  1. I may try to catch this game. Don't know much about either team but expect Fulton to have another good team. Went to watch the Falcons beat up on Farragut last year.Nice stadium at Fulton and nice game atmosphere but the PA guy was absolutely horrible. It that the best they can do? Sounds like he is a bit light in the loafers. Fulton should win big. May catch them again when they come to West Knox to play Farragut
  2. Sounds to me like Rankin is running scared. They don't play a very tough schedule anyway with the exception of Maryville. He don't need to be whinning about about not having anybody to play when he has a team 15 minutes away with the same open date. Somebody over at Alcoa needs to talk some sense into him.
  3. Coach has to be a member of TACA for player to be able to play in game I was told. TACA sponsors the game
  4. Wow never heard of a coach dumb enough to get ejected in a hall of fame game. How did Farragut look?
  5. Heard there were some fireworks at the game. Did anybody go? What happened?
  6. The Irish coach I was referring to was Scott11
  7. Not close to the Fulton program so I don't know where those guys live. I was simply stating that Fulton has been good for a pretty long time and I don't recall a bunch of D-1 guys coming out of that school. There is not a bunch out of Knoxville period when you think back over a period of time. Maryville won it a couple of years ago without a single D-1 guy. I think some of the good programs in this area do it because of pretty good coaching. I think the previous poster was trying to say that Fulton has been pretty successful for a long time with average to above average players. Like I said the programs here in West Knoxville and in Oak Ridge have more talent year in and out and not nearly the success.
  8. I dont know much about it, but 3 division 1 players in twenty plus years is not what I would call overrun with talent. I would say Farragut, Bearden, and Oak Ridge have more talent year in and year out. Sometimes it is simply getting the most out of what talent you have. I thought that was what good coaches did anyway. Don't get anybody started talking about handpicking talent when you coach at Catholic. We ALL know what goes on out there with the football program. Fulton does have a good program along with many others here in the East Tennessee area. Don't let your jealousy cloud your Irish eyes
  9. Tri county linebacker of the year.... never heard of it. No such award unless it was voted on by his parents!
  10. NOT TRUE just talked to a buddy of mine who is new teacher at Fulton, he talked directly to coach. He will be a t Fulton for his senior year
  11. I don't know Coatney or Wright personally, but I don't know why two successful coaches would risk it for one player. I do have a close friend who has talked to Styles Sr. He said it had nothing to do with Fulton. Matter of fact, they had talked to other schools as well. This was all about Styles and Central. Sounds like you are a little upset with all the defeats you suffer and the success of others. I guess now you are going to say Tommy Pharr is a big recruiter... hey and throw in Blevins too,he is always getiing those great players.
  12. You've got to be joking! What a head case
  13. Never heard of him... guess he wasn't that good. Sounds like somebody from catholic is a little jealous of the success on broadway.
