  1. how did they score so fast? Passing or running the ball?
  2. HANG IN THERE JIM. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WILL BE IN MY PRAYERS TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!! I WILL TALK TO YOU LATER. This is what the Knoxville paper had in it last Saturday. http://www.knoxnews.net/kns/prep_football/...2256210,00.html Article in today's Knoxville paper. Sounds to me that Mr. Duncan is doing a little backstabbing behind the scenes on this one. Anyone interested in this position better BEWARE OF THE FORMER POWELL HEAD COACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.knoxnews.com/kns/prep_football/...2265234,00.html
  3. two years ago Boyd got on here and had to run their mouths about how bad it was going to be. You know what happened then. GOOD LUCK TIGERS BEAT THEM AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. nobody from Sequatchie wants to talk about the game last week? All that talk before the game must have gotten you all tired.
  5. being civilized people. Thank goodness we have to play the game and not rely on predictions made on CoachT. Both teams played hard tonight. Good luck to Sequatchie County the rest of the season. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MARION COUNTY WARRIORS FOR NOT BELIEVING PREDICTIONS MADE ON COACHT AND THE CHATTANOOGA FREE-PRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I thought both teams played exceptionally hard in different halves. Sequatchie County in the first and Marion in the second. The game should've ( there is that other word Indian ) been over at halftime but someone forgot to tell the young men from Marion County. Coach Taylor made some excellent adjustments at half time and it payed off. The boys believed they could win and when preparation met opportunity tonight success followed. The young men from Marion County could have "folded the tent" at halftime, but to their credit they fought with every thing they had in the second half and came away winners. Indian mentioned the questionable call with 4 minutes to go in the game. Our film shows he sidearmed the ball to number 20. Ball hit the ground instead of 20 catching it, incomplete pass. Indian failed to mention the so-called questionable double interference call just a few minutes before the one he wanted to talk about in his post. The calls evened out so why bother talking about it. CONGRATULATION TO THE MARION COUNTY WARRIORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I finally get to agree with Sequatchie about something.
  8. Coach Colquette had a lot of things going for him. But probably the greatest was and he still has it today is a charisma or aura about him. Kids wanted to play there best for him and they usually did. He took kids with very little ability and made them think they were the greatest player since Gale Sayers. It takes a special coach and person to do that. He made his coaches feel the same way. You wanted to prove to him that you could do the job. Not many people out there that has that type of ability. He always will be a special person and a dear friend. I hope Coach gets what he deserves and they name the field after him at Grundy County like they should at Marion County. A very small token of appreciation for a man that has done so much for all of us.
  9. Sequatchie County looked really good at the jamboree. Could be a long night in Jasper for the home team. No big dogs in Jasper this year. Just small pups who talk more than they play. The Indians should have no problem. I say at least 28-7.
  10. won't even be close!!!!!!!!!!! South Pittsburg is hands down the best team in the valley this year.
  11. I heard Cook was going to play even with an ACL (torn knee ligaments) and DeeOne has the bad shoulder. Sequoyah don't be fooled it will be a tough game. A lot tougher than you have played so far this season. Watch # 11 he is there go to guy now. # 7 is very small but it a tough runner. You have to lay the wood to him. # 71 is probably the best lineman and KT # 44 is tough as they come. Better bring all your weapons and your A game to the mountain. They are very well coached and they don't beat themselves. Good luck and play 48 minutes of whoop @$$ football.
  12. Grundy is ready to be taken. You heard it hear first. Don't listen to the garbage about Grundy being to good. Watch the film. The heart and soul of the team will not be with them when you come to the mountain.
  13. and I thought we had a bad night. Thank God I'm not coaching at this zoo.
  14. I believe Sweetwater is in for a long bus ride back to Monroe County Friday night. After seeing South Pittsburg Friday night at the jamboree I have to say this is the best Pirate team since they won the state championship a few years back. They have speed, speed and let me say it one more time for the record SPEED!!!!!!!! Sweetwater has been known to have a little their own but I doubt if they are ready for what they will see Friday. South Pittsburg is a very talented team with 20 seniors. They played their 1st team against Sequatchie County and beat them easily. QB is absolutely terrific and the backs are bigger and stronger this year. Their backs will light your defensive end up in a hurry. If that taliback hits the C gap you will be in for a long night. Power I right 46 and Power I left 47 is the play baby. Get ready because they will run it about it 35 times every football Friday night. They threw the ball a lot more Friday night at the jamboree then they are accustom to doing. This one might get really ugly in a hurry.
  15. what type of defense is Lenoir City running?
  16. Where did Labe Gregory coach at in the late 60's and early 70's
  17. Is Lenoir City running the split back veer this year?
  18. DONOVAN STEWART _ THE REVIEW APPEAL STEPHEN HARGIS - CHATTANOOGA FREE-PRESS
  19. Before the present Chattanooga Central was built they had some awesome teams. Maybe some of the older folks in the Chattanooga area can help us out about years and records. I believe in the 1950's and 1960's there records would rival anyone in the state of Tennessee including those mentioned earlier.
  20. Whitwell will be a very tough game for anyone on the schedule this year. Griffith boy at QB runs the offense well. Doesn't try to do to much. The FB (Pellam I think) is just as tough as the Austin boy a couple of years ago. Another Austin is at wing and is a terrific blocker. On the O-Line you have to start with the Tidwell boy, all 6-5 280 pounds of him. Has great feet for his size. Word is several big schools have been calling the Whitwell fieldhouse about this young man. Coach Green has done a tremendous job molding these boys into a good team. Time will tell if they are just good or could be one of the best Whitwell has ever had.
  21. Tyner Sequatchie County Meigs County Tellico Plains Marion County Polk County Bledsoe County
  22. What are the circumstances behind this? Was it arson or something electrical?
  23. Whitwell Tigers will be tough to handle this year. 6-5 280 senior tackle (Tidwell) is a good place to start. Jeremie Griffith (QB), Peardon (FB), and another Austin (Stephen) (wing) are all seniors and are hungry for another chance in the playoffs. They have a total of 14 seniors that have played all 4 years. Better not take this team lightly or it will be embarassing, ASK THE SENIORS FROM BOYD-BUCHANAN TWO YEARS AGO!!
  24. Bolden from Tyner is the best I have seen in years. Kid (I forget his name) from Grundy County could be just as good but he is to mild mannered and doesn't play with the intensity every down to get seriously recruited by the big D-1 schools. Probably will get a lot of recruiting letters and take a lot of visits but just doesn't have the mean streak they are looking for.
