  1. I couldn't agree with you more! We seem to win the penalties category each week. Not a stat I would be proud of! We somehow manage to get at least 1 personal foul in every game
  2. Thanks for that link to the Tennesseean Jabbo! Everyone need to look at those stats! Smyrna did not gain 100 yds rushing. Edmiston out gunned Wolke by many yds through the air! I know that some were short passes and the receivers ran with the ball, but it all counts in the books as passing yds.
  3. I agree with you on this! He is definitely not running the ball as hard as he did the first of the year. It took 3 or 4 people to bring him down during the 1st half of the year. I don't know what is up with him. Since he got hurt, he tips to the line of scrimmage when he gets the ball...not hitting the holes with authority. He needs to learn to stick it up in there at the end of a play and quit stopping his forward progress!... and quite some of the East-West stuff. In that last series when we took the lead in the ball game before Smyrna tied it up, he ran the ball hard! like he did at the beginning of the year!
  4. I have to respectfully disagree with you. This officiating crew called this game better than those BOZOs last week. The officiating had nothing to do with the outcome of this game. I think they called a decent game.
  5. It looks like they have them all to worry about Even if they get past Riverdale next week, it seems that Knoxville DB and Oak Ridge are hitting on all cylinders also, and they have to travel to East Tennessee. With that being said, I hope when you are saying that they don't have but one game to worry about is don't worry about noone but Riverdale! Riverdale is all that should be on their minds and I think they are plenty!
  6. Man, what a ballgame!!! If you weren't at this one, you missed a good one!!! All I can say is Whew!!!! that was close Falcons! Edmiston to Chanze Bryson with 16 seconds left was the game winner! Chanze pulled it out for us again! Smyrna came to play and almost came away with the big upset. Both teams coughed it up several times in this game. Our coaching staff finally wised up and realized you can't run the ball with 11 men in the box and opened it up the second half with the passing game which I continue to say, we have to do more to win. I just wish we pass it little more on 1st down instead of waiting until 3rd down. No excuses in this one. Just 2 good teams playing a good football game. The "PIT" was packed! and I expect it to overflow next week with Riverdale coming to town for revenge. Smyrna, you played an excellent game!!! #5 and #7 really impressed me. Wolke if that is spelled correctly came through when he had too. You gave us a scare, but we survived! and that is the name of the game in the playoffs! Go Falcons! You have to play even harder to beat Riverdale next week!
  7. They all have tried the run blitz. You may stop him some of the time, but you won't stop him all of the time. Riverdale did a decent job in the 4th quarter of that ballgame at Tomahawk field. I think the Falcons will be totally focused, sharp, and look like the dominating team they have been all year. The defense will be flying all over the field all night long, and the offense will provide a good mix of pass and run. Lincoln County wins this game. Good luck to both teams. GO FALCONS, ROAST THEM DAWGS AT THE PIT!!!!
  8. Are there any Rebel fans out there? What's your opinion on this match up? I think many of us are not Rebel fans on here. Do you think Franklin County catches Riverdale looking ahead of the brackets to a possible next week match up that could or could not happen? It is a very strong possibility
  9. Man, you keep up don't you! Yea, I haven't seen him play, but heard the same as you. Our Ninth Grade Academy has some good athletes also coming to the high school next year also, but will need time to develop. You know, the speed of the game is far different in high school than Jr. High, especially when your freshmen don't play for the high school like Riverdale's freshmen do.
  10. Oh NO You didn't mention Jim Bob Cooter! They will have a ball with this one As soon as his name is mentioned, it goes on and on and on....
  11. That is your opinion brother and you are entitled to it, but ain't it funny that more than one is saying the same thing here! Again, I'm not taking anything away from Oakland, and have said that in an early post that I started. I said that Oakland had something to do with Lincoln County not playing one of their better games, and no, I don't think any LC Fan expected Lincoln County to cruse 50-0 in this ballgame. I call a spade a spade, and the officiating in this game was terrible!!! PERIOD!
