Coach J will have the Cavs ready to play this week. I think they will take care of business Friday night. The Cavs are a very young team this year with @ 32 juniors and 34 sophomores. They have improved the latter part of the season and have gained confidence over the year. Cavs look to improve their record before the playoffs.

#47 is Shane Bates. He is a JUNIOR. He is an awesome football player. As for the game. I think that Riverdale played an awesome game. So did Cookeville. On that last drive, RIverdale really showed up. As for the players, Guys, it has been a heck of a year. You guys played your hearts out, and nothing hurts worse that playing your heart out and coming up short. In my opinion, you guys are the best team in this state, hands down. You guys really showed Riverdale what Cookeville football is all about, and you guys should keep your heads up, cause you guys played an awesome game!!!!! GO CAVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that Riverdale fans might be using some of those excuses because the game is in Cookeville. The atmosphere will be intense, and in that moment when Riverdale loses, they will search for a scapegoat. GO CAVS!!!!!!

If a team has traditions like that, they should keep them for home games, cause it is a slap in the face to the other team. Just think how mad the Riverdale fans would be if some team went and stomped on the emblem in the middle of your field. I respect traditions of schools, but you can push it too far, and that is an example. But hey, if they try that friday night, it might just spark some extra energy to the cavs.

Yes, Gus Paxton (#31) graduated along with the two linebackers you were talking about, Tyler Turner and Russell Tribble. We have some great players replacing them though.!!!!!!!!!!

I did not mean to say that you are using that excuse, I was saying that to all of the people who can not and refuse to believe in Cookeville and what they are doing.

Great win last night Cavs. You guys showed what Cookeville Football is really about. I went onto the field last night after the game and the field was dry, so no one can make the remark that the field is gonna be wet, unless it rains this week. No more excuses about that. GO CAVS!!!!!!!!

It is game day, and it is gonna be a cold one. I feel that Coach J will have the player's heads straight. I will make the trip to my alma mater, cheering for the cavs till every minute. My prediction: CHS-28 WCHS-20 GO CAVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being a alumni of Cavalier Football, I am very proud to see my team do as well as they have, but they still have two games left... Hopefully Coach J keeps their heads strait, cause if they do that, then I dont see anyone beating them in the postseason. From the way you are posting, it sounds like sparta fans are not the nicest fans in the world either. I say that cookeville sticks it to sparta on friday night and gain momentum going into the meat of their season. GO CAVS

I think that Cookeville redirects their agression towards friday nights loss Ooltewah and dominates Sparta. The cavs have to put the loss behind them and pull through the rest of the season. I know that I, along with most other former football players will be in attendance friday night . CHS-51 WCHS-14 GO CAVS.

I agree with you, cookeville will be very motivated to win, coach j will make sure of that. Because I have played with almost all of the cookeville players, i feel that cookeville is a state contender, but first they must overcome Ooltewah. I believe they will be victorious come friday night, my prediction: CHS-35 OHS-24 ~GO CAVS~

I hate that a game of this magnitude is screwed up because of bad officiating. I am not just blaming the officials for the loss, but they had a major role!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe that you are mistaken, Cookeville's depth is one of the best in the district. Any one of them can light if up from beyond the arc at any time. I believe that this game could come down to free throws, which cookeville had the clear advantage in the last meeting. 10 minutes till gametime. My pick: CHS-58 LHS-54 GO CAVS!!!!!!
