  1. Personally, I think Loretto will win this game by around 40 poijts, what are your thoughts?
  2. You Lewis County fans take the cake! You are talking about Waverly not playing anybody..HA HA Your wins are over: Moore County 1-4 Mt. Pleasant 0-5 Harpeth 1-4 Lawrenceburg 0-5 Take the ugly win over Fairview out of the equation and Lewis County has beaten four real powerhouses huh? Yeah with a combined record of 2 wins and 18 losses! Can you people in Lewis County please wake up and get real. You struggle against Lawrence County, an 0-5 team that Loretto manhandled, and start predicting that you are gonna beat Waverly by 25-35 points... that is just laughable. No wonder your team is down, the players probably get on here and read your crazy predictions... what a joke! And if you need more evidence of your brush with fantasy, check out the Coach T link that rates teams strength of schedule. Out of 49 Class AA teams, Lewis County is rated 47th in the entire state in tough schedules, meaning they have the third easiest schedule in all of Class AA. http://www.coacht.com/rankings/sos.cfm?SportID=1
  3. Well here is the one we have been waiting on! Waverly was shocked by Montgomery Central in a fluke loss and from what Iwas told, the guys were overlooking MC for their game with LC. Lewis barely beat an 0-5 Lawrence County team that threw for 300 yards. The facts are: Waverly is ready and this game means a huge loss for LC and their region hopes. With Jessie Hayes running wild or with Waverly throwing the ball at will aginst the worst pass defense in high school football (Ask Fairview if I am wrong?) this one is gonna be a shocker. Waverly 20 Lewis County 3 PS: I dread playing Loretto. They look like the real deal although I think Waverly can shot them down with our vaunted defense. Loretto will throw for 500 yards aginst Lewis County!
  4. From the man who predicted the current success of Waverly (4-0) to the collapse of Harpeth (1-3) to the Riverside victory over Lewis County, here is an unbiased prediction. Lawrence County will move the ball up and down the field and throw for over 400 yards! Lewis County will rush for less than 200... simply put, they could not run against Lawrence County last year and will fail to do so again this year. Lewis will have to turn to the passign game and it won't be enough! Lawrence County 37 Lewis County 35 Book it, I haven't been wrong yet with my predictions from region 5-AA!
  5. Being a region 5-AA fan, I read all the posts concerning the teams in our area and it amazes me at the immaturity of these people from Lewis County. Here are some excerpts from their posts: Checkerboard (8-19-02) "Lewis County fans get selective amnesia when it comes to their football team and its players. Don't misinterpret this post. I am a Lewis County Football fan. It's just that every year I get to hear the same thing..."This is THE year"...only to see the team get rocked by a speedy West Tennessee team in the second or third round of the playoffs." ================== Checkerboard (8-21-02) "Do you hope or expect Lewis County to win the State? Be honest. Does your throat tighten up when you hear the words "Martin" and "Westview" used together in the same sentence? Do you wish West Tennessee was a different state, like West Virginia? Do you wish they would expand the classifications to 1A through 10A? .......Until the Panthers win the Big One, I'll continue to be a doubter." ================== Counterboot (8-29-02) "Ellis got lucky against MC. He is a great guy, but not that tough a runner." (Referring to Lewis County fullback Ellis Dailey) ================= Donhaney (9-7-02) (Re: Harpeth game) "Lewis County has FOUR scores called back by the officiating crew who were brutal on the Panthers!" ================= Hillbilly85 (9-7-02) "If it had not been for the officials Harpeth would have been beat ALOT worse. It was rediculous!I seem to remember the same scenario last season. So I guess our boys played Harpeth and their refs , and won!!!" ================ Checkerboard (9-7-02) " Lewis County looks good and Harpeth looks average. The refs kept this one closer than it should have been." =============== LCHS 2003 (9-5-02) "I am tired of seeing all this junk about my old teammates on here. Lewis County will beat Harpeth Friday, even if it is without their top reciever who was kicked off the team." (Apparently this guy?) =============== LCHS Chick (9-13-02) (After the LOSS!) "And like many others I'm waiting for the "excuses" to roll in!! How about it Panther26?? Aren't you the one that predicted LC to win easily?? Maybe you should concentrate on handing out water and not predicting scores. ...... they have been extremly cocky at school. Maybe they will learn and maybe not." Memorial Park (9-13-02) "i watch this game and tha refs must be smokin the rock because they made 1/2 a dozen bad calls" LB Blitz (9-16-02) "Thats a question the COACH has to answer!" Snakes (9-16-02) "If you put Sharp at Tailback he'd rush for over 1,000 yards. Why don't the coaches do it, who knows?" These are excerpts from irate Panther fan posts from the past two days! I warned you, they cry, cry, cry when they lose one! "David Sharp, while built like a Russian crap-house and fast as a Russian race-horse, has done nothing....." "why are the coaches holding him back if he is indeed such a weapon. " "and maybe this time we wont have to play the refs as well!?!?!" "your a disgrace to your team and county!" "Can't 2nd string QB Erin Hinson be used to hand the ball off?" "the Panthers fan understand why their "superstar" is being held back" "Why does David Sharp not play on the Defensive side of the ball?" You are welcome to go back and check any of these posts. I stand by my thought that you Lewis County people are spoiled to tbe bitter core! Maybe after another loss or two, we can hire a few of your coaches as assistants up here in Waverly?
