  1. I am on here late, but a few thoughts from the game. First, BA was a tough team. They gave us all we wanted in the first half and brought a ton of fans. The QB and WR, as well as that No 84 are very tough. I thought BA had a very good game plan that paid off for them in the first half. The difference in the second half I thought was two big factors. First, the defense made some small adjustments that allowed them to get to the QB a lot faster. He didn't have much time to throw in the snd half. Second, I thought out team got up to game speed much better in the second half. Our QB was making his reads much faster in the 2nd half and that made a big difference. I thought the two way players made a difference late, but the game was in hand by then. Finally, someone mentioned that we had been in pads for six weeks, We can't go into pads until August 1.
  2. Sorry to get on here so late to offer congratulations to MBA. I am very sorry to hear of the extent of the injuries to the quarterback. Best of luck on his recovery. I really hope this series continues. For one, I want the chance to get even in the series. More importantly, you just don't learn anything about your team in a blowout win. The game Saturday night will give Trinity a lot of things to work on and improve. We couldn't have been treated better than we were three years ago in Nashville (I couldn't make it last year). You brought a great crowd to Marshall Stadium and brought out a good Trinity crowd. This year we play seven district games and only three out of district games. With the new six class set up in Kentucky we will only have three district games, so we should be able to figure out the schedule. One question, Any chance to add a freshman or JV game on the afternoon of the varsity game? One of the problems with the regional games is not getting a game for the JV and freshman teams. I look forward to seeing you next year and good luck the rest of the season.
  3. I look forward to this game and hope it will continue. The game will be broadcast on AM 900 and the internet y Trinity. You can get to the internet broadcast at http://www.thsrock.net/index.php?p=436&amp...e0a1718eeb7d5ea Sorry you can't come to the game, but for the rest of you, come up early and stay late.
  4. I expect a good game. Trinity played a scrimmage last week. They are replacing most of the skill positions, except quarterback. In past seasons it has taken a while for the quarterback and new receivers to get on the same page. In Trinity's first scrimmage, that was the case. We'll see this week. I hope that this series will continue after this season. I enjoyed the hospitality at MBA and hope we can return the favor.
  5. Bell County was not the champion of any class in 1995, let alone 4A. The 4A champion in 95 was St. Xavier.
  6. I can't comment on the relative merits of football in the two states. I have only seen two TN teams - BA last year against Cincy x and MBA last Saturday. Both were very good teams. I do have a few corrections to some of the earlier posts. The Ky 4A champ in 83 was Trinity, not Christian County. They beat a good Owensboro team with Mark Higgs in the final. Warren Central has never won a 4A title. They were runner-up to Trinity in 89 and 90. The best football school in Ky is a matter of opinion, but I think the record would say Trinity.
  7. Those girls were seniors, huh. I think my age is showing. Sorry girls. Anyway, it was a good game that I hope will lead to a big improvement in the Rocks. Good luck the rest of the year.
  8. I saw the cheerleaders try to put up the sign. It was behind the Trinity bench and said something along the lines of "crush the shamrocks". There is zero chance that that type of sign will last behind a teams bench. It was taken down by fans, but the girls were not hassled other than a few good natured boos and a little boy of about nine who went behind them and removed the tape. The cheerleaders looked very young (freshmen?) so maybe they were sent over by the older cheerleaders as some sort of hazing. I can't believe that they are sent out to put up paper signs behind the other teams bench at every game.
  9. Thanks to all of the MBA folks for being great hosts (especially the very nice lady in the ticket booth). We were beaten by a better team. We will get better. I thought that the MBA defensive scheme was perfect to take advantage of Trinity's inexperienced o-line. Good luck to MBA the rest of the year. See you in Louisville next year.
  10. I'm in Louisville. There should be a good number of us in Nashville on Saturday and thanks for the wecome..
  11. I expect a very good game. Trinity has a lot of new players on offense. It will be tough. This year's team starts off at 0-0 and must build its own "road to the championship". I plan to get there early. Any way you look at it, this game is a good thing. If MBA wins, it will show the weak points that must be corrected if Trinity is to repeat as Kentucky champion. If Trinity wins, it will bring them some good press for beating such an outstanding team.
  12. Thanks, I'm looking forward to a little Tn hospitality and a great football game.
  13. I plan to be in Nashville and am looking forward to a great game. I watched BA against Cincy St X last year and was impressed by the BA team. How much seating is there on the MBA visitors side. I'll stand on my head to watch the game if I have to, but old bones would prefer a seat.
