fought harder than any team I saw, and to see that posted I wondered why someone would post that, but if it wasn't you that's fine, and good luck to Catholic in the Region, and in state!
  22. 1st Thing....not to be mean penny play, but the style of play Mitch Thomas has is remarkable and can not be duplicated. Along the lines of how the district will shape up next year, well it's looking to be one of the strongest districts in the state again. L.C. is getting Mitch T., James Lacy, and Roberta Mendina back. Oneida is coming up the rear bringing alot of their key players back. Kingston will be in the tops as usually bringing McMillan and Day back, plus getting a little extra help getting Snow and Meredith back, and Scarbrough played tremendous this year, so expect for his play to be big also. Don't expect A.C. to sit quietly, with that coach they got over there i'll say he whips thing in shape before you know it. Expect this district to raise some eyebrows for years to come. We expect great play out of all next season, hope you guys don't dissapoint. Congrats to Mitch Thomas on a great season, and lead your team to victory over CAK Mitch....Good Luck!
  23. So your going to have a one person soccer team? Is Aaron Doyle coming to Rockwood or something?
  24. It should be out by this sat. Mitch Thomas or Tyler Johnson should get the region M.V.P., but that's just my prediction.