  6. When it comes to complaining, nobody, and I mean nobody can hold a light to them. Whether it's the refs or the coaches or the players, no one is safe from the wrath of their venom. Lewis County fans are juvenile, immature and spoiled to the core. Just go back and read all the LC posts and you can see that I am not exagerrating. Their former players harangue the current crop to no ends, making sure they realize that they will never be as good as they were and it goes on and on and never stops. The loss to Riverside has caused the fans to sharpen their claws in Hohenwald Tennessee and woe to the entire team when they lose to Fairview.
  7. The only thing their fans can ever agree on is: 1. Every time they lose, they were cheated! The referees always conspire to beat poor Lewis County. Matter of fact, the only reason they even come to the games is not to officiate but to try their best to shaft the mighty Panthers. 2. Any single Lewis COunty fan is smarter than any of their coaches. Their coaches are there for one purpose, targets for the cheating referee's flags! They should run all the coaches off and bring in some Pee Wee legend to run the show. 3. And they always agree that whoever played in the past is better than who is playing now... HA HA If you think I am being sarcastic, go back and read their threads. Lewis County has to have the most jealous fan base in Tennessee. No wonder they never get past the first or second round of the playoffs, their team is always having to dodge stones thrown by their "fans." Well here's one for you... I bet that Lewis County goes 2 and 3 in the region this year, losing to Fairview, Waverly and Loretto and beating Richland and Harpeth. After this happens, read what their "fans" have to say 3.
  8. I think Sharp is #18? As for the Louis County fans needing excuses, if they lose this one, they'll be ready to lynch the players and coaches all.. HA HA You should read some of the other threads where they are getting all over their coaches for losing to Parsons Riverside. They have to be the most spoiled fans in the country and it's now wonder nobody likes them or their program.
  9. You people in Lewis County are a riot! You lose one game and it's time to commit harry carry. If I were the coaches in your town, I would be getting the heck out of dodge. And to the Chick.. you are truly trying to be positive with comments like, "trying to make the team better and hopefully help all the Panthers fan understand why their "superstar" is being held back(or so it seems)." No wonder this entire site finds the Lewis County fans despicable! After you lose to Waverly, contact me and I can give your coaches the address to a good moving van! Or maybe they'll need it after this week when Fairview jacks the mighty Panthers. One things for sure, after your team loses a game, it's always a blast to come on here and listen to their "fans" HA HA
  10. Sorry Jean old chap, Waverly is doing just fine without you. Maybe you can get Fairview to keep you in some capacity
  11. I read on another thread where the Lewis QB Sharp had broken his leg? Is this true?
  12. I just saw your Big Ones score..HA HA HA You have got 13 right and 27 wrong! I am sure there is a reasonable exlaination for this?
  13. First off, let me say that this game lacks the importance that it once held. Lewis County is vastly overrated as usual with their wins coming against small single A teams that were both carrying 25-30 guys on their whole team while Lewis County has about 95. Harpeth is not as badly overrated as Lewis County but still not what they were during the "Tant" years. Too me, the key game in this region on Friday night is Loretto and Fairview. I honestly think that one of those teams will wind up region champion. Also, I have extolled the virtues of Waverly for many weeks and nobody seemed to take me seriously but they are vastly improved this season, witness their shutout win over Camden. Jessie Hayes is the real deal at running back and while everyone seems to talk about Gann, Dailey and Cothran, this boy may be the best in the region. Predictions for this week: Harpeth 23 Lewis County 21 Loretto 27 Fairview 26 Waverly 28 Richland0
  14. Did you base your predictions in the Big Ones contest on your polling skill? 10 right and 9 wrong! Let somebdoy do a poll that has some form of intelligence!

    Harpeth/Cheatam

Harpeth should easily defeat Cheatham County in this game. Not wanting to sound as egomaniacal as Spotsfan but Harpeth has a great deal of skill people back and from all indications, they will be right back at the top of the region once again.
  16. There are many 2a schools capable of playing with the bigger schools and there a few 1a schools that could as well. Pretty narrow post I think.
  17. I was talking to a guy down at Zingarellis today and he tells me that the Tigers were overlooking Creekwood because they had Lewis County on their minds. It's not setting to well with the boys from Maury County, them knowing that LC has three guys from Mt Pleasant on their team!!
  18. You're a real card pal. But to set the record straight, I am convinced that both Harpeth and Lewis County and Fairview, for that matter, will fall victim to both Loretto and Waverly this season. The one thing that is true is that the region has bastly improved but it is not your teams that are improving but the ones I just mentioned.
  19. When I tell you that LC will be third, at best in this region.
  20. Loretto always has good talent, their inherrent problem is always a lack of discipline. They have several good skill people back this year but as Ezell must know after last season (and I believe that was why the score was ran up) they are notorious for rough play, ie cheap shotting. If their staff could ever get them out of the dark ages of discipline, they could be very successful.
  21. Surely with this attitude, you don't really attend Ezell Harding, or are one of their more ardent fans?
