Powell Valley has like 8 or 9 state championships....

It was a slaughter,54-7.It was 33-0 at the end of the first,39-0 at halftime,47-0 at the end of the 3rd,54-7 final.Would have been 61-0, but a Lee High guy had a interception at the 4yd. line and returned it 96 yards.Powell Valley did what ever they wanted,anytime they wanted too...Lee High's team looked like a freshman team, they were very small..They could move the ball some on P.V.,but made a ton of mistakes to kill drives.But when Powell Valley had the ball, it was like they wasn't a defense out there at all..P.V., offense looked strong and had very solid special teams,the defense has some work to do.I think we may have something for them,it just depends on if were ready to show alittle bit or not...P.V run a offense very similiar to the one North used last year,didn't go downfield much in the passing game,but Lee played way off so they took what they gave them.They did go downfield some just before the half,there q.b. put alot of air under the ball when going downfield,gave plenty of time for convergeing.Lee could get some heat on them from the outside, but most of there passes was quick release.If we don't get scared of getting burned,i think we are fast enough to play up on them,and bring heat off the corners to take care of that nit picking down the field.Gotta watch the draws though,they run some option out of the shotgun some.Most everthing they ran was off tackle on out and hitch patterns.They tended to go off there left tackle alot,and #14 was by far there favorite target.They ran a w.r. screen once that was excuted very well,linemen got out in front very quick and made the blocks.They were very well coached.Lee could get the corners on them, and completed some nice out patterns, couldn't do nothing in the middle at all.Samething on the kick returns, they stuffed the middle,but didn't do a good job of containing the outside.Our db's need to keep there head up,because there o-line loves to catch you downfield trailing or angleing on the play, and try to take your head off......Go get em Raiders.....

Congrads Indians on the win, keep it up.The real tests are coming up, take it to em..........Don't lose focus, and remember what the other teams in your region was saying earlier about how you guy's was down,and they were all gonna get a piece of ya this year!!!!!!!It's your throne, make em take it from ya, DON'T GIVE IT TO THEM!!!!!!!!Good luck guy's....We get Powell Valley Friday,they monkey stomped Lee High 54-7, hope we do Tenn. proud.....

Sullivan North hosts Powell Valley Va. next Friday.Powell Valley has 8 Virginia state championships,82,85,89,90,94,95,97,98.It's where the Jones boys went to high school, Thomas went to Virginia and now with Tampa Bay.The younger brother plays for Notre Dame,not sure how to spell his name.Should be fun,i hope anyway,lol...

Keep em from haveing to many big plays in the passing game, and you guy's will have no trouble...There faster than they have been in the past.

No apology needed, you guy's whipped us, and earned the right to say it.The important thing is as long as you guy's don't take South for granted, they can't beat ya.If ya stuff the fullback, and contain the qb, you stop South.There qb is very athletic, if ya come out flat and allow him to scrabble around and make a play or two,then they will start believe they can play with ya.That's when you get in a much tougher game than you need to with them.Alot of things can happen then, one situation that could come out of it.The game get's much more physical and starters has to play harder and longer,opening the chance of a injury to key players.You guy's don't need a injury like this that could cost ya on down the road, all because you allowed a South team you should beat easy to give ya a tough game.Take em serious, put em away, and move on.See ya Monday at the North,D-B J.V. game....

Guy's don't get to over confident with the North thing, yeah you laid a whoopin on em.But they didn't even try to beat ya, yeah the kids did, but go watch your film, they just put in the time.Show me one play that wasn't part of a very basic offense,you won't find one, not one....The only time the defense stunted any was in the 2nd and 3rd qaurters, to keep ya from just running it up,and they stuffed ya.My point is not makeing excuses,but don't build yourself up to big over this game because it will cost ya later on,maybe not this week but sooner or later.You need to continue to work very hard and not take anything for granted.You have a very good ball team, but don't lose focus and let it cost ya.North is history, you need not think your great for that victory, you better get focused and back to feeling you have something to prove each week......Good luck guy's.........

Thanks guy's, it's been alot of fun.The main thing was a huge crowd turned out and both schools got some much needed funds.Waco, it's been a blast, take care friend!!!!!!!!!! AH, there's always next year......LOL

Hey, good looking job out there Indians.Let me say that i was impressed, but let me also clear up a couple of things.I never said D-B had a bad team,if you look back at the first of this post and some other posts, i said D-B had a very good team.Never did i say a bad thing about D-B.Yeah i talked about North being a real good team,and they'd be ready.They was ready alright you guys were the only ones ready.I still think North has got one of the better teams they've had there,but there gonna have to prove they wanna win.I think some of the kids played hard, but practiceing 5 1/2 hours game week for a team like D-B,tells me something.I thought all things considered North defense played pretty good, they stayed on the field all night, and on there own side about all of it.Special teams stunk, and the offense, what offense.The o-line got beat off the ball bad, and the backs didn't help much.First of all you gotta hold on to the ball, and you can't run inside straight up.A good back doesn't need a whole big enough to drive a truck through, all he needs is a crack or seam.I wasn't impressed with the backfield at all,very few times did they hit it up in there low and hard.Nor did they take advantage of the cracks or seams that was there.I think the coaches at North are very good coaches, and will get things righted.My opinion on the game,D-B wanted to prove something and they did.They looked very good, slightly struggled in the red zone at times,but looked very good to me.I wish D-B all the luck, and i'll be pulling for ya along with all teams from Kingsport.North,still my team,i was proud of the defense,great effort all things considered.Offense needs some tweaking and somebody to step up and hit that thing up in there.Special teams needs to really improve you can't try to kill a man in open field, gotta get a hold and just make the play.Good luck to both teams, You guys go get that region1 5A title,and we'll see what we can do about that 3A title in region1.

How was my last post talking trash.I haven't said a bad thing about anyone, singled out anyone, or scalped anyone yet.All the motivation that any team should need is who there playing.If your not ready for them, then they can beat ya.If that's trash talking then every coach in the country is a trash talker...

Come on up Thurs. night for the game between the Indians and Raiders..It's gonna be a good one...

This team is comeing after ya, get mad or whatever, but that's what there suppose to do.What, you want them to just lay down for the mighty Indians, if that's how you expect to win then i got some bad news for ya.YOU WON'T!!!!!!!!

Go Interstate 81 east, get off at 181 "Kingsport,Johnson City exit".Go toward Kingsport, take the Wilcox exit,go right off the exit, and just stay on that road.The school is about 4 or 5 miles on the right, can't miss it.

Gee, i sure am glad you boys are pumped and ready,that'll take care of that excuse later...Just keep on thinking what you won't about the qb,heck i could care less what ya thought about the whole team..Just bring your hype and come on over, but don't quit when it starts getting tough.You guys know just as well as i know what's gonna happen, just be ready because you can rest assured that you'll be in a war Thurs. night, and it's not gonna go away till the final horn..You've never had a team coming after ya like this one is.....
