  1. Patrick Flannagan give me a break he wouldn't be in the top 100 much less top 10, he couldn't even cut it as a Moc!!!! ( Way over rated!!!!! )
  2. Ralph King Riverdale has to be the most overrated player to have come out of football ( In 2000 state championship football game he couldn't hold Gerald Riggs jock strap )
  3. The 1978 Red Bank team that lost to Gallatin who had Lonnie Burke at tailback. The QB for Red Bank was Bill Price and his favorite target was Gary Partrick this game was for the state championship at Red Bank in 1978!
  4. 1. Gerald Riggs Red Bank 2. Gerald Ware Red Bank 3. Jeff Price Red Bank 4. Rodney Ballard East Ridge 5. Bobby Hoppie Chattanooga Central 6.Jackie Pope Oak Ridge 7.Lonnie Burke Gallatin
  5. I saw the scrimmage Monday night, the defense looked ok for Ooltewah and they could have some pick offs but, the secondary just couldn't quite hang on to the ball. The offense looked pretty good even without our first team quarterback. Our receivers looked good, this should be one of our strong parts for this year with Langston, McMillan and Lowe back at wide receivers. The backs are going to be good with Marcus back and I have heard that the boy from McCallie is good but, I have not seen him at a Monday night passing practice yet even though he may have been there this past Monday night against Hixson.
  6. Here's my top five and not in any necessary order. 1. Bristol - 1971-72 great ball team I saw them play against Red Bank that year. 2. Baylor - 1973 state champions and national champions. 3. Gallantin - 1978 state champions with Lonnie Burke at tailback. 4. Red Bank - 2000 state champion beat Riverdale in the snow with Gerald Riggs by three touchdowns at their homefield. 5. Brentwood Academy - 1995-96 awsome team ( Best team money could buy) Still a good team.
  7. Hands Down, The Best Team Money Can Buy!!!!!!!!!
  8. Ryan Williams - Toooooooo! smallllllllll! all 5'-5" of him will not get away with this in varsity play sorry.
  9. This will be a down year for Oak Ridge lost too many quality players from last year! Look for Soddy to be tough with Tom Weathers coaching, the players are there and even some who were not going to play are going to play now since Tom arrived. Ooltewah is going to be good they were young last year and most of them are back should be a strong team. McMinn County should be strong but thay have a coaching change and with changes comes learning curves so this mayhurt them. My order of finish 1. Soddy Daisy 2. Ooltewah 3. Farraugut 4. McMinn County
  10. These are not necessarily D-1 players but are quality players from their schools. Ooltewah - 1. Antonio Lanston ( Wide receiver, punt returner and kickoff returner ) 2. Will McMillan ( Wide receiver 6'-4" with great hands ) 3. Marcus Williams ( Tailback even though he will probably play fullback in 2004, good runner and blocker ) 4. Gregory ( Super punter and a good kicker ) Red Bank - 1. Jacob Fabry ( Quarterback with speed and not a bad passer ) 2. Quinton Brown ( Wide receiver with good hands and speed to burn ) Central - 1. Brent Hayes ( What a load, super hitter D-1 prospect for sure )
  11. Justin Higdon Ooitewah , not only a good pitcher but also a first class kid!
  12. Give me a break guys! Tom Weathers now at Soddy the best coach ever in Chattanooga and easily a top five in the state.
  13. MBA is the best team money can buy!!! If you look at their roster you will see that most of their players are from everywhere but, Tennessee. So, its not even a comparison to compare them to anyone except those who can recruite with them like maybe University of Tennessee or Alabama, Miami Etc.
  14. I don't know about the Mur. Central team in 69 and 70 I'm sure they were good. But, if I rated the top 10 teams in Tennessee high school football history this would be them but, I'm not listing them in any particular order, just the top ten. 1. Bristol 70-71 didn't even have a close game all year. 2. Gallantin 78-79 super strong team. 3. Baylor 72-73 Etter's national championship team. 4. Maryville the last three years - what a tradition - history of winning! 5. Red Bank 2001 state champions - this might be the best team ever!!! Any time you beat Riverdale by three touchdowns in the snow- that ain't bad - this team had no close games as well!!! 6. Riverdale team of 94 - super balance - just a super team!!! 7. Oak Ridge national championship team in the 80's. 8. Marion County state champions of, I believe 95-96 with Eric Westmoreland they beat Brentwood Acd. on one of the greatest comebacks ever in the second half. 9. Chattanooga Central state champions with Bobby Hoppie who signed with Auburn! 10. McCallie state champions two years ago with Ryan Moore as quarterback what a ball team, super balance. I saw all of the above teams play - hard to beat any of them.
