Interesting comment by the AD--something to the effect that SM has a target on their back because a lot of athletes are now going to SM rather than Notre Dame, Baylor and McCallie. So is it SM's argument that the private schools are behind this?
I had seem some accusations of SQ and ND but not this.
I agree with this completely. The telling part is your comment that I have in bold. Would a score of 69-35 in the 4th quarter qualify as a time to call off the dogs?
Game of the week in D-II.
If BA wins, are they 1, Baylor 2 and Ensworth 3?
If Ensworth wins, what's the tiebreaker for a 3 way tie among Baylor, BA and Ensworth?
A lot of posting today but still haven't read anyone's justification for hanging 75 on CCS last night. Time outs in the 4th quarter, starting RB still running for a TD is last couple of minutes, hurry up offense,...anyone going to attempt to justify? Other than one poster ho wasn't comfortable with a 69-35 lead in the 4th quarter.
Do you really think that shows any class at all? I'm serious--can you be satisfied with that kind of leadership?
So you and Coach Price weren't comfortable in the 4th quarter with a 69-35 score? He was so uncomfortable with such a small lead he's telling the QB to hurry to get off as many plays as possble. Truthfully, do you believe that? Or do you think he's trying to run up the score because it makes "things better", to quote Coach Price.
And this quote:
The final score read Signal Mountain 76, Chattanooga Christian School 35. Price wasn’t quite content, but as he told his players in the postgame huddle, “it makes things better.â€
All the bantering aside, how do you justify this?
Any confirmation as to who was involved; at one time, folks seemed to be pointing the finger at Notre Dame, then at SQ--does anyone know or is it still speculaton?
I'd been hearing rumors about the hiring of a an assistant coach from LFO but I hadn't heard that it had anything to do with this situation. The TSSAA letter didn't mention the hiring of the assistant coach, did it?
My post wasn't indicating that I thought they'd win the appeal; I just meant I don't think they'd run the risk of potentiall further review if they thought there were any more problems with their paperwork
I gotta believe that the decision to appeal means that SM is very confidant that this was indeed an isolated error and there aren't other skeletons in the closet. If SM wasn't satisfied this was a one time mistake, the decision to appeal would be a bigger blunder than the original error, and I just don't believe they would run that risk.
I read it before I asked the question, then I re-read it after seeing your post. Nothing in her comments lead me to conclude that she is "clearly bitter". You are reading into it what you want--but I don't see it at all.
