Y does jace have to sit out in regions? i thought it was only a one game suspension, and he sat that out against creekwood.

As a former player for sycamore, i would like to say congrats on bringin home the first district championship. Sounded like a typical sycamore/creekwood game, which always comes down to the very end. who pitched for sycamore? cuz i know they were goin to go with jase but he was ejected from the game before and couldnt play

I say they pitch carrigan against creekwood, he is pretty much up there with kyle and jace in pitching, he hasnt had many opportunities cuz he has to catch due to the injury to freshman zack gentry. Trust me he can bring it just as good as them two. It should be a interesting game between creekwood and sycamore like always. Does Sycamore wrap up the district with a win tom?

Its the first time sycamore has ever beaten harpeth period. Sycamore beats creekwood in overtime by two.

I agree, that both these teams dont have the same skill level as they did the past few years. Both teams look so much different than before, especially harpeth. Im use to seeing harpeth's starting five avg. height at like 6'3, 6'4, and they all could play ball. Harpeth being so young does hurt, but down the road it will help them cuz of playing experience. What grade is #42? i think that is his number. he has a nice shot and knocked down a few 3's in the ball game. i also agree bout the refs. i think their was a lot of charges called that should have been blocking fouls or most of the time no calls. But i do think that both these teams will get better as the season goes along cuz they both have some players that are playing a lot of min. in varsity and will have to adapt to the speed and emotion of the game. Is trey and kendrick the only seniors for harpeth? I know travis, shane, and hoard are the only ones for sycamore.

Sycamore beat harpeth tonight by 1. i think the final was 46-45. A very sloppy game with both teams making to many mistakes. The unsung hero tonight was Hoard, who hit the go ahead basket with 3 secs left, and then after a couple of time outs, he stole the ball to seal the victory. Both teams match up well against each other, the downfall for both is lack of bench play, but i think sycamore's bench is a little better than harpeths. I dont know if ne thing is wrong with horkins but he doesnt look to score when he should. trey cant do it by himself cuz he is goin to have off nights. trey had a decent game tonight but not one of his best. It should interesting the next time these two teams play again down the road.

Sycamore pitched, i would say their 4 or 5 guy, Jase. He could be a number 1 but has command problems, but he can bring it. With him pitching it put sycamore in a good spot with their 1,2, and 3 ready to roll. I can see sycamore rolling through the tourney, especially with the upset of creekwood.

Any predictions for the district tourney?

It should be an interesting first round match up between waverly and stewart, with their two aces facing each other. personally i would like to see stewart make the upset. lol!

I dont think cheatham could even beat sycamore's middle school team. i wouldnt even mention an upset with them against sycamore. is the rain suppose to hold off tom.?

i just heard sycamore won district tonight by beating waverly 12-1. I dont know ne details so if ne body was at the game please enlightened.

i would have to say purcell has to be one of the, if not top freshman pitchers in the state. he impressed me big time, just not with his pitching, but his head was in the game the whole time and didnt let up once. hopefully sycamore pulls it out tonight. they have their ace on the mound tonight which is bj, but if he struggles then their number 2 kyle can come in. i see sycamore pullin it out tonight, cuz i see bj shutin them out.

sycamore wins easily again in 5 innings. 11-1 against mont. central. bj pitched well for his first start back from injury. sycamore hit the ball hard the first inning, then didnt much for a couple of innings and then picked it back up at the end. sycamore has houston co. tom. at 6.

Sycamore beat Stewart today in 5 innings 12-2.

yea not to mention they are undefeated in district play with him not even throwing in any district games.

bj is going to the doctor today to be released. he has been throwing some and feels no pain at all. this is great timing to come back, but it also helped out sycamore cuz it shows they can win without him pitching.

you got fairview up that high? i saw them last night, and i must say they were pretty bad. its goin to be a awesome series between sycamore/waverly next week. but i got sycamore pullin it out.

Maybe thats y creekwood was upset cuz they didnt have the angle to see the bobble. i was sitting on the other side of the plate and saw a great view. the ball wasnt caught and was in the dirt when the guy scored the run. but to tell the truth i dont see how the umpire saw it cuz he was behind the catcher and i dont see how he could have saw the play but who knows. was that creekwoods number 1 that started off the game?

Awesome game tonight between sycamore and creekwood. Sycamore won 5-4 in extra innings. Sycamore was in control the entire game until the last inning. They had a 4-1 lead goin into the bottom of the 7th. And their closer struggled to find the strike zone and walked i dont know how many batters and creekwood ended up tying the game. I was proud of Patton coming in with bases loaded and one out with the scored tied and gettin out of it. Sycamore scored with 1 out and bases loaded, when Mitch Greco hit a ground ball to second i believe and the throw was a little off towards home and the catcher bobbled the ball and the runner was safe. I dont know why Creekwood was upset by the call because it was the right call everybody saw the catcher didnt have any control of the ball. Oh and joey hannah pitched very good game, creekwood only had three hits off of him and the only run scored was unearned. I see Sycamore winning tom. as well, i wouldnt say easily but it wont be a struggle like tonight.

joey also just came off elbow surgery last year. thats y he didnt pitch last year. the coaches are still keepin a close eye on him cuz his arm still gets sore every time he throws.
