Does Sequatchie not have any playoff hopes? I thought they were loaded when we played them to open the season.

Congrats to East Ridge on thier 8-0 win iover Bledsoe in the 6-AA Softball Tournament at Grundy County. Congrats are also in order to Bledsoe who defeated Hixson 3-0 in the losers bracket finals which put them in the region tournament for the first time in many years. This was a great tournament with 7 of the 14 games being decided by one run. I hope this is a sign of things to come for 6-AA softball because it was sure fun to see so many games that were so close. Good luck to East Ridge and Bledsoe in the Regionals!

You people from Hixson think that its a great feat that you hit a bunch of homers against Howard and get on here and run your pie eaters about it but when Grundy throws back to back no hitters your give then no credit at all for that. Hitting homers and throwing no hitters are both hard to do regardless of who you are playing, all I got to say is it goes both ways so dont bust on Grundy becuase we not hit two teams that are not very good because you just hit 10 homers against a team is worse than the two team that we no hit!

If your grandma could beat Bledsoe then maybe you should have put her in your batting lineup when East Ridge or Hixson played Grundy ealier this year. Maybe she would have done as good at hitting against Grundy as she would do pitching to Bledsoe. Just a thought.

Troy was a stndout for the Vikes in the late 80's. What is he doing these days and did he marry that fox he started dating when they were in third grade? Anybody have any info please let me know! If you are out ther Troy let us know.

This is going to be a crazy tournament just like everyone has predicted.

I was there for the whole thing from start to finish and saw what happened with my own eyes. I refuse to get on here and tell what happened because its not like people from Hixson are really going to listen to the truth anyway. The people that need to hear what happened have already been contacted and the ones that need to be informed about the situation will be today. You can read the post on this thread and tell that there has been a history (this year) with Hixson and games played at Hixson High School. The safety of high school student athletes is very important and the boys basketball team at Grundy County High School was in a very dangerous situation leaving the game on Friday. There is not a lot that ONE security guard can do to keep things calm. This is why Hixson and there administration needs to hire actual police officers to work thier games. It would also help if thier principal who stood next two the two main culprits outside the gym would have done ANYTHING to help with the situation. It would also be a great help if the referee that came out and said the things he said as he was leaving would have just got in his car and left without saying anything. After all that is what he was told to do becasue I have worked for the TSSAA and know what they tell officials to do in situations of this manner. I promise you that the referee said things that any average person would have not said and being that he was an official that means he should be held at a higher standard.

The scoreboard has Culleoka winning 70-66. That is a shocker to me because it was Culleoka's first win of the season (if all the scores are right and up to date on this sight). This just goes to show that nobody is to good to lose on any night in 11-A. I have said it once and will say it again. This District Tournament will be crazy! I still like Huntland's chances with the tournament at Huntland. I still say its a toss up between them, Moore County and Cascade. With Cascade winning at Moore Co. last night you know they will play a major factor in how this turns out. Its just going to be a lot of fun to see how it turns out. This makes for a lot of fun for the fans when you have five or six teams that could win the tournament if they are playing well at that time. It will be interesting to see if Unionville recovers from this loss works toward getting ready for the tournament, I hope they can.

It was a great game, Give the Grundy's players the credit they did it as a team. Also a big thanks to the crowd and student section.

I think so too... From what I have saw he does a great job. I hope to see the Queens in the region. This district is so closely matched that the first round of the district tournament will be great. Thats the night when you need to play your A game. Good luckto everybody and may the best team win!

What I want to know is what coach would make them happy? Is there anybody out there that could please every kid and parent? If anybody knows a coach that can do that let me know I would like to meet him or her.

Hey Knight, Where did GCcoach say anything about Zach starting? He said his kid was tough but never said he deserved to start.

I think he blew his knee out near the mid-point of last year. That also goes back to the point that I made that he is not from Giles and thats why is are saying what you are. Who cares the cream will always rise to the top just sit back and watch.
