  1. I'm glad someone realizes Tim Taylor is a good football coach. The people in Jasper never gave him a chance. Someone is going to get a find coach who is just starting to hit his stride. Good luck Coach Taylor!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Don't agree Bill ... His (the superintendent) job was to put a quality, trustworthy, educated, qualified committee together to hire a coach. He did that part. The committee's job was to get who they thought was the best possible candidate for the job. They did their part. So, you tell me, where's the breakdown? If there were (are) reasonable and substantiated reasons as to why Meadows should not get the job, this should have been addressed fully BEFORE the committee made their selection. If your only concern is his long-term commitment and stability, maybe that's a risk the William Blount folks are willing to take in order to get a coach with one of the top ten winning percentages in the state. If he hires Meadows, I hope you keep your resumes from those other folks handy. This is what our society has become instant gratification over long term success. Three thing you can count on in life..... 1. taxes 2. death 3. meadows leaving within, I will give him the benefit of the doubt, 3 years from Willie Blount.
  3. abusing his position. BY DOING HIS JOB. HIS JOB IS GETTING THE BEST POSSIBLE CANDIDATE WHO IS GOING TO BE THERE TO BUILD A PROGRAM NOT A TWO YEAR WONDER BOY!!!!!!
  4. I hope the committee stays together and keeps looking. In two years they will be going through the same process. If Coach Meadows didn't stay at Alcoa and Jefferson County more than two years what makes you think he will stay of Willie Blount. Look at the track record. Rhea County = 3 years Oconee County Georgia = no more than 3 years Sequoyah = 2 years Alcoa = 2 years UT Knoxville = less than 48 hours Jefferson County = 2 years Willie Blount = ????? Do you see a pattern developing here
  5. 1/27/04 Sequatchie County High School is currently seeking a Head Football Coach. Applicants must send a resume to Eddie Hobbs at P.O. Box 759, Dunlap, TN, or call (423) 949-2154. I guess Coach Fritts didn't accept the position.
  6. I am like ELA other than some "talks" I don't think they have officially started the process it is very quite at the basketball games it seems folks don't want to talk about it. It was mentioned in the paper when the news broke about Coach Mac not being hired back as a "coach" that they were in no hurry to find a replacement. Some football insiders at Sequatchie have tolded me that Coach Fritts was offered the money and the job two weeks ago yesterday. They tell me it is a done deal if Coach Fritts wants to come back. Now they may be interviewing others to make it look legit but the deal is written in stone if Coach Fritts wants it.
  7. Did Coach Fritts accept the job? Have you heard anything on Marion County? Have they interviewed anyone? Does anyone want the job?
  8. Heard he was offered Saturday afternoon. Money wasn't a problem. Coming back home to be with his kids, who will be a freshman and junior at Sequatchie County HS next year.
  9. CONGRATULATIONS KT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAKE THE MOST OUT OF THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY
  10. Did Coach Fritts accept the offer to come back to Sequatchie County?
  11. They have removed the job posting from the TSSAA web site and I called and asked the principal about it. He said that the coach was still on staff so I guess someone posted that erroneously? If anyone has any more information feel free to update us but let's not talk bad about the new Coach. I understand they had a lot of young players out this past season and it was a tough year for them all! Better days are ahead for this program but it will take time for them to rebuild! I was not trying to bad mouth Claiborne. Just wondering why the job came open when a new coach was just hired. I was thinking he had not been given time to prove what he could do. Good luck to Claiborne in the future.
  12. I believe this is all of them. May have missed one in Alaska or Guam. Feel free to add any that I missed. Hope everyone gets as much enjoyment out of them as I did looking them up. Sorry CoachT for taking up so much room.

  14. He just took the job in June. What is the problem at Claiborne County? Will the community not support the program, coaches? Will the kids not play? Do they need an attitude adjuster that? The key question is: DO THEY WANT TO WIN?
  15. Awful quite down in Jasper. Any news breaking about who the replacement will be?
  16. By the way Bill#49 I have forgot more about football in one week than you will come to realize in a lifetime. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR COACHING I was an all-state selection in high school and all-american in college when I lived in Florida. AGAIN CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR PLAYING ABILITY we will see you along the way. HOPEFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. tallanted athletes and great kids but Weathers does not always go for that. Either you were one of those mentioned above or he didn't hand pick you. Don't cry over spilled milk.
  18. has anyone even applied for this job?
  19. Marion County in Jasper is open. Sequatchie County in Dunlap opened Monday.
  20. http://www.megaclinic.com/ here is one I found today.
  21. Good things happen to those who wait. Be ready is going to be BIG news. Well, it has been the entire holidays and haven't heard anything yet. Must be waiting on your BIG news for after the first of the year.
  22. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOUR KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR WOULD LEAVE. LOOK AT HIS TRACK RECORD. HE NEVER STAYS ANYWHERE MORE THAN THREE YEARS. ALSO, HE NEVER STAYS ONCE THE SENIOR TALENT HAS LEFT. 1) HE WANTS MORE $$$$$$$$$$$$$ 0R 2) THE TALENT LEVEL WILL BE YOUNG NEXT YEAR
  23. Could we possibly do this? It is such a waste to not be talking football this holiday season. I've paid my $12.00 and it didn't break the piggy-bank at least my little boy didn't find out about it yet. Some people will simply not pay the money. I find that it has been very worthwill to be a plus member though. But it is not as much fun without everyone talking on the board. Just a thought.
  24. What do you mean April 15th ELA?
  25. Good things happen to those who wait. Be ready is going to be BIG news. I love surprises. As long as they are not BIG, BAD surprises.
