Maybe we could invite all the teams from region1-5A,thats not playing that night,to watch.They could help cheer for us"LOL", and see what D-B has at the same time.

I'm a fan of Sullivan North,and i was just wondering how you think they might stack up to your team this year?

D-B is not gonna be down this year,they should have a better team than last year.The qb in question, will be turning heads and doing a fine job.If they run into alot of injuries,they might struggle a little bit, but if not, there gonna be tough.

These kids seem to really like each other,for the most part.I believe most of them will work as a team.There definately headed in the right direction,one thing i really like seeing, is haveing the younger kids being envolved.Last year, they barely had enough to have a freshman team.It's good to see them being out there and getting to participate, they can learn alot from being out there with the older kids.One thing that bothers me though, is the lack of support from the community.You drive through Gate City during football season, and there's signs of support up all over the place.There's times that there is alot of people in the stands, but not alot of them scream and raise the roof "sort of speak".These kids represent there community well, and deserve there support.Nothing can fire up a team better,than a lively crowd.We need to do our part and make some noise, maybe even have a tailgate party or two.You build that bond between the fans and team, and i gaurantee they will play harder.It also builds a closer community, and with a closer community you get a stronger one.We need to go that extra mile now, and fire up the stands!!!

LOL, they do look good out there now, but it's still early.The one thing that sticks out is how there improveing.In some other years,they were playing at the same level at the end of the year as the begining.Many other teams would improve as the season went along,and we would just stay the same.Allowing alot of teams that was worse than us at the begining of a season,be better than us in the end.No matter how good you are, you have to strive to do better and improve,or somebody's gonna catch ya.I'm already seeing alot of improvement, if they continue it through the season, there gonna be real tough.They could be maybe the best team North has had, but the whole team is gonna have to step up.There's only a handful doing any extra on there own, the rest is doing just what is expected of them.You can be a good team like that, but you won't be champs.Some leadership is gonna have to be established, and pressure applied to others to step it up.5 or 6 giving it there all, is not gonna beat 11 on the field.When practice is over and you see only 4 out 40 something guy's running that extra lap,don't expect alot.Because when it gets tough out there on the field, those other 7 that hasn't learned to push themselves, is gonna quit.If this team wants to really be champs,there gonna have to learn to push themselves.Some of the seniors are setting good examples, the rest need to follow them.

I didn't pick D-B as a sleeper.To put it simple, i said that there would not be any sleepers sneak in and take the region1-5A crown.Because there isn't a team gonna be consistant enough week in and week out,to take it from them.I also said if i had to pick a sleeper,it would be Science Hill or Sevier County.

I've never seen Maryville play, but to win the way they do, somebody has to be doing something right.A good coach can make a average team, good and a good team even better.They can even make a bad team decent or good.But a bad coach will keep a bad team bad, make a good team bad,and can even make a great team, just plain average.Coaching is everything,you can win a few games on just talent,but you'll never be the one on the top without good coaching.Maryville has to have a good staff all together.

RD94, no, he came here from Anderson County.Coach Norris, went to D-B from North a year ago.

Ouch!!! LOL, North should have a solid ball team this year, and may be one of the better North teams ever.D-B will be tough,they are every year.This game could be a game between, region 1-5A champs,and region 1-3A champs.Both from Kingsport, that would be pretty cool.North does have one problem area that they need to get fixed soon, but i'm not gonna tell it here. LOL

Coach Wampler, at Sullivan North, has to rank right up there.I believe people will be suprised at what he and his staff get's accomplished at North.

I don't think anybody's gonna sneak up on D-B.Many think there on a down year, but there loaded this year,i believe there gonna be better than last year.Somebody might get them in a game, but they'll still take the region.If i had to pick a sleeper,i guess it would be Science Hill or Sevier county.

I thought i might here from a few more D-B fans than this.Anybody want to make any early season predictions on this game?Are there any Raider fans in here?How about any others familiar with these schools,what are your guys thoughts about this game?

Well, i sure hope coach is in a good mood then."LOL" D-B may be down this year, but i don't think they will be down as much as some think.They still look pretty loaded to me, may in fact even have a better team this year than last.North did lose there qb,wr's,but they do get there rb's back.They have some good players ready to step in,but have always seemed to want to put all there eggs in one basket.They have some kids there that can play ball, we'll just have to see if they get the chance.As far as the game goes, ya might beat them in a area or to,but i dont think you'll whip them all over the field, or just walk all over them.Alot can happen between now and then"injuries" and stuff, but i think it's a good game for the Kingsport area.

I think Sullivan North will pull it out this year.

How many of you'll think North can give D-B a good ballgame?I think North lost something like 6 starters off ball sides of the ball.I also think there could be some surprises hidden in this team.I know some of you D-B guys played with some of the North kids over in Lynn Garden,what do you guys think?I have alot of respect for the new head coach, and really like the work ethic he brings with him.I believe he will do a great job, as does many others that has seen his efforts so far.But it's really up to the players, how willing they are to come together as a team with the "same goal in mind " is yet to be seen.I'm gonna go with North, yes because im biased, and because i know these kids and believe in them.It's up to them to work hard and believe they have reason to believe in themselves.GO RAIDERS!!!!! WORK HARD,STAND TALL, BE PROUD!!!!!!!!!
