Hi Nomar5, How many seniors you guys got this year. Tuesday should be a good game. DeKalb beat Cannon last Thursday 16 to 0. Catcher Tyler Patterson hit a 2 run homer. 1st Baseman Destin Farr hit a Grand Slam. Heard you guys played livingston very tough. Good luck.

The kid did a great job last year. Just kiddin around. DeKalb did Play Monterey today DeKalb won 3 to 1. Monterey Played a good game. The pitcher # 12 did a good job. Only gave up 1 earned run.

Dingerbat do you play for York ? Last year we had some good games.I think Cannon beat us both times. I don't think that had happened in a while. We could have used a little more pitching last year. I enjoy going to play at Livingston, they have such a nice ballpark. Last year when Upperman came down to play at DeKalb they looked like they were all 25 or 26 years old. Our guys mostly 9th and 10th Graders looked really young in that game. How about Smith Co. Anybody know how Cris Huddleston is doing. Good luck to you guys

The game was tied after the first 16 all.DeKalb begain to pull away in the second. both teams had a low scoring Third, and Station Camp just didn't have the steam to catch up in the Fourth. SC Hit a lot of threes to stay close. They did a good job outside.I think Dekalb had the inside covered last night. Matt Stribling 14 Points Destin Farr 18 Point 10 Rebounds Lance Dillard ( Wing ) 21 Points. By next year Station Camp well be really hard to handle I believe.

Yea Dingerbat, I'm from DeKalb. This year we will only have Two or Three Seniors. Lee Colwell OF. Lee is very fast and well be asked to bunt alot this year. Destin Farr 1st. Base, Destin is our best hitter, lots of power to all fields, also Good team player. If we have any problem this year it will be playing as a team. Some of our younger guys are just trying to run up numbers. Maybe they will pull it togather. I know that Upperman lost Matt West, very good pitcher. The rest of the teams i don't know alot about. I have watched our district for four years now, I think that all the teams last year were not as good as the years before except maybe York. Have fun at the ball game

Well you lost Rick Richardson this year. He pitched both games against DeKalb. Did a great job. I heard he was going to TTU. Is that true. This year you will have that guy that hit a home run about every time he came to bat. I don't remember his name, I think he was a fresmam last year. Good luck to you guys this season.

Mudcat you sound like you might be Taylor or Brandon. I hope you can get over this Destin envy and play as a team this year.

Mudcat you must be refering to Brandon Cox and David Taylor. Both played in the world Series last summer. David a Great pitcher, but if you start to hit him he gets very raddled. Brandon is very good at short stop but he is a little small for a Junior. Also Iv'e seen Destin play 3 or 4 times, I think he can handle the inside fast stuff real well. He needs to work on the low and away.

I think 7AA HAS A POINT . I've seen refs miss some very easy calls. As a team sometimes you have to see how a ref is feeling that night. He might let your team play very phiscal or he might call the smallest foul. The biggist problem i have with them is i like to carry on with the ref, not get bad but just have fun. I think some ref get to upset with the crowd, after all its just a game.

I beleive Destin could have a very big year. He plays 1st base for DeKalb Co. During the Summer he was batting .545 with 4 HRs in four games when he broke his finger. He is very quick for his size 6'5" 110 lbs.

If DeKalb can stay out of foul trouble it will be a close game.

We will see how many weapons DeKalb has Tuesday Night against Upperman !!!! If the game can be played without a lot of fouls it well be a good game. If DeKalb gets into foul trouble, Watch out score board, it may not be able to put the Upperman score on it.

Both teams played poor ball Friday night. DeKalb was called for 28 fouls Cannon 9 Cannon shot 14 foul shots to DeKalb 0 in the firsr half. I would not be concerned with either team in the district if they continue to play like they did Friday night.

I agree that York will still be hard to beat. How long is Tate out for.

DeKalb played inSparta at the White Co. play Days. Lawrence Co. Beat DeKalb by 15 or so. DeKalb beat Gibson 60 to 29. Gibson had a bad night. DeKalb Played there best game to date. Lance Dillard hit for 23 points, Justin Zoller post had 12 DeKalb plays Westmoreland At DeKalb Tuesday.

I saw White Co. play Friday Night also. Cannon Co. beat them by 6 or 8 points. It was a good game. I was told that Sparta was in a rebuilding year. I hope they continue to inprove. I also watched DeKalb play Gibson. Gibson had a bad night, could not hit the 3s and had no luck all night. DeKalb had there highest scoring night so far. I think the score was 60 to 29. Lance Dillard Junior Guard was high point man with 23. Justin Sollar Post had 12. DeKalb also played without post Destin Farr, Brused right hand. Junior point guard Matt Holmes Had a good night,very few turnovers. DeKalb plays Westmoreland at DeKalb Tuesday

Coffee Co. had two guys that hit the threes very well. The whole team seemed to be between 6 ft. and 6' 4' For DeKalb, I don't know if you can replace Mahan. He had the most hussle of any player i've seen. The team does have six seniors this year. Coach bond will most likely start three of them, Justin soller 6' 2' Lee colwell Point and Destin Farr 6'4 1/2 " Post. Destin scored 10 or 12 points against Coffee Co. He is looking very good. DeKalb plays in White Co. Friday. I bevieve thay will play two games. One is with Gibson Co. Don't know who the other one will be with.

DESTIN FARR 6' 4" SR. DeKALB Co. High

This is a very competative district. Every year the teams in 7AA play some of the very best basketball games in the state. I believe that York will have to be stopped this year. the District is there's to lose. With Tate and Lefew they will be hard to stop. Upperman has such a history of winning that they will not go away without a hard fight. Smith and Cannon will be returning several good seniors this year. Jackson county, Last year they were not expected to be in the hunt losing there big men, but again they will aways be hard to beat. At home they will be tought this year. DeKalb and Livingston will return a lot of good players. Eather of these could be a surprize. DeKalb has been working very hard, Coach Bond will not want a repeat of the 4 and 19 season they had last year. The key for DeKalb will be can the shooting guards step up this year. Lee Colwell a senior will most likely be point guard this year. Two Juniors, Matt Holmes and Lance Dillard will cary the load in three point land. Last year they had some good games and some bad. Under the board Destin Farr will get the call again. Being 6' 4" he could stand to be a little taller, But his 210 lbs frame is hard to move out of te way. Also this year shooting from 10' and out will be Matt Stribling, Justin Zollor and Bobby Johnson. Matt is a fighter under the boards Justin and Bobby both have really good jump shoots.
