I posted on the game thread but I'm sure it was passed over... RESPECT EARNED...great job by that QB and the rest of those players. A great job against my PIRATES. I thought the no-call in the endzone was horrible but as I told all our folks, and most agreed I doubt we stop the MVP because we hadn't all day. WC is without question one of the best coached and disciplined teams I've seen. Congrats on winning the $1000 text msg deal also. Again, great job and congrats on your 1st 1A State Championship.

We don't doubt WC as much as we have faith in what we've seen all year. Can't speak for the coaches but as fans, you're going to have those that predict blow-outs every game and those that swear we're going to lose every game. They love messages boards because that is the only way most of them will even talk football...from behind a key board. This SP bunch gets zero love in the local area till they have no one else to pull for. These kids have played together all there lives, these aren't just games to them. IT's personal. The year we lost, it ate at each and every one of them till they got back up there and got revenge. SP isn't going to have the big head, we're not going to over look WC, nor act like when we walk out on the field WC will just fold up shop and go home. We know what it takes to win the GOLD BALL. We know what it takes to win a tough game because we have done it. WC has had a great year, those kids are ready to play I'm sure. They will come to Cookeville with every intention of taking home that GOLD BALL but rest assured, SP will come ready to defend it and bring it back HOME. Expect a great game and I expect us to bring hom #6, not overlooking WC I just know what we're bringing to the table and know if we play our game, I like our odds.

They better bring it...cause you know we will. I have no idea why anyone would think we'd take this game for granted. GOLD BALL on the line, last game for the Sr's, going back-to-back (something we've never done)...too much on the line for that to happen.

Agree with the start of that and hate to disappoint but no...you haven't.

I have all the faith in Vic and the rest of the staff to have our boys ready and if our boys play our game, I'm pretty confident but things happen. Nothing against WC or any team in the West, this bunch is tight and very few things rattle them. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

LOL...awwwww, don't be that way. No, I like most all boy in SP played from Pee Wee to HS. Was on the 86 runner-up squad that lost in OT to Spring Hill. No, Danny Ray is the DC, former Asst during my years and came back and won it all as a HC in 1994. HOOOOOOOO is COACH HALE. My cousin is the ONE TIME guy...that's former PIRATE GREAT David Wyatt.

I'll try and have my singing voice ready for when we crank up 'BAD COMPANY' for warm ups and 'WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS' when it's all said and done.

LOL...I'm never hard to find. But he is a good football player but that is all my boys said they heard leading up to the game (I live out of town) so we enjoyed watching DJ and then Coltin on the other side play like they did. DJ got a bit lazy in the 3rd and Danny Ray had a little talk with him and that was all he needed.

Well, that is correct...great point but I'm glad our kids finally started winning it.

Saying that we have to see it to believe it and that to get respect, you must earn it isn't to say you can't. All we've heard from your bunch is that "We heard all this from the HC crowd...", "This bunch is worse than the HC fan base and we all know how that turned out." Got news for you...we ain't HC. We're South Pittsburg, we've been doing this since they started having these Championships. That team on the field in the ORANGE & BLACK ain't HC...they are the defending State Champions. Your team ain't playing the folks on this board, they are playing a team of kids that have played together in a program since they were 5 and have a unbelievable Win/Loss record. You as fans have come on here and acted as if because you beat HC, that means we should be impressed. Congrats...but unlike you and the rest of your fan base, we have heard all this before from the other side of TN. Jo Byrns was unbeaten last year, had speed, big ballers all over the place and what happened? Coltin, Hale, and company came out and on the first play knocked one of them 'BIG BALLERS' silly, so much so he was taken out of the game and we ran thru them like a hot knife thur butter. Now, will this year be different? Maybe, maybe not but fact is this our boys are hungry or they wouldn't be there again, considering what they've faced. They want this title and they want it bad. I'm sure the same goes for the WC bunch, those kids have went out and beat everyone put infront of them and are in the BIG GAME with a chance to be immortal. Props to them and your town...we know as well as anyone, how much things like this mean. So, no more BS...you want to think we're not as good as HC because you've watched some film (BTW, where? Youtube?) or because we have 2 losses...etc, fine. I promise you this, your HC don't think, he knows we're good and on Friday, you'll find out just how good. Good luck to WC and to the fans of WC.