  12. Who has the edge in this one? I think if Franklin County plays to their potential, they could keep it close with ball control football.
  13. I like you answer! Yea, you'll have other chances BUT COME ON ANYWAY TO THE "PIT"
  14. I have been anticipating this game since about 4 weeks back, and it scares me! I saw Smyrna play Riverdale earlier in the season. They do have the O Line and D Line that matches up with Lincoln County well! The linebacker they have will knock your lights out, and as posted by someone is all over the field. I think that Lincoln County will re-group this week after a sub par performance last night. I hope that Gregory plays, but the backup RB is just as good! The battle will be won up front in this game, and the team that control their line of scrimmage, will win this game in my opinion. Falcons win, but not in a blowout. This will be a good test for the Falcons if they are to make it to the promise land!
  15. If we related Lincoln County's team to a golf game next year, they will be around even in my opinion. The QB position will be all the difference next year in which we will be weak and want make par. If Cumberland County gets most of it's kids back, they will be a good team too!
  16. We will try an do our best to bring it home for our region! Thanks! and good luck to the raiders next year. You will be hard to handle! Lincoln County has some experience coming back next year, but will definitely be weak at the QB position. If you beat us next year with all that you have coming back, I want be surprised at all!
  17. What is the latest on Josh Gregory's injury?
  18. Couldn't agree with "U" more Falcon4. I've been screaming this for the past weeks, and maybe everyone can see it now, we are going to have to pass it as well as run it to win the title. Teams are going to key on Michael (spy) and Josh in these playoffs. We could have passed it all night long with ease, but chose to keep putting Michael in the shotgun; do 2 fakes, and run the ball... and Oakland pretty much caught on to that and shut it down! What about that Chanze Bryson? (#4 for those of you who don't know who I'm spakin of) This guy is a gamer if you will! He doesn't get the credit that he deserves. One tough ball player who can flat out catch the pass. Just throw it in his area, and usually he comes up with the catch. I know that he goes both ways,(plays a good DB also) but need to use him more in the passing game. Also, Dobbins is a good receiver, but we only seem to throw it to him one time per game. We could kill most opponents with the Tight end across the middle all night long. Every game that I have been too, the middle is open, but we don't exploit it with our Tight end. I agree Falcon 4, we have many weapons, and need to look at this week putting in some new wrinkles to get them the ball
  19. Right on! I chimed in regards to the officiating on another thread but will post it here also. Not taking anything away from the Patriots, but the officiating absolutely "STUNK" in this game. It was raining yellow all game long. I don't know where this crew was from but Lincoln County couldn't do anything right. If they gain good yardage, the yellow hankies came out. I think LC had about 14 penalties and Oakland had about maybe 4 for the game (Statman has corrected this total with 11 for LC). Certainly not home cooking in this one but again, not taking anything away from Oakland. It seemed that the officials wanted to keep the game close. Oakland whipped our O line in my opinion. Inot2bad if you are out there, what have I been saying for the last weeks, LC is going to have to pass the ball if they are to win the title. Maybe you will agree with me now. Oakland put them in the box all night and dared us to pass and the thing about it, we could pass on them, but chose to try and keep running Michael. The main thing is we survived, and that is what the playoffs is all about... win by 50 or by 1 pt. just survive until the next game!
  20. I couldn't agree with you more! I posted this on another thread out there on LC an Oakland. It was absolutely horrible! You have the stats, what did we have like 14 penalties to about 4 for them?
  21. Not one of Lincoln County's better games this year. Oakland had something to do with that. If you were there, what are your thoughts?
  22. Lincoln County wins 19-6. Oakland came to play! no doubt about that. Lincoln County's "D" was the difference as has been all year. Not taking anything away from the Patriots, but the officiating absolutely "STUNK" in this game. It was raining yellow all game long. I don't know where this crew was from but Lincoln County couldn't do anything right. If they gain good yardage, the yellow hankies came out. I think LC had about 14 penalties and Oakland had about maybe 4 for the game. Certainly not home cooking in this one but again, not taking anything away from Oakland.
