  1. Well now thats its all said and done, looking back I rank the best in the State of Tennessee like this 1. MBA 2. Brentwood Academy 3. Christian Brothers 4. Germantown 5. Lincoln County 6. Hillsboro 7. Memphis Melrose 8. Riverdale 9. Maryville 10. Fulton What do you think?
  2. I feel the football games should and probably will always be played in the Nashville Metro Area, its a football area. Its right smack in the center of the state and nobody has a good reason for moving it. If you worry about the crowd count, imagine how empty Neyland or the Liberty Bowl would look hosting these games. Basketball, however is going to go to Memphis real soon. Memphis, is a basketball area, so the same reasoning, should be applied here. Besides, with the facility they built, its location to Beale Street, hotels and dining..nobody will be able to argue with its location. The spring fling I thought was alright last year. As far as the facilities which were used, I felt they were second to none. The soccer complex was awesome, the downtown baseball field was sweet!! I do understand the travel, so I think we have to throw East Tn a bone here, and give it to either Knoxville or Chatt. This way kids get to see the whole state, each area is awarded an event for financial gain.
  3. Whats Up with Melrose and Hillsboro?? Anything?
  4. Memphis Catholic WR Martin Foster 54 rec. 1,047 14 TD's The QB had 1,200 yds and a RB had 1,000 rushing not bad for a 2-8 team who lost 3 games on the last play in OT
  5. just trying to pass along the insiders take on the depth and resources in the mound. I am still very close to several college programs, and they are all impressed with the talent Kenny has right now in the mound...if they stay focused its going to be real difficult for anyone to stop them from having a championship season.
  6. Melrose is simply the best public school in the state! They are loaded with D-1 talent and speed which can't be matched. They lost a very conservative game vs CBHS, on an int in their own endzone. I feel they can play with the BA, MBA's and Lincoln Co's...I know they are better than G'town and CBHS simply by watching them play. They have the best QB in the state, they have the best set of skilled plyers in the state. oh yeah, defense is fast and hit like trucks
  7. This should be a great game! What are your thoughts? I think those Cobra's have been getting better each week, what I saw them do to Briarcrest was impressive. Remind me a lot of last years Ridgeway team, tall, lanky, and lateral quicks..that defense is the real deal.
  8. looking forward to it, this game and the Tyner-Lipscomb game will let us know what we can look forward to. Going to be a great night of football in 2A next week, the whole state will be watching
  9. never mind: I just heard G'town won 20-9 and Bolton 34-24 looks pretty good for Coach White's debut season!

    Germantown

Does anyone have an update on the G'town game? Did Bolton hold on and beat White Station?
  11. Have a little class, the season just ended for those kids...trust me a lot of teams have been pushed around by Melrose, that squad from Memphis has more talent than any other team in this state, and according to some college coach's I'm close to perhaps the best group of talent on one individual team in the south.... so before you crack on those guys look and see about 6 other teams were shut out and a total of 9 teams scored a TD or less vs Melrose
  12. Carver beat Treadwell 45-12 This team is solid!! Covington over Ripley 17-14
  13. BGA spanked ECS 31-12 no more Memphis Privates left now, CBHS, ECS and B'crest all gone!! Whats the Melrose and G'town games look like?
  14. Knox Catholic won 41-28 over B'crest
